"Beware of these products", I use an older version of Peachtree Complete Accounting (2003)which has developed an error in closing the 2003 year to be able to work in 2004 and 2005. All of the cheques which still show in the payments screens are missing from the account reconciliation screen. Even if you enter new checks they wiil not show on the account rec screen. I called Peachtree, they insisted that it was a data problem so I ran all the integrity checks and the data verification using the -i switch and the repair company to no avail. The guy on the phone did tell me that the info on running these tasks was not in the manual. He was right it was not, it was included in the manuals for older versions though. I think Peachtree deliberately removed these items from the manual so you would have to pay for tech support, and none of them worked anyway. All in all I think Peachtree is giving customers a pretty raw deal on this one. It is a known errata and they refuse to add it to the knowledge base and they insist that you pay for info which rightfully should be part of the manual. I must admit someone had warned me about these data integrity issues with Peachtree a long time ago, but this is my first personal experience with this issue.
