"my girls (and their mom) absolutely love it!"
The disc mostly contains songs from the "Princess and the Pauper" movie with a few songs from Barbie's other princess titles (Rapunzel, Nutcracker, and Swan Lake). The songs are very catchy and my girls (and their mom) have been known to belt out a few of the tunes in the car. I gave it to the girls for Valentine's Day, and we have played it daily in the car since. It is a soundtrack you can listen to over and over again. Moms will enjoy it, too.

"Great Songs!"
I'm a big fan of duets and showtunes, and this did not disappoint. Even though it's Barbie, I think the songs are actually pretty decent and I find myself singing along to them. My girls love the CD and act out the different scenes - especially with Princess & the Pauper. I think if your girl likes the Barbie Princess Series, she will love this!

We bought this CD for our 5 year old daughter who is very fond of Barbie movies. The songs and music are as heard in the movies. (I had concidered some Disney princess CD's, but read reviews indicating that many of the songs selected for those CD's were performed by artists that did not perform the piece in the movie itself, with a result that the songs did not sound much like the songs in the movie.) Our daughter loves this CD. To my surprise, I have not minded listening to the CD as the sound of it wafts from her bedroom stereo into the rest of the house, and find many of the songs quite beautiful. In fact, I have to admit to turning it on occassionally myself when in her room tidying up, etc. I would recommend this CD for little girls who, like mine, love the Barbie movies. The music fulfills my little girl's desire for 'big girl' music, but with lyrics which are appropriate for her age and quite positive in nature. I must say that while I was originally hesitant to expose my daughter to Barbie products, and I still retain some concern with respect to the issues of body image..., I do find that the movies and the songs within them project kindness and integrity in the Barbie characters.

"I love it"
As a 24 year old Barbie fan, I loved this soundtrack. I do agree that some of the songs should have had the dialogue from the movies removed.The princess & the pauper is by far my favorite of the movies & I was glad to find this cd.I'm not really into all the classical music.Other than that it's great.I would purchase this for my nieces & god daughters.

"fun to listen to", My daughter loves to sing and dance to all these songs. Must have for any lover of the Barbie Princess movies.

"The Best of the Barbie Soundtrack CDs", With 22 tracks from 4 Barbie movies, this CD is probably the best value of the Barbie soundtracks, as well as having music from (in my opinion) the best Barbie movie so far, Princess and the Pauper. In addition to songs from the movies, there are also very light, child-appropriate pop tracks that while sometimes overly sugary, will stick in your head and grow on you if you're not careful. It also has music from The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, so if you're trying to sneak in some classics to round out your kids' listening experience, this is a good way to do it.

The original movie songs are no masterpieces, but kids and adults alike will enjoy most of them. They are mostly positive, teaching good values, except for "How Can I Refuse," which is sung by a villain but is still catchy and OK for the kids. "If You Love Me for Me," from Princess and the Pauper, is a particular standout for me as an adult on lyrics and melody, and "I'm On My Way" is a personal favorite in the pop-sugar category. If you get only one Barbie movie CD, this is "the" one to have.

"Great CD!!", My girls have watched most of the Barbie movies and really enjoyed them. Now the CD has been a hit in the house among all of us. My 6-y/o has also learned to read the words out of the jacket and sing along!!

"A nice CD for little princesses.", I bought this CD (as well as the Island Princess CD) for my 5 year old daughter. She loves the songs from the Princess and the Pauper, although there's a lot of talking in some of the songs (she doesn't seem to mind). She's not too crazy about the second half of the CD, which are classical songs from the other movies. Overall, it's a nice CD for the car.

"My five-year old loves it", My five-year-old daughter loves the Barbie movies, so this was an easy sell as far as she was concerned. A couple of songs are so pretty and have such well-written lyrics, I find myself singing along, too.

"Great for the 4-7 set....", My 4.5 year old daughter loves all the Barbie movies, and this CD allows her to enjoy the music without having to sit in front of the TV. She loves to sing along and dance to this music. Great idea!

"Kind of disappointed", My daughter loves the Barbie Princess movies and in fact was given a box set of DVDs for her birthday. Naturally, she loves the music from the films, too, but I was disappointed in this compilation. Why? Because my Princess and the Pauper DVD came with a music CD that had seven of these songs, and if you want to get technical, I think the first 11 tracks on THIS CD are from Princess and the Pauper (reprises are not on the CD that came with my DVD). Since I already have half the music already, I really don't feel compelled to spend the money on this collection.

"Barbie Sings!: The Princess Movie Song Collection", It's a very special CD includes the songs from Barbie's first, second, third and fourth movie. Ipe a new CD with the songs from Magic of pegasus, 12 dancing princesses and Island princess.

"Beautifully Done", My daughther loves this DVD. She loves the songs and although some of the Princess and the Pauper songs have some of the dialogue from the movie, we don't mind. Secretly I like this DVD too :)
