"Awesome"
this game is great, can't beat it. Want to play with friends well your just found an awesome first person shooter that works on even integrated graphics cards and is fun to play. Definatlly worth it can't wait for the next one.

"Learning Curve"
This games single player mode is enjoyable but its built for multiplayer. In practice it's single player is the same as multiplayer but against computer controled bots with adjustable skill settings. I play the game as a quick way to unwind by using its instant game features for single play. And while multiplayer can be fun it's my experience that it has a steep learning curve as more and more players and servers use custom made maps that many of them know by heart but on which you will be frantically trying to avoid bullets while looking for a better gun.

All in all though, this game is great for quick action and its ability for quick user modification (new maps, new characters, total game mods) almost guarantee that you can find something new for this game. So until the next UT comes out (later this year, I believe - 2007) then this is a great game.

"Forget about Battlefield 2 and Battlefront"
If you want a superior and über fps fragfest, this is the game you must purchase.

"A great Unreal Tournament..."
I really enjoyed playing Unreal Tournament 2004 for the Pc because it was a great game and didn't stray too far from the original Unreal. Of course the graphics and physics got alot better but the core and essential part of this great game stayed with it and that's why i believe it is a fun game.

A lot of fun, but only on the single player version for now. I cannot comment about online play yet.

"Unreal Editor - Great to Design your Own Level", The Unreal Tournament 2004, comes complete with a level editor, perfect to design your own! Great gift!

"Awsome", I love this game so much because of onslaught mode. Its the best thing to ever run on my pc in shooters.

"Price on this item is wrong", The price on this new DVD edition should be $9.95 not $29.95. That was the price of the old Editor's Choice edition.

"Great Game but Difficult!!", I have always been a fan of UT. I played the original for years but never did 2003. I purchased UT 2004 maybe a month ago and played it a considerable bit. Its a great game!! Awesome graphics and great gameplay. My only complaint is with the difficulty settings: It is tough! Even on the default difficulty. I couldn't imagine playing it at harder settings. I would get slaughtered!! Otherwise, it is still incredibly fun and the new team management options adds a new twist to UT.

"id Software actually has competition?", ... well, I didn't think so before playing Unreal Tournament 2004. I had to get this particualr product for a class project. I'm using the level editor to make my own level. Yes, it is cool and relatively easy to do. However, it requires some fairly powerful hardware. The tutorials on the bonus disc are very informative and helpful.The game itself is a blast. I especially like the secondary function of the Link Gun. It vaporizes opponents like a soldier that had an unfortunate encounter with Martians in a '50's Sci-Fi movie. How cool is that?

Buy this game while you can. Epic Games has just announced that they aren't making it anymore and shifting resources to the sequel, Unreal Tournament 2007. The price here on Amazon has been shifting radically too. One week it's $35, the next it's $10.
