"wonderful headphones"
They work perfectly and considering some that i've bought in the past, these actually fit all the way around my ears rather than feeling like they are crushing them against the side of my head.

"sony headphones"
item arrived as described in great condition. very happy with this product. sound quality is great.

"Pretty good but not without its faults"
I like many of you were looking for an affordable around the ear headphones for music, gaming, and movies. After all my searching i chose these mainly due to price constraints.
Pros:
1.Cheap
2.nice sound
3.nice bass (just have to tweak the equalizer settings)
4.light weight

Cons:
1.it feels kinda flimsy (im a very careful person but im afraid i might break these)
2.the ear phones do get rather warm after a while(1-2 hrs)
3.it creaks upon movement due to the cheap plastic

Overall they are not bad heaphones they deliver really nice sound and bass, they are comfortable until they start to get hot. For the price that i paid ($25) they are okay but if you are looking for a definitive headphone (like i was for gaming)i suggest you look else where. also the cord is 10ft long which for me wasnt a problem (using it only for home use). the ear muffs dont really block out sound but i knew i wasnt noise cancelling phones. i recommend getting other headphones

"Pretty disappointed"
This was to replace a very light weight headphone with small ear cups. Upon arrival, I tried them out and used them for about an hour. OUCH!! They began hurting my outer ears and after said hour, I felt like ripping them off. As far as the audio control for music, or movie listening, I couldn't tell any difference. I am very disappointed in these headphones but feel stuck with them as they aren't defective, just uncomfortble and bulky to wear. I hate to throw money away, so guess I'll keep them till they croak.

What our customer's say!

"Tangled wires are the only set back.", Usually when you think of versatility and flexibility for headphones you think of free movement. I'm not talking about wireless personal headphones, Long wires is what I'm hinting at. Aside from the nimble, frail, and long rubbery wires the Sony MDR-XD200 is a "perfect fit". I listen to alot of hard metal and I must say the TREBLE on these puppies works well with Cymbal work and Solos.

Aside from blaring metal on these Sony phones I use them for PC gaming and for my PSP. The last real title for the PSP that put the MDR-XD200 to the test was Manhunt 2. The game required a darkened enviroment and headphones to fully experience it. I can say aside from the PSP's volume limitations these headphones proved well through peril. Again long wires don't work well for headphones especially if you plan to game with a portable device. It kept getting tangled while I had the MDR-XD200 attached to my PSP. I must agree with some other user complaints that the MUSIC to MOVIE switch is barely distinguishable. I can and have tested this with Anime videos on my PSP. The two settings (MUSIC/VIDEO) are nothing to write home about yet welcome to set the MDR-XD200 from the rest.

"Expected much better...", Well.. I saw someone having these, and I fell in love with the design and etc...

I ordered them, and found that they are uncomfortable to wear, your heads needs be like a square to be able to put them on properly, and when you put them on your head looks like a square... Also... when you listen to music/watching videos, the sound is good but when you stop there is like some sound waves that you hear from the headphones, but the music is off... and that's really annoying... maybe I got a broken pair or something...

BY THE WAY: I received my package in a box, inside a box was special plastic box where the headphones were in, and on the back it was half peeled off.. but everything was in its place... so I got my headphones they were half open....

I gave it 2 starts for the design, I love the design.. but Im having problems with my headphones....

I hope I can return these...

"Great sound!", I'm not an audiophile, but I find the MDR-XD200 to be a great set of headphones for the price. I also have a set of Etymotic Research 6i ear buds, which also sound amazing, and the MDR-XD200 headphones sound just as good. I mainly listen to music with them.

"My son likes it!", We bought the headphones for our 6 years old son. He loves them. They are light, the sound is good. It's good product for this money.

"OK For The Price", These headphones are probably the least I would pay for home stereo use. The reproduce the full frequency range, but naturally they don't have the imaging that higher priced Sony's do. My only real complaint other than that is the bass response isn't as full as you might expect. That and the fact that at least the pair I have physically squeak when I wear them on my head. Your mileage may vary:-)

See my review of Behringer headphones for a lower price and better sound.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Jammin", These are some very good headphones for the price. Good sound, good quality. I brought these specifically for my psp because the earbubs just wear my ears out after about 35 minutes. I didnt wanna spend alot of money because at amazon you dont have to. Theres alot of quality items available for the low. I like these headphones because thy're good enuff to use everyday but I dont have to worry about breaking them. If so just buy another pair no big deal. There not the type that "hugs" your ears but they're considerabley snug. You can't lay down on your pillow on either side because they're a lil rigid. All in all I reccommend these to anyone who want something better than decent, cheap and of good quality.

"Decent sound for a quiet location", I was looking specifically for over-head headphones to help dampen the noise in the environment I work. Unfortunately, this don't do much at all to dampen outside noise. They have decent sound, but it can only be appreciated in a quiet environment.

"Bad fit on my head", Sound quality is good, but I find the fit on my oval-shaped head is uncomfortable. The span of the headband seems designed for the more brachycephalic. If you are an egghead, or a "pointy-headed intellectual" (as Joe McCarthy used to rave), these might not fit so well.

"They're headphones...and they work.", Thought i had a big head till i put these on and looked in the mirror. These things are enormous! But i like them, not heavy at all and comfortable. So far the sound is good. I can get really clear low bass tones. The 10' cord is a big plus but I think the "sound mode" function is worthless. Didn't notice any kind of difference between movie and music. Thats ok cause i didn't buy it for that purpose anyhow. They're good headphones at a great price and im pleased.

"You get what you pay for", I was looking for comfortable inexpensive headphones and these fit the bill perfectly. While I am sure it will get many bad reviews from Audiophiles out there that any under $500.00 set of headphones would. For me these did the thing for those rare times I needed to keep the audio from my computer from grating those others in my house that didn't want to share what I was listening to. I have worn them for hours and after time forgot they were there, very comfortable and good sound reproduction while at the same time blocking out the jet engine that is the noise my computer makes. When my Katz have chewed through to many breaks in the cord to repair I will look to replace these headphones with the same model.
