"It just doesn't work properly"
Contrary to other reviewers, I found this mounting unit to be totally unsatisfactory, because it DOES slide all over the dashboard (I did mount it properly), and the placement of the GPS causes a nightime relection on the windshield, which is annoying.

I sent it back after trying every way to make it work without sliding all around. The only way I could figure would have been to duct tape the base to the dash!

"Great Accessory"
I've had my C340 now for almost 2 years and love it. The one problem is the suction cup that comes with it doesn't stay on the glass very well anymore. The dashboard mount is really great! I've used it in my car and minivan and it doesn't slide around at all, easy to just set down right where you want it and it stays. I wish this had come with the GPS in place of the suction cup.

"Fabulous Friction Base"
We have a Garmin StreetPilot c330. Love the GPS unit; Hated the suction cup window mount. I used my original and 2 replacement suction mounts. Finally got to have the Friction Base. What a relief!!! Have had absolutely NO problem with it flying around in any of our 4 vehicles. Our GMC pickup has a very steep dash board and sometimes it will creep its way back a bit, and need to be reset minorly, but that's WAY better then having it fly off the windshield and land in my lap or bounce off the console as I'm driving down the road, which happened more than once. We really like this base a lot! It stays put very well. I would never, ever go back to the suction base. This is a great solution!

This product is very good, easy to use. It does tend to slip around on the plastic dachboard, but not enough to worry about.

I have received this item in new condition.
I am using this for Garmin C320 & its more convenient than Windsheild Suction mount.
