"ADESSO CYBER TABLET 6400", The Adesso cyber 6400 graphics tablet is an excellent deal for the price. Installaton was easy and simple. The mouse is functional, nothing outstanding, but it was an extra I didn't need anyway. I had a Wacom tablet prior to this and I see no appreciable difference between the two, except for the Adesso being a whole lot less money! A Good buy!


"Good pad. Good deal.", This tablet is pretty good (my first one). I suppose you have to fiddle with it to get it perfectly smooth and whatnot. The mouse it neat, but be aware that you have to use it on the pad. The batteries for the pen and the mouse just died after working for several months. Not bad. I think it's a good pad for a good deal.

"Waste of time...don't bother!", I was so excited when I saw this tablet and it was reasonably priced. But when I received it I had major problems trying to install it. This isn't even worth the 1 star minimum that I was required to give it! If your a Mac person this will be the biggest waste of time for you. The installation software says that it is for both Mac and PC. It absolutely isn't! So I went to the Adesso website to see if there is a different driver that I could download. There was...it didn't work. The only thing I could get this tablet to do was open files that the cursor was on before I plugged it in! It wouldn't move the cursor at all. Seriously, don't waste your money on this piece of junk...invest the money and just buy a Wacom. At least they are dependable and worth the investment.

"Frustrating", This tablet worked marginally well for the first couple months, though sometimes it would just stop working and I would have to unplug it and plug it back in, not a big deal.
Now it will only work in 30 second spurts and then take 5 minutes before it will start working again for another 30 seconds.
If you plan to use this tablet for anything beyond signing your name, save your money for one that works.


"Adesso Steps Up!", I bought this tablet for a specific job without reading the reviews here first. I'm on a Mac, and at first couldn't get the tablet to be recognized, and all the software that comes with it is for Windows, so I went to the site and downloaded the available driver. Everything almost worked, except that it would take a full 3-4 minutes or more for Photoshop to process even the simplest of lines drawn with the pen, but not with either the tablet mouse or my trackball. I wrote an email to customer service, and not expecting much, requested an RMA to return the tablet.

A representative emailed me today with a brand new updated driver that hasn't made their site yet, and now the tablet works perfectly! I've even cancelled the RMA!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Pretty good so far...", This is the first tablet I've ever tried, so I can't compare it to the big guys like Wacom, but so far it works great for what I'm doing. Installation was as it should be with any USB device, and I didn't have any hiccups. It functions perfectly in Paint Shop Pro, and so-so in Xara X (haven't gotten it to recognize pressure sensitivity, but I'm not sure if it's the tablet or the app).

"Not bad. I'm enjoying what I do with it.", I am not a professional and I bought this device so I could draw with out using the mouse. I can draw a lot better using this device then I can by clicking and holding a mouse button down simply because the shape feels like a pen.

The wireless pen can be extremely sensitive and I don't even bother with the wireless mouse that came with it. The pen works great in adobe photoshop but I have not worked at getting the pressure sensitivity to work. Oh well. Not a great mouse device, makes drawing easier.

"Junk", After reading the reviews, I realized there were varied results from those who had purchased the Adesso Cyber-tablet 6400. Since my daughter was going to use the pen and tablet in MS Paint, I thought it should work fine. Was I wrong! The wireless mouse was irratic and the the pen worked about 50% of the time. When the pen did work, it responded well after her mation started. Our computer is an average P-III Dell with plenty of memory. For the price, I expeced more.

Adesso, find a another line of work!

"this is a no no", What ever you do dont buy this thing. It worked really well for the first few months, then it started to screw up. After that it messed up all of my programs on my computer and whenever my dad tried to fix it the tablet said, "KERNEL ERROR" most of you know what a kernel is,and for those who dont it means like(computer terms) the internal program.
WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT BUY THIS THING.
It messed up my whole computer(it was new too!), and it could mess up yours too.

"Not too bad...", When I first got it, the tablet worked fine. It worked for a few months and then it started screwing up... I tried uninstalling it and installing it again, but still the problem wasn't solved. Couldn't exactly find out what was wrong with it. So I haven't used it since. I recommend skipping this and buying a Wacom Graphire tablet. It's a lot more money, but it's worth it.
