"Piece of Garbage"
I got this PSP Protective Filter scratched!!!
When I am playing I can clearly see 8 huge scratch on the filter.
On top of that, the PSP Protective Filter does not cover the entire screen!
So, if you feel brave and lucky try it, otherwise you should look for something better.

In conclusion, I will never buy anything else made from this HORI company.

"The secret of applying this filter"
Many people have problem applying the filter. If you just peel off and apply the sticker directly, you will face the following 3 major problem:

1. Dust particles
2. air bubbles (or known as air pockets, caused by air or dust)
3. Sticker orientation accuracy

To solve the above problems, here is the secret and the correct steps, not limited to this PSP filter, in fact, this secret applied to all stickers application.

Do the following steps, and you will be amazed with the result.
Ingredients:
a. The screen protector filter
b. Bowl
c. hand soap, body shampoo (lotion, etc.. anything alcaline based will do)
d. water
e. plastic paper credit card sized or smaller which act as your lifter. Optional, use the front/back plastic cover for the sticker will do as well.
f. tissue paper

Step

1. Wipe the PSP screen clean
2. Fill the bowl with one or two teaspoon amount of hand soap and dilute it with half bowl of water.
3. scoop out the bubbles in the bowl as many as possible.
4. Remove both front and back side of the filter. (remember the up-side)
5. Soak the filter into the bowl and take it out with your plastic paper. (try not to use finger)
6. Apply the filter gently (while it is still little wet)

7. Adjust the filter to the correct position desired.
8. Push the liquid out with a credit card from middle to outside.
9. Wipe any water that squeezed out from the corner of the sticker as soon as soon you see it.
10. If you see dust particle (a small air pocket with a little dust dot in the middle) inside the sticker, lift it up with a plaster paper, remove the dust, and close it back.

11. repeat step 7 to 10 until it is completely dry and up to your desire.

If application is not as your desired, remove the sticker, soak it back to the same bowl, clean the sticker to make sure no dust particles with the same way you lean your contact lens, and reapply. (No, you don't have to throw your filter!)

Finally you got yourself a perfect application of filter and air bubble-less.

This is the same technique as applying tinted film/stickers on glass windows, car windows and wind screen by the car assessories professionals. The only difference is they spray soap water on the filter instead of using a bowl (coz PSP filter is so small compared with filter for tinted glass application)

Try it, you will be amazed by the result instead of apply directly without soap water.

"Very Good"
This product works well if applied right. Follow the instructions; all instructions, for best results. I had no air bubbles, protects really good, easy to clean. Only thing I have a PSP thin and the filter dosent cover the entire screen, there is a little left over on the edges, not very noticeable though. Only thing I dislike, it only comes with one filter.

"Absolute trash"
I don't know how this item got so many good reviews. I own a pink import model PSP, the original 'fat' version. And yet people who own the thin one are also saying that this product didn't work at all for them. I'm wondering who it DID work for. The filter was too small for the screen, and completely covered it in air bubbles.

One of the reviewers here mentioned that air bubbles are from you putting the wrong sheet on it -- it's not. I used the correct filter, the one between the two sheets, and it was covered in dust particles and little hairs instantly, pretty much everything that is floating in the air. Then when I laid it down, it was full of air bubbles no matter how many times I cleaned it or reapplied it.

Don't buy this. Get a case instead, and buy yourself some Displex scratch remover to keep the screen looking brand new. This kind of thing does nothing.

"Works fine"
The size is fine for the PSP slim. There's maybe 1/64" border that it doesn't protect, which allows air bubbles to be worked out. It's just like applying any appliqué to glass, it takes patience and a couple of tries to get it perfect. The only complaints are that it does little to nothing to reduce glare, and it's not rigid like I expected, so sharp pokes can still damage the screen.

What our customer's say!

"psp screen protector", good quality for the price, although they could have made it slightly bigger for the psp slim. make sure when applying that you get it dead center by not starting exactly from the edge as you will notice a gap on the other side if you do. in other words, as you line it up using either the left or right side edge of the screen, give yourself about a millimeter from the edge and you should be dead center with another millimeter gap on the other side.

"Take your time!!!", I was really excited when I got the filter. I rip off the max for the filter and slap the filter on the psp screen. I was disappoint. There was massive amount of air bubble on the screen. Then I remember people talking about the credit card trick to which you take the card and slowly scrape the air bubble out. That did not work... I went on youtube and found out that you have to slow place the filter down while slowly scraping the filter at the time. Learn from my mistake.
1. Clean the psp as clean as you can.
2. Have a credit card or any type of card on hand.
3. READ I repeat READ which mask to take off. For some reason this will make less air bubble.
4. slowly and easily match the corner of the filter to the psp screen and lay it down while using the card to scrape out any air bubble.
5. Take off the top layer of the filter's mask.
6. Enjoy your psp. XD

"Gr8 Stuff", The protective filter fitted like a glove, it gives a draker depth to the PSP screen which is really good.

Just get it!!

"Only one filter!!!", I thought the pack would include 5 filters or at least 2. Only one with this price!

"You get but one chance to put it on correctly...", This is an excellent product when applied correctly. My complaint is that you only get one filter. For $6.00 you'd think there would be at least two in the package...it can't cost more than a few pennies to manufacture one of these. I did get mine applied correctly the first try...well almost.

I used the soapy water solution that one of the other reviewers suggested. This helped a lot and made it easy to position it correctly on the screen. Once all the liquid was pushed out from under the protector film, I could barely tell the film was there. It fit the screen of my brand new PSP slim very well. The problem is that there was a small bubble on the edge that really bothered me (I'm a perfectionist). When I lifted up the edge of the film to remove the speck of dust causing the bubble...it all when to hell!

Once you expose the sticky surface, EVERYTHING sticks to it. Every single speck of dust that sticks to it causes a tiny bubble. As I pulled it up to fix the tiny bubble, it caused two more...as I lifted up to fix those bubbles, it got worse. If only I had a second try of it, I know I could do it...but I don't feel like spending another $6.00 for it.

One other very important note. The volume buttons on my new PSP stopped working about two hours later. I may have gotten some of the moisture inside of the unit. Either that or the unit was already defective...I don't know. Luckily, Amazon sent me a replacement PSP right away (thank you, Amazon!).

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Usefull", Nice filter, it protects your psp screen from scratches, dust, etc. I recomend it for everyone who has a psp.

"Air bubbles and way too small for the screen", I could not get rid of even most of the air bubbles and the screen protector itself is just too small for a proper fit to the screen anyway. I also purchased the JavoEdge JavoScreen PSP screen protector and was far happier with it. They make one for the both PSPs (original and slim) it fits the screen better and comes with an applicator to get out ALL the air bubbles. See my review on it if you like. I recommend the JavoEdge screen protector over the Hori.

"Overpriced and Does Not Fit Slim PSP-2000", I do not know if the screen size is the same for the PSP original and the PSP-2000 because I only have the slim. If they are the same size, then this HORI product does not fit either. There is going to be a wide gap between the screen edges with this protector with the slim.

The supplied cloth is junk. It is not microfibre and has so much lint and cloth particles on it you are better off using a t-shirt.

It is made of the static high quality screen material, and what it does cover it covers well, however. There are no air bubbles when applied correctly. It is VERY easy to mess this up when applying though, so be prepared to make a few expensive mistakes.

I know HORI also makes a PSP-2000 version of this screen, but this is not it. Maybe that fits better.

"HORI psp filter", This filter is awesome. Easy to apply and crystal clear, you forget there is a filter on your psp. Much better than fellowes "universal" screens that create distorted rainbows.

"Great Protective Screen for PSP", Screen protector works well with PSP 2000. Easy to apply and removable if you need to re-apply.
