"Maybe they'll work, Maybe they won't", Apparently some people have no problem with these DVD's. I, however, have maybe gotten one to work out of maybe 9 or ten. The bottom line is that these DVD's simply do not work with every burner. Try another brand. I'm not saying that they work 100% of the time, but I will say that this brand has the highest rate of failure from what I've seen and experienced.

"Good value", I continually need more capacity for data archiving, these are great until I can afford blu-ray

"Just OK, not worth the savings", I bought these Memorex because they were so much cheaper than the Verbatim. For me, a mistake. I knew it was a risk as all the reviews I read made this clear. But, I decided to gamble and it didn't work out. Out of 25 I had 7 coasters. Then I bought the Verbatim and got a 100% return. In the end, it was not worth the hassle and may have costs me more.

"Dual Layer DVD+R", Awesome product. Simply awesome! Great disks that burn perfectly. No coasters here!

"Wow", I would keep an eye on this products price, i bought a few months ago for $20, not sure why it is so much more expensive now. I wouldnt buy at this price.

As for the quality, I've had a decent amount of burn failures, and while i'm not sure if this is a result of my burner or the DVDs, i'd say these are not a bad choice for people wanting DL DVDs

"Good Reliable Product", This item is a very good buy considering that the dual layer DVD's are still so expensive. I bought two and it was much cheaper than one 50-pack spindle. Only one of fifty did not work but that was because the program I was using to backup my data crashed during the burn process.
I would definitely purchase this product again.

"Blame it on Burner", I use plextor 16X dual layer burner. burned 40. All 40 of them came out good. If you use a junk DVD burner lot of medias will fail. You will have to do an exhaustive research to find a media that is compatible with your drive.

"Performs to Liking", I use them mainly for copying images above 4.7GB. I use an external LG to burn the image. It takes about 25 minutes to burn a 6-7GB file, but it performs flawlessly everytime. Dual Layer are know to be expensive, and 25 for 30 dollars is a bargain.

"If your drive will burn them properly, they are a good medium", Memorex has always been a mixed bag for me. But it is hard to find economical DVD±R DL disks, so I figured I'd give these a try. Well I have several DVD burners, and what's nice is every one I have tried has made a successful burn, but only some claimed to give a successfully burn. What I mean is my NEC 3520 said burned failed at the end of burning, but the disk worked fine in it's entirety (used for data). When I burned it with my NEC 3550, no errors, and a fine burn.

So if you have an older DVD burner, be weary of this medium. But if you have several different burners to try it on, then you should find at least one that'll burn right. Also, just because it says it failed, check the disk to see if it actually did.

"Worthless when combined with a cheap burner", I use a mediocre external burner and these disks would not work at all... I tried five and all failed. A friend has a new Macintosh laptop with a built-in burner, though, and they work fine for her. These are cheap and if your writing device is crumby, they might not work.
