"300 Discs used Zero Issues", I have been using these exact discs inclusively for two years now in which time I have made about 240 DVD video backups and about 60 data/archival related backups for Mac OS and Windows Xp SP2, they burn reliably at 16x and higher every time. Have successfully burned these discs at up to 26x in my Pioneer DVR-112D in both XP and OSX (highly recommend this drive for use with these discs) Zero coasters out of 3 spindles and still going strong. Excellent printing quality when used with HP C5280 with slot loading disc tray. Highly recommend to anyone looking to make high quality, durable video backups.



"80% failure rate", These are the worst DVD's ever purchased. I bought 2 50 packs and the first had 80% failure rate, I returned the other package. I called Memorex and they replaced the defective ones with Imation brand which worked perfectly, but it was a hassle & time to get them replaced. I'll never buy Memorex branded DVD's again.

"Poor", The top half of this spool were terrible. I ended up throwing every one of them away. It kept reading "bad media."

"No coasters and they print great!", After burning about 50 DVD's, I have no coasters. The surface prints just beautifully. I use a Epson R-320 printer and the results of this printer and the Memorex DVD's are great.

I ordered this twice. Once I was sent the hub printable version and the other has a narrow strip at the hub that you can print with a gap where the stacking ring is. At first, I was disappointed, but after using both I find them both to be very useful.

The only negative is that Amazon should specify which printable type you are going to get rather than leaving it up to chance.

"This Product does not work with my both my memorex drive waste of money and since I cant return dvds im screwed", I just got these dvd's today and none of them work I have 2 memorex dvd drive witl the firmwere up to date a 2.4 and 16X and the 2.4 burn error and the 16x burns, but the disk never reads I have tryed all speed be got no results I already wasted 5 out of 100 dvdr and I know none of them will work.

"what a deal", what a great deal these are 1 fifth the cost of my local chains i will be back

"excellent", i love the memorex printable media coz i don't have to put a label on top of the disc and i use my capable printer to print on top of the white coated surface.

"Why Pay More!?", This DVD burning isn't as cut and dried as some would like you to believe. However, just because you get a bad burn doesn't mean it is the discs. There is a whole bunch of stuff going on in your computer that can affect the burn.

I have a Dell 1.2 ghz, with a Lite-On 8x drive, running Nero 6 OEM. Pretty generic, but these Memorex 8x and now 16x discs burn just fine. In fact, I have burnt about 600-800 of these discs and have had very few fall-outs. Not enough to justify buying the "better" quality discs.

Now for the caveat: I did have one spate of problems, caused by a not so well behaved antivirus program. I tossed out the antivirus program and went over to Avast!(it's free, check with Microsoft). Problem solved even though I run Winamp and a logging environmental sampling program while burning discs.

We burn hundreds of discs for a hospital lecture series. They are being played on all sorts of equipment, including some pretty banged up junk. So far I have not received one complaint about the discs only suggestions about the content.

Before you spend big bucks on some "better" disc, pop up your task manager in XP and see if there is some runaway task that needs some discipline. Also, if you must run "better" discs then do a surface test in Nero. I bet the "better" disc will look very close to failure if the Memorex failed.


"No Problems Here", I myself have been using memorex discs for a while now, and have never had any negative experiences with them. I highly reccomend them.
