"Xtreme TechB Rebates Are a Scam! Buyer BEWARE!!", I bought an Xtreme Tech B CD Case from Amazon because they were offering a $15 rebate if purchased from Amazon. My online rebate status was "Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing" for several months. I called customer service and they told me that the check was being processed. The rebate check never came. Now the rebate cannot be tracked online anymore, and customer service now tells me that the tracking number is not valide on their system. I MUST WARN AGAINST BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY.

As for the product itself, I must agree with some of the other buyers. I don't mind the strong plastic smell, but the zipper is really cheap. Half the time it gets stuck even when pulled carefully.

"Only as good as its weak zipper", The body of this case is sturdy, all right, but the nylon zipper isn't up to the challenge. It's easy to stress the zipper because when you open this case it won't lie flat unless you push the zipper tab impossibly far into the spine with the tips of your fingers. But this isn't even how my zipper failed, because it failed from a closed position. Once the zipper splits, it absolutely fails to self-heal -- no matter how carefully you re-mate it, it will split again in an instant. Now I have about 100 CDs that I have no secure home for until I buy a replacement case.

"14 dollars off a 21 dollar case? too good to be true? ", I sent in the UPC's and documentation then they claimed they were invalid...only after threatening did I receive one check - but not the other (i bought two). Google it...a lot of other people have had this problem. Also check the BBB for their area - several complaints have been filed.

"BUYER BEWARE! XTREME DOES NOT HONOR REBATE!", Bought this product back in December because there was suppose to be a rebate. I have never received a rebate! Dishonest company. If you are buying the product because of the rebate, dont count on getting it.

I was wondering what kind of action we could do to stop this compay to cheat on customers.

"Rebate issues", Like previous reviewers I also bought the 320 CD case within the specified timeline (I bought mine on Dec. 13th). I submitted my rebate form with the original and only UPS code that came with the case on the date I received it (Dec 22). I received an e-mail today stating the UPC code was invalid. What a bunch of crap. I'm going to keep fighting for my rebate. I think this is the way they planned it so people will actually buy their garbage products. I've learned my lesson. I will never buy another TechB product.

"FRAUD -- Don't count on a rebate", Like a previous reviewer, I purchased this item with a rebate attached. Now I find my rebates have been denied because of an "incorrect UPC code". There is only one UPC code on the item; how can I have sent them the wrong one? Although I plan on continuing to fight this, I wholeheartedly recommend you reconsider purchasing this item. The real kicker is their line on the rebate form "Warning: Fraudulent submission could result in federal prosecution under mail fraud statutes." I wonder if I can get them prosecuted.

"Piece of Junk",
The product is flimsy and the zipper is terrible. You would be happy with any other brand. The fabric that lines the outside of the case is fraying and the stitching is coming apart. I've only used it a couple of months. Definitely not worth it. Also, don't fall for the rebate trick if they offer it, you will not get your money back.

"Fine Product - BEWARE REBATE", I ordered one of these cases back in November because it seemed like a fantastic deal after the rebate. The case itself is fine, and pretty good for the price. Outter construction is solid, the inner leaves are a bit thin. I sent in my rebate form as per the instructions, and about 8 weeks later I received a postcard from Tech B telling me that I had purchased the item at an invalid date and was ineligble for the rebate. As this was clearly not true (rebate goes from 8/1 - 12/31 and I purchased in November) I called Tech B who once again told me that I had an invalid purchase date. After arguing on the phone and reading them the text of their offer, they told me I should expect to get a check in about 12 weeks...we'll see if that actually happens. Likely they just figure that people won't go through the hassle of resubmitting their documentation. So if you order the product, don't count on ever getting your 15 dollars back.
