"One of the greatest musicals ever made ! ! ! ! !", I was so ecstatic to see this movie! I'm 50 years old and hadn't seen this classic since I was a kid (years after on t.v.) I truly recommend this movie young and old alike, a timeless love story.

"Damn good", An oldie but goodie, Ray Walston at his best years before Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Gwen Verdon when hot was more than cosmetic. Very good transition from stage to film. Excellent story.

"damn yankees", It was excellent. The only problem that I had with it was that it was in wide screen with bars at top and bottom.

"RUINED!", I had seen the movie years ago and it was hugely entertaining. The DVD release, however, is a butchered mess. Only about 4 songs remain, they have edited out entire sequences and plot lines, the film doesn't even make sense anymore....absolutely ridiculous. Whoever is responsible for releasing this garbage should be imprisoned. DY is an American musical treasure, but you could not tell from this abomination.

"Damn Yankees", While musicals were never really my forte, I saw this one at the movies when I was a kid and loved it .... still do. Ray Walston was a HOOT !

"Old school great fun", It was a pleasure to see the talent of Gwen Verdon and Bob Fosse.

"Sound off ???", I waited to long to view the tape and found the sound and picture don't match. Did not return because of the time but am very disapointed in the quality as the music is one of the best parts of the video and it is now uncomfortable to watch (Kinda like a dubbed Japanese movie)

"Damn Yankees", Have enjoyed this movie before in VHS format so we were happy to "upgrade" to DVD

"Still a good one!", This if one of the untypical musicals of the time period as it deals with baseball. The characters are great for their roles....one of my favorites.

"God Bless Those Damn Yankees", If you have any love for GOOD Broadway theatre, you will love this movie. It not only contains quite a few of the original Broadway stars (Ray Walston and Gwen Verdon just to name two) but quite a number of the supporting cast as well. In other words, this casting is a dream. And to be honest with you, Tab Hunter, in one of is earlier works hard at playing Joe Hardy and quite nearly pulls it off.

The singing and the wonderfull dancing really pull this show upwards. Especially when you can see Gwen Verdon dancing with her real life husband, choreographer Bob Fosse in the "Who's Got the Pain?" number. A real show stopper.

This in one DVD you will play, again and again every time you want to remember what the Golden Age of Broadway was like, or just want to get a great taste of good theatre transfered to the screen. Get it and enjoy it!
