"I'm hooked"
I am not by any means a video-game player and I am the person who has to ask her IT department to help her with pretty much every computer task. That said, a store in my city had The Journey out to try so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I'm totally hooked!

The graphics and music alone are beautiful and I have found the practices that I learned and continue to learn really helpful in my day to day life. It was very easy to load up (trust me, I asked lots of questions at the store just to make sure I'd be able to do it) and I can't get enough.

I'm definitely considering giving this to some family members for the holidays. The benefits really have effected my lifestyle and I would love to share that with others.

"Want MORE stress in your life? Look no further!!"
All the good points this product has to offer can rarely be experienced because of the problems with the sensors. (That is the blue bio-feedback device that attaches to your fingers.) I had this product and used it on and off for months and finally quit due to how stressed I would get every time the sensors stopped sensing my heart beat or just wouldn't take in the signals. It wasn't a once in a while thing either, it happened ALL the time. When the sensors don't work, you have to do alot of adjusting not only on your hand, but on the screen as well and sometimes THAT doesn't even work so they suggest that you put lotion on your fingers (but not too much or problems will get worse), or to rub your hands together to warm them up, or to breath heavily... in other words they have an entire page online devoted to problems with the sensors and have all these 'tricks' to make the thing finally work which means they don't EXPECT you to be getting a working product here. The main issue with this game according to the forum on the boards regarding this product is the sensor issue. It got to the point where even the thought of playing the game became stressful for me because I started to automatically link this game to spending forever fixing a problem. And when it was working fine I was stressed because I knew that at any second the problem could start again and I'd have to stop the game.
If they ever get a chance to fix that it'll be a great addition to your meditation practice as it gives you the chance to see the results of your sessions immediately. Until then this is just a waste of money.

"Infinite Possibilities to Make Money"
If there is one thing which most interferes with my sense of peace, relaxation and serenity, it is the wealthy practitioners of New Age self-help mumbo jumbo who take advantage of the vulnerable sheep who seek relief from their anxieties and feelings of emptiness. Just create a soundtrack with the mandatory cheezy strings and flute-whistles, mount that on a snazzy motif of floating orbs, otherworldly opulence, and flowing robes, throw in some pseudo high-tech wires and clamps which do nothing more than measure one's rate of heart-beat (which is in no way "biofeedback"), place that in an elegant upscale box, charge an upscale price, and you have created a package which will cater to all those non discriminating suckers as represented by the glowing and almost universally positive reviews found here. Another similar product which is even more costly and which I ordered and returned along with this one, says it all in small print on the box: "has no medical efficacy, and is to be considered as entertainment." But if this kind of "entertainment" reinforces your oblivious sense of accomplishment, just send in your big bucks to the New Age dudes in their big houses who sit around and conjure up even more "infinite possibilities" of developing their "full potential" to make even more money. I recommend a good book on meditation, and actually sitting down and doing it.

"Ok, So I am an old "flower child from the 60's"
I used biofeedback to center myself years ago and was trying to explain it to my grandchildren. I bought this "Journey To The Wild Divine" to practice 1 hour a day and work with my grandkids as often as possible. They already know Grandma is not your usual grandma so they have come to expect just about anything. What I have noticed they learn very fast how to center themselves and apply the things they are learning in regular life situations. They are leaning how to focus their energy quickly. I think this will keep us busy for a long time to come. The music and graphics interesting. No violence. Just love and peace! There are guides in game who help you find your way in case you wonder and get lost. I am also going to buy the meditation for children. They are just natural at it if they have someone to guide them. So glad I found this.

"positive-ism as shallow as it gets. "
what i found wrong with this game is what i find wrong with the whole gutless love love, i embrace the god within you on the surface movement that is really a corporate marketing ploy to ensnare all those tripped out and fried into buying something "hip" before the kava kava wears off and they become born again christians. and what is up with the wig on the royal falconer? did deepak kill santa? no problems with install, was even able to play with one arm in a cast.

What our customer's say!

"Biofeeback Peaceful Fun and Knowledge!!", This is a fascinating game. Not your typical kill, kill, kill computer game. It's a game that very effectively shows you how to control involuntary body functions. Through a series of biofeedback challenges, you move on to discover more, and more about this mystical land called the Sun Realm. Some of the biofeedback challenges are very difficult and others are easy. That, however, may be just a personal evaluation. Meaning, easy things for me, might be difficult for someone else and vice a versa.

I have had the game for about 30 days and have completed all the tasks and in doing so have learned a lot about biofeedback and how I can help myself relax in normal everyday stressful situations. Though the game is expensive, it's worth it. I would buy it again! I fully encourage anyone who is interested in biofeedback to buy this game.

"The Passage", Little more than entertainment. Did not seem to accomplish it's purpose. At times confusing to operate.

"Best meditation assistant I've ever owned", I bought this product because I had a dr. accuse me of being anxious and depressed. While I would agree I suffer from white coat anxiety, I didn't agree with the dr. otherwise. I figured, though, that if the dr was right, a biofeedback game would be the perfect help. I had wanted to try Journey, anyway, and this gave me an excellent excuse to buy it. I bought it for myself for Christmas. I have probably spent hundreds of dollars on meditation tapes, meditation books, classes - you name it, I've tried it. I do an excellent job of falling asleep using any of them. Journey to the Wild has been wonderful for me. I am finally experiencing the powerful benefits of meditation without falling asleep. I am given different experiences to entice me to keep trying, keep going - and stay awake. I am sustaining a feeling of happiness and life satisfaction. The only negative would be coming from my husband. He thinks I'm hogging the computer now. I've started timing myself so that I don't stay on too long. Who would have ever thought that a person who has found no computer games she liked previously would have to time herself so that she doesn't become so wrapped up she does nothing else? If you are looking for an adventure game, you won't like this. If you are looking for a meditation assistant, I think you'll love it.

"If you're going to use it, it's great", My mother got me this program when I was suffering from stress-caused lockjaw and tension problems with my back, as well as headaches. I found installation to not be a problem, and once I got the "magic rings" in the right spot, I haven't had any more probelms with them. I found that it works well, and I feel that it really manages to show me how tense I am, and helps me to feel my energy a lot more, and it has attuned me to the subtlety of my own energy. I am a little frustrated because there is not a whole lot of guidance concerning what you need to do next in the game. That was very frustrating for me. The game kept telling me to get a mentor, but I could not figure out how the heck I was supposed to do that. I started the game over, and I got him the second time. I found the scenery to be beautiful, and the music soothing, though a little repetative after a long time. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to explore biofeedback as an option for stress relief. But I would also warn you to follow the sequence of the program, or go to the chapter by chapter part, because otherwise you can lose your place and then it is very difficult to find it again.

"Loving it!", I found this game at Whole Foods, of all places. I'd heard about these sorts of games but didn't know they were available mainstream. Found it just in time for Christmas!

I'd read the other reviews so I did have some concerns. I'm running Windows Vista, but the install process went as smooth as could be, and quick.

I've had absolutely no problem with signal transmission through the rings. Minor repositioning here and there, and I like to check the "system" option on the menu to make sure it's optimal.

I've only been playing 3 days now, but I'm noticing how much easier some of the exercises are getting; however some are easier or harder depending on the day, which makes sense.

This game is great for me. I know the benefits of meditation, but I tend not to do them without someone leading me through; my impatience and busyness take over. This gives me motivation through the game aspect to keep me going on my own, as well as the visual feedback that helps me know I really am affecting myself. I am loving the Chakra visualizations!

At this point the only thing more I could wish for is a few more options on the start menu, such as a volume adjustment. Navigating around through the start area can be a little confusing at first, the map isn't ideal, but there are links to home-made ones in the forum as well.

Enough gush, I'm going back to my game!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"A Biofeedback World", OK, let us admit that the world of Wild Divine is a bit syrupy. Flowers and gentle animals and lots of soft music. Stipulated.

But what a world. The biofeedback sensors on three of your fingers allow you to change events of this world with states of your body. If you can relax enough, these doors will open. If you can rouse yourself, this elevator will go up. A dolphin will leap from a pool and knock a ball into the air. And in some cases, you must find a balance: one room requires that you raise and lower and raise again your arousal to move a ball through a maze.

When you have played the game and its more elegant sequel, Wisdom Quest, you will know several things from your own experience: that your inner states of arousal and ease can be measured and changed, and that a reasonably-priced game will let you begin the process.

The people I have shown the game often go out and buy their own copies.

"Buggy software", If you are looking for stress relief, best thing to do is keep on walking.
Installation is a nightmare. You can't tell if it is installing or not. Only thing you can do is wait !5 to 20 minutes, and if nothing happens, start cd again. Once installed, a lot of white screens, and choppy sound
"Magic rings" slip off fingers easily (maybe not made for size 13 ring finger)
Also purchased "Wisdom Quest" Once again, sound buggy, Doesn't match up with "Buddha guy's" lip movement. Like watching a bad Kung Fu movie
Pressed "escape" multiple times, and wouldn't stop until it was finished.

The best stress relief was putting it back in the box

Don't waste your time or money

"Wild Divine Biofeedback SW", I gave it to my daughter and she really likes it and uses it often.

"More Helpful Than You Realize", After reading others reviews, I thought I would give my 2 cents worth. I received this product as a Christmas present - something I really wanted. I have been extremely pleased with the product, and would definitely recommend it to the right people. But I have realized that there could probably be more details about the game on their website for people who are blindly purchasing this product.

It was mentioned that the software is not user-friendly, but I have not had any problems with it. I found it rather easy, as a matter of fact.

It was also mentioned that this games takes over your computer screen. That is only true to some extent. Please note that you do not have to "quit" the game in order to go to other applications. If you hit "Ctrl/Alt/Delete" and bring up your task manager, you can then switch to another application, which will in turn minimize the game. However, when you return to the game, I suppose depending on your monitor, it will come back up a small size. I have a widescreen monitor, and the game comes back up in a small window. Actually, I suppose that makes it easier to navigate your desktop if you want to, but I prefer the game to cover my entire screen so as not to be distracted in any way.

As far as directions, the book definitely makes you think. But I did learn early on to read each location I was traveling to before starting gameplay in that area. If it didn't sound like it made sense, I would read it a few times before beginning gameplay.

As far as the difficulty/simplicity of the game, I would say that it is definitely an easy game for those who have mastered their breathing techniques and such. I feel that I am good at meditation and being quiet, but I have to say that this is still a good tool for me. I have anxieties, and I find that as I'm doing some of the breathing exercises, depending on which ones, my anxieties tend to kick in a little bit. This is helpful for me to learn to control these anxiety attacks and heart rate increases. Very frustrating when it happens during gameplay, but nonetheless a helpful experience for me. When trying to lower my heart rate, I sink when my heart jumps and the "glow" goes ALL the way to the right. Lol!

Again - this is not for everyone. I'm also not sure why people are buying it simply for biofeedback. I understood upon reading/learning about this game that the biofeedback equipment is simply a tool for the game to use - not for my own personal use, if that make sense.

I also find that it's just a beautiful game that gives you something really nice to focus on in your quiet times. And some of the music is incredible. I have found new music to add to my own personal library as a result.

"For beginners", I like this product but think it's best for people starting out with meditation or calming techniques. I thought I was a begiinner to these things but I do have a little experience and the biofeedback exercises were too easy for me. I got through the whole game in about 4 hours. Other than the difficulty level it's beautifully illustrated, easy to install, everything works well and I really enjoyed the soundtrack. The setup of the exercises within the game is very imaginative and intuitive. Overall I think it's very well done, I just didn't learn anything relaxation-wise.
