"Not for Labelflash drives", There is nothing in particular that I can find wrong with this media. In fact, standalone, the media if great. My problem is being misled by my Amazon.com search. I input a search for labelflash and this media came up; leading me to believe that it worked with a labelflash drive. No. It ONLY works on lightscribe drives. I am only writing this review so that 1) Amazon can change their tagging so others won't be misled and 2) If Amazon does not change their tagging, others will not fall into the same trap that I did.

"Works with my drive.", Works great with my Samsung drives. Not all disks seem to work with all drives.

"Good quality Light scribe at affordable rates", Very good quality at a unmatched price. Strongly recommends to anybody who wants to experiment with their lightscribe . Easy to download logos from website and put it on to CD directly .no paperwork needed.

No problems with use. All disks came out fine. Did not have to toss any away. We love the lightscribe where you can put pictures and such. It burns great! Would recommend this product.

"Great CD!", These work great - I haven't had any problems. Great sound quality, they work perfectly with lightscribe, too. No coasters yet!

"Great Item", I don't know where I've been, but this item is great... Will try other products from manufacturer..

"I'm changing my rating to 5 stars", At first, I was unsuccessful in my attempts to burn CDs. I burned one beautifully and and was also able to get a label on the flip side. I wasted 5 disks when I couldn't get more to burn. I thought maybe it was Vista causing the problem so I tried on a second computer. It did recognize that the disk was in the drive but it just gave me error messages and wouldn't burn. Then I tried burning it using Nero instead of the pre-installed Microsoft software. I was able to burn one after another. They were great once I used the right program.

"Wow, these are a waste!", I bought two of the 30 packs of Verbatim Lightscribe CDRs from Best Buy. I would be very optimistic in saying that 1 out of 3 actually worked. Oh, the music burns on to them no problem, but when I flip them over to do the lightscribe label, it tells me the media is not recognized as lightscribe. This happens no matter what program I use! And what sucks even worse is that with the coating on the cd, it's almost impossible to write on, so you end up with an un-labeled cd anyways.

Oh well, back to the HP discs :)

"Verbatim CD's for Lightscribe", This item works fairly well-seems like the print doesn't show up as good as it should but it could be I haven't perfected how to use the lightscribe program well enough yet. The music downloaded on them sounds great.

"Worst Media Ever -- Made by CMC Magnetics!", These Verbatim discs are hands down the very WORST blank media I've EVER encountered! They're made by CMC Magnetics -- well known as the worst media manufacturer in the world. But not only are they CMC Magnetics, they're the worst of the worst of CMC Magnetics!

The latest KProbe *hangs* when faced with these, forcing a hard reset. The latest Nero Burning ROM *hangs* when faced with these, forcing a hard reset. The program continues, non-stop, to display "waiting for media" when I use these, and an attempt to abort hangs Windows XP SP2 the same way it hangs Kprobe.

Curiously, the media IDs on these are exactly the same as that on Philips LightScribe CD-R media (they're made by CMC Magnetics as well). However, at least the Philips are recognized by all my software and hardware, quite unlike the Verbatims. That's why I say that these Verbatim are the worst of the worst from CMC Magnetics. (The Philips are no prize, either, but they perform minimally well).

The *ONLY* thing that worked with these media are the LightScribe labeling. But what's the point of labeling discs you can't even RECOGNIZE, let alone burn?

I had the exact same problems with these media in both my Lite-On LH-201AH burner and my NEC ND-2510A burner (the latter is universally recognized as and ideal burner for even low-quality media).

Note that Verbatim had a great reputation when they sold media manufactured by Taiyo Yuden. But, stupidly, they chose to go ultra-cheap and turned to the dreaded CMC Magnetics Corp. Thus, they lost all credibility!
