"Could have been better..", I got this game after coming back from holiday, and was expecting the typical Mario game. It kept to the classical Mario plots, but i think the controls need to be slightly changed to really enjoy this game. There were no real instructions, but i got the hang of it. It still had the good old sound affects, but i would recommend it to slightly more experienced players. Still, it's worth the money, and when you get the hang of it, you can really enjoy it!

"Classic Mario Game on the DS", This is the first 3D Super Mario Game that was originally released for the Nintendo 64. The game is now released for the DS. Like other Mario games, it is still so much fun. Considered as one of the finest 3d platform video games made (that led to Super Mario Galaxy), it is a must have for your DS video game collection.

There are four playable characters (Yoshi, Mario, Luigi & Wario), more than two dozen mini-games, wireless multiplayer for four players (using a single cartridge). It may be a difficult game for much younger kids as the shift from 2 dimensional to 3D has added more complexities for movements and controls.

"Super Mario 64 DS is pretty cool.", I really liked this game. It's not horrible, it's pretty good. I would not say its easy for children under 7-9 under. But it's a really fun and medium hard game for people over 10.(At least) I like New Super Mario Bros. better, but this comes pretty close.

If you want or kind of want this game, get it. If you're just buying this as a random choice, don't get it.

"crap", this game is crap i had to get rid of this the controls are sluggish don't buy the ds version if u have an N64 get the original or download it if u have a wii just avoid this at all cost

This game is pretty cool - not my favorite, but it is still pretty good.

I like the 3 dimensional graphics. I think it is the 2nd or 3rd best Mario game in the world.

"OLD GAME GOES NEW AGAIN", I GOT THIS GAME ON CHRISTMAS 2005. THIS GAME HAS 150 STARS INSTEAD OF
THE OLD VERSION WHICH HAD 120 STARS AND THIS TIME INSTEAD OF PLAYING

"AN improvement on the original", I originally bought this game with my Nintendo 64 in (I think) 1996. I think the last time I played with it was 1999. My son is 4 years old and he saw the box in a closet so my wife hooked it up for him. We figured he would run around with Mario and have some fun. Did he ever. the kid was collecting stars and having a blast!

We are moving to Texas this summer and we decided to get him a Nintendo DS for the long car ride. He has had this game for 3 or 4 weeks and just collected star # 99.

The greatest thing about this game is there are more characters. You start out as Yoshi and as you collect stars and keys you can release Mario, Luigi and Wario from the doors Bowzer locked them behind.

Some of the courses and stars within are exactly the same as the original, but there are new ones as well.

This is a great improvement on a classic!!!!

"You have to get this", If you have played it before on the N64, and haven't played in awhile, get this. It is the same story with a twist. You can now choose from four characters.
You start with Yoshi
then you rescue Mario
then Luigi
then Wario
Each character has their own unique abilities and that helps contribute to making this game last. You can now strategize how you will handle each level. Each character (except Yoshi) now picks up one of the old Red Box abilities from SM64.

Mario gets the wings

Luigi can walk through certain walls and doesn't take damage.(Blue Box from SM64)

Wario gets the metal body.(Green Box from SM64)

Plus there are an extra 30 Stars, and the graphics are twice as good.
They should have called it Super Mario 128 DS...
but that doesn't roll off the tongue well.

"Love this Game", I love all things Mario. This was very classic in the way of the old games, but modern.

"Grandson's delight", Mario was a presnt for my Grandson in America, and he is delighted with it. It is good to know that whilst I am in the UK and he is in the USA, I can still send him gifts in the knowledge that they will arrive OK. Thank you.
