"Two Amazing Little Black Boxes!" If you want to go wireless on your XBOX 360 than look no further than this product. Easy to hook up and they actually work great. I play online a lot and I have never had any issues with lag or getting bumped from the network. They are set up on the first and second floor's of my house and work like a charm for a lot less $$.
"Great wireless solution" Works perfectly with my 360 and pc. I can't believe you can transfer internet data over RF! So weird but works well with good distances.
"Slow" First of all, Amazon's review options are for rating this "game". I've rated based on how useful this product is over all.
I purchased this wireless bridge as a cheap (and universal) alternative to getting a wireless adaptor for my old xbox that I use as a media player in the bedroom. The wireless works great going from the kitchen were the modem is up to the bedroom but the connection speed renders it near useless. A 400mb DiVX file will stutter because it can't stream it fast enough and the same amount would take about a hour to transfer to the media center's harddrive. I honestly rather take out my 50ft CAT5 cable and use that when I need to transfer - unrolling the cable and connecting it both points and uploading would take less time combine than just uploading via this bridge.
"Best Connection!!!!!!" Just received my unit today. IT IS EXCELLENT!!! I also read some reviews and my playlink was new and completely sealed up on arrival. Right out of the box I made my hookups to my router and to my 360 and in about 5 minutes or less (no kidding); I had a smoooooth connection and was up and running. I paid less than $40.00 including the shipping. The overall speed of playing online is extremely fast and no lags. I honestly cannot say enough good things regarding this product. WITHOUT A DOUBT; BUY IT...Your time and money will not be wasted. Have fun.
"Cheap alternative to OEM adapters" I recently purchased an Xbox 360 Elite and wanted to hook up to Xbox live, but wasn't crazy about the prospect of shelling out a hundred bucks for the Microsoft wireless adapter. This was a great alternative.
You could actually use it anyplace where you would usually run a network cable. Since the send and receive units are paired, it appears to be pretty secure and there's no setup involved.
The biggest gripe I've heard is that, while it works fine for gaming, the connection is too slow for Xbox Live downloads. However, since the May 2007 software update for Xbox allows you to download in the background, while the console is turned off, the speed of downloads really doesn't matter much.

What our customer's say!
"You have to have this!", I have had these two little boxes for about 2 years now and they are hands-down, the best accessory that I have ever purchased! The connection requires about 30-60 seconds of your time (depends on how far you have to walk to plug the other side in) and the speed is fantastic. Occassionally after a power outage I need to unplug the receiving side for about 5 seconds before it will transmit again but that is the ONLY problem I have ever had with the little beauties. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to strech their high-speed connection into different areas.
"Works well but be forewarned....", I used this great product with my PS2 and it served it's purpose, but you should be wary that you may be back on Amazon within a year ordering it again. This is due to the fact it's only good a year, which I SUPPOSE is okay since it has a one year warranty on it.
Also, it's probably obvious, but a good way to see if the Playlink is causing network problems would be to connect it to your computer and see if you can surf at a normal speed without odd hangups or you could try to connect the game system directly to the modem/router.
"Very simple to use. Incredibly slow downloads. Poor durability.", The play link is incredibly easy to use, but it doesn't have much bandwidth. Downloads literally take 20 times as long as a true wired connection. I'm not exagerating, it's extraordinarily slow. Playing on xbox live works great and thats what I used it for most of the time. Navigating the internet and/or downloading anything on any device plugged into it (including the 360) is very very slow.
You can use it to connect anything with a network port to anything else with a network port. It gets better signal than any wireless card I've ever used. I used it for a number of different computers and 2 xbox 360's.
I enjoyed the ease of use, unfortunately I was only able to enjoy it for about 10 months. I purchased it in January 2007 and it broke about a month ago. It's not very reliable. That, and the horrible download speed make me give it a low review. Another strange tid-bit. I bought it for less than $30 shipped a year ago. Whats up with these prices?!?!
"Great Item -- but watch the price", I got this as an alternative to the grossly overpriced Microsoft XBox 360 Wireless Adapter.
This device is, if anything, easier to use. It comes with 2 boxes -- one plugs into your XBox ethernet port, the other plugs into your router. There is no setup. There is nothing to configure on the XBox. As far as the XBox is concerned, this is a regular ethernet linkup and it just starts working.
I hooked it up, did some rounds of COD4 and downloaded a movie and I noticed no difference versus when I had the XBox plugged directly in to my router (but I didn't want my router in my living room, which is why I got this).
You should also be able to use these for any no-setup wireless connection you want. It's the "Xbox Play Link" but there's really nothing about it that makes it specific to the XBox. It will work for anything. (The boxes themselves do not say "Xbox" anywhere on them.)
Word of caution, though: Check the prices.
As of the time of this writing, Amazon is not stocking the device and you can only buy it through 3rd parties. I was lucky and got it through a 3rd party here for a good price, but now I see only one place selling it, and they've marked it up considerably. Shop around before you buy.
Also note that any "wireless bridge adapter" will very likely work, if you are unable to find this particular device. Just make sure the transfer rate of the bridge adapter is in the 1.5 Mbps rater or higher, so you can fully utilize your high speed internet through it.
"Works fine for online play, but downloads are super slow", I bought this item several months ago instead of shelling out $100 for the Microsoft adapter. I play online a lot and have never had a problem with online play. My 360 is upstairs on one end of the house while my router is in the basement on the opposite side of the house. Never had a problem with Gears of War, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, etc. But Xbox Live downloads are extremely slow. Demos that are 750mb - 1gb usually take 3-5 hours to download. I'm also unable to hook up with my computer wirelessly because the connection is too slow. I've actually had some problems getting online since the recent Xbox Live update (Dec. 2007) - not sure if that is because of this adapter or not. I'd give this item 3 stars for performance but gave it 4 stars because of the affordable price. I'm going to buy the Microsoft wireless adapter because it takes up less space, doesn't need an outlet and is faster.

"Logitech Play Link", Great alternative to the Wireless Network Adapter for the Xbox 360. I wasn't about to pay $100+ for wireless internet for my 360 so I bought this on eBay for $20 including shipping. Works great!
"Works awesome!", I've got this play link running through 3 walls and it has a strong connection. This is really ideal for any house that isn't a mansion.
"Excellent product, excellent price", At first, I though it should have any kind of failure or I couldn't be so good for the price, but I was wrong, it's AWESOME, you can connect any playing console with this and get it online without any problem. I love this product!
""The Solution" for PS3 20 GB wifi", For my PS3 20 GB I first had to use an ethernet cord for online play which doesn't bother me at all. I then moved into a new house where my room is below and nowhere close to my lynksys router. This is "The Solution" for those with the same problem.
(Ease of use)-Extremely easy. Plug one into your wireless router and the other into your PS3 via ethernet cables that are provided. (Speed)-Not as fast as I'd like but it gets the job done (Price)- At $25 it was a must buy for wifi bypass. $50-$65 cheaper than the 360 wifi adapter at($88).
It's a good thing Sony allows you to purchase any 3rd party compatible electronic accessory to upgrade your PS3.
"Simple and effective", This is such a great product, it works for all electronic devices that can connect to the internet, be it a laptop, Playstation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and likely a slew of other things. A great alternative to the Xbox 360 Wireless adapter, great connection through walls, and doesnt lag at all.
