"Hey, nice crossbow... real comfy!", Nearly 4 years since this game was released, and it's still so unique and fun. Hubby and I haven't gotten around to buying an Xbox 360 yet, so I was looking for games for our regular old Xbox. I ended up buying Oddworld Stranger's Wrath used in 2006, and it's one of our favorite games. I bought it for myself, but my husband has played it through at least twice. It gets brought out every year to be played again, it seems.

The live ammo fits in with this game so well, and I haven't gotten tired of the Chippunks telling Stranger that he's got something hanging from his nose. My two favorite weapons of choice are laying traps with the Fuzzles, and rapid firing the Stingbees like a machine gun. Sniping with the Wasps is pretty fun, too.

The character of Stranger is so.... Clint Eastwood, I guess you could say. Tough, and doesn't say much.

When it comes time to get an Xbox 360, I have a feeling we'll keep the old Xbox around just so we can play Stranger's Wrath again.

"Kids loved it.", My son age 10, daughter age 6 and son age 4 all liked this game. However, they liked Munch's Oddysey better.

"Not compatible with 360: found out the hard way", I recently purchased a 360, bought some games, including both from xbox and xbox 360's lineup. Strager's Wrath seemed like it would be a good game. Unfortunately, when I popped it in, an error message popped up, saying that this game couldn't be played. I probably should've done some more research, but that's my fault.

"What a fun first person shooter.", I've been playing this game for a few days now and I really enjoy it. You play a bounty hunter who uses varmints to capture, or kill, the local bad element.
You switch between first (shooting) and third person (navigating).
The levels are pretty linear and the voice acting isn't the greatest but I find myself getting into that "Just one more level before bed" mode.
The violence is nothing more than any cartoon so I'd say it's fine for younger children.

"Fun and Weird", If oodworld wasn't odd enough, they went and made a game that is even stranger. It's probably one of the wackiest first person shooter games I've ever played. You're a bounty hunter with a cross-bow; however, your crossbow doesn't shoot arrows, it's more like a mini-catapolt that fires little animals, like bees and squirels and each animal serves a different function.

The only gripe I have for this game is that it's only available for the original X-box and not the 360. OTherwise the game play is good and it's easy to get a hold of and play. The dialog is pretty rich and funny like Munch's odessey.

"Missing something", It is a great game!I would like to point out everything that isn't great:First voices sound the same for outlaws not a huge problem but still i wish they were slightly more different.Sadly the game could use a little more detail in the graphics.Also the game passes by too quick.I beat almost the whole game in one day with every boss alive!Now for some of the good:Story is a great idea,the jokes might not be origianal but still are super funny.Fantastic setting!The enviroment seems to bring in the real west.Creativity,like the other ones this one has an enourmus amount of creatures and outlaws.Very good voices,I read the credits and it's almost Lorne Lanning who does all the voices.Each voice has a western theme to it.Now for the last thing:Something is missing in this game but i just can't seem to find it.Bottom-Line:Buyit,Buyit,Buyit,BUY IT!

"doesn't work on XBOX 360", I have been into oddWorld since the PS1. I loved the goofy play and... blah blah blah... everything everyone else says like this is absolutely true. I went out and bought the PS2 purely in anticipation of the new oddWorld games only to be left behind by the XBOX only switch-over (they even ran some demos of how it was going on the PS2 so that completely shocked me!)I was bummed beyond belief.

Here we are years later and I have bent to the prowes of the XBOX 360. I own one now and have no regrets. I felt bad leaving the PlayStation line behind but the majority of the games I like are made for both platforms and I was thinking I was about to be able to get back into the OddWorld adventures! What more could I want. It was surely time to invest and leave behind my very costly PS3 hopes and dreams. I even found a good place (amazon) to buy the 2 XBOX OddWorld titles at a good price. I ordered them up and read on about how there will not be any more games in the oddWorld series, which made me feel sad but glad I went ahead and invested in the XBOX 360. At least I can play all of the games and enjoy them for years to come. But.... then it happened.

A day before the timely shipment from Amazon arrived I bumped into this one review that stated that not all XBOX games run on the XBOX 360. Hmmm? Why should that be? And what about the OddWorld games? To my disapointment, neither of the OddWorld XBOX games are compatible with the XBOX 360.

So I have gone from investing in the PS2 - being left behind, then years later investing in the XBOX 360 - left behind again.

I love OddWorld. Don't get me wrong. But have you ever had a friend you thought was so cool and fun and hilarious and you love to be around that friend and never have a bad time with them when they are around.... but they are completely undependable and never around? That is my sad relationship to OddWorld.

The crazy thing is that on the XBOX 360 web site, you can see they are creating these "patches" that emulate the XBOX on the XBOX 360 so that certain XBOX games will in fact run on the XBOX 360. The OddWorld games were on that list but... now gone. I wish we could start a campaign to get Stranger's Wrath (at least) back on the list.

Let's all try. It is such a good set of games and we should all email them and say "fix the 360 so we can play the OddWorld games!"

"Don't get it!", This game is not as good as the reviews make it sound. The sounds are annoying, the action is boring. Seriously disappointed.
