"great results", this is what you need combined with a miter saw to get great results doing crown molding. it has the instructions on it, so in case you have a temporary brain lapse, you know what to do. its adjustable for different types of crown. i've done two rooms at my folks house with this and now that i'm on break from med school, i'll probably be enlisted to do more!

"does not make you a king of crown molding, but it helps", Crown molding is confusing, this set up helped though my angles still didn't meet up...but I was so close. I'll blame it on the miter saw.

"Wow! Is this thing expensive!!", Boy, is this thing expensive! A friend gave me his after he completed his remodeling project and I find that it is a nice jig. It makes cutting crown molding easier. I can image that it would really help a novice.

The real advantage to this jig is the ability to re-set it for different molding. But if you are just cutting just one or two different sizes of molding, I suggest that you make a box out of some scrap plywood. It shouldn't take much more than 10-15 minutes if you have a table saw. You'll save $40 and can then take your significant other out for dinner.

As another reviewer suggested, attach this jig to the saw so it doesn't move. I used heavy duty double-stick tape with great results.

"Good but not great!", It's one of a few of the good DIY'ers remedies to cutting crown moulding. I only wish that it would be able to hold the moulding tighter once it is in the device. Perhaps if the bench Dog's 10-010's "fence risers" and "crown stop" had some softer rubber attached to them or were made of softer rubber in general it would hold the moulding much better in place than what it does.

"Worth every penny", Excellent tool. Helps you ascend the learning curve very rapidly. If you are hanging crown yourself, this is a must buy. Costs 10 bucks more than the Rockler version but I think this is a better tool.

"Great Investment !", I consider myself a pretty experienced woodworker, but when it came to cutting and installing crown moulding it was a challenge. I reviewed several home made type of jigs, but they seemed cumbersome and involved. In my internet search I came across this jig on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I was a bit sceptical at first, but after several joints I was sold. The more I used it, the easier it became to visualize and cut the different mitres. I had inside 45's, outside 45's, inside 22.5's and outside 22.5's all handled easily. If not for the poor construction and wall angles in my home, the job would have been completed in no time. This is truly a time saver and well worth the $30 investment.

"Great Idea, Good Product but needs a little work", I recently purchased this item to help with holding crown for cutting. The jig does a great job of setting up and holding the crown in place for cutting. Beware though that the jig needs to be firmly held or clamped to your saw while in use (it just sits on the miter table).

If this jig had a clamp of some type that held it firmly in place it would get 5 stars from me.

"Crown cutting couldn't be easier", I saw the Crown-Cut tool and thought it projected the installation of crown molding to be alot easier than the compound miter saw method. Well it was. The miters fit real nice, I had cut samples and tried them in place and was really impressed. The hardest part was remembering to put the crown in the jig upside down, I recommend this to anyone intalling crown molding.

"Great Tool", This tool has worked great for me. I am a novice woodworker and enjoy doing home improvement projects. I have a 12" sliding compound miter saw that has built in stops for 45 degree crown molding. I dont even bother with the built in stops, as this jig is so much quicker and practical. I do recommend that you secure the jig when making cuts, and use a good saw blade.
