"Problem with G5 & Leopard", I'd like to add that the X800 XT for Mac worked wonderfully (once I received a working replacement from ATI) with my G5-2.0 using Tiger, but now upon upgrading to Leopard the fans are a little louder (noticeable but not terrible), and I periodically get a flash of green or pink on my entire 30" Cinema Display screen when trashing a file or closing a window or application. This may only be a problem with the combination of G5-Leopard-30" Apple Cinema Display.

"Simply the best.", There are a couple of other 256MB graphics cards for the Power Mac G5. This is the best by far. It blows away the competition in every category. There are many sites you can find from google that show the bench test comparisons. These are very hard to find, but worth the extra cost if you ask me. If you are running a 30 inch Cinema LCD you will notice the difference in lag time between this card and the other 256MB cards that are out there. Again, don't take my word for it. Go see the comparison tests on the internet. Nothing even comes close to the performance of this card. It is, quite simply, the best graphics card money can buy for your Power Mac G5 with AGP Pro 8X graphics. This is your bad boy right here.

"Works great with Aperture", I bought this video card to speed up Aperture on my G5 tower, and it has more than doubled the speed of the app. A photo with lots of adjustments, particularly spot healing, still bogs down everything, though. I took off one stare for the fan noise. It's not overly bad or obtrusive, but it can be heard constantly when the G5's fans are at their lowest setting.

"Great!", I upgraded to this video card in my 2.3GHz G5 Mac to effectively use Aperture. To that end, and for a little boost in overall speed, the card does its job.

It's easy to install and takes only one slot. The card is also quiter than I expected.
