"Tak 2", This game has been fun to play. My 6yr old son and I have been taking turns playing the game as a team. Challanging enough and yet playable to the point that he hasn't given up for being too hard to play.

"Fun Game", INTRO.
I know that some people (if I may quote the other reveiwer, Mr. B.,) think this game is 'not easy for normal humans', but seriously, it is a good game! Don't base it on whether a level or two is challenging. Would you like it better if it was a piece of cake? I sure as heck wouldn't. (To be fair, I did have some trouble with levels: Rift River, some parts of the Planetarium, etc.)

GAMEPLAY
Tak 2 plays very nicely, as far as games go. Environments and animals and people are so nicely done, and the levels are varied, not like you're in one area for the whole game. The music is easily listenable to, not like some other obnoxious video game music, example being Kingdom Hearts Traverse Town music. (Forigve me!) The fighting system is basically button mashing at the beginning, but it develops as you get new juju powers and learn combo attacks. I also enjoyed the animal changing parts of the game...true, some parts were unbeliveably annoying (like when you're a flying squirrel, juju runs out and you plummet to your death kind annoying.) but I still liked the idea of being able to change into bears, squirrels, frogs, and boars. This game's graphics do the animators credit. It's awesome how Tak's moves look so realistic when he's in water, or in mud, or tipetoeing, or jumping, or whatever.

PROS AND CONS
Pros:
1. Amazing animation
2. Funny dialouge
3. For once, a game with good music
4. Nice fighting system
5. Awsome animal changes
6. Just darn fun to play and beat!

Cons:
1. Some really hard killer levels...I had a ton of trouble with the darts in Gloomleaf Swamp...bleh.
2. A few glitches and bugs in this game.
3. Augh! Loading times!

OVERALL
I'd definitely say buy it, if not rent it. It's really fun and has a ton of replay value.

"please, don't rescue failed development....", ...obviously this game nearly never was.

brilliant graphics, cool story, humorous dialog (especially if your a fan of this kind a thing e.g jak...) its just a pity its so rubbish:
you've defeated loads of woodies and now face their boss. a hint tells you to wait until his weapon is stuck in the ground and attack him from behind. this you do, and in defeating him you succeed. but wait, nothing else happens, no new enemies, no cut scene. have you missed something? no. the game has failed to realise your success and continues to inform you of a hint about how to succeed in what you've already accomplished. the only way forward is to jump of a ledge at start the scene again, win and hope this hack of a title lets you continue. that's how this game runs. obviously the original developers had hoped for more, but who ever took over obviously couldn't give a ?#*!.

whats more i don't think its age rating gives much indication. this is scary for a 3++++ child: scary dream monsters and a battle against them (that cant be won - even by the accompanying adult helping them)

"Too Complicated!", I have this game on a demo disc and it's pretty cool, for the first five minutes! Although my mom likes it, this game lacks direction and the controls are too complicated! Plus, it's not my kind of game and I was going too buy it. I definitly recomend to rent it first.

"#1 in parenting magzine", This game is fun and you can see why parenting magzine rated it the number 1 software of the year. i like to play it with my dad. this game is really fun because you fight tak's nightmare monsters. this game has a lot of action.

"Family Fun Magazine and Parenting magazine give tops reviews", I guess I have to do this in Kids review section. My connection wont let me under regular. My name is Lisa and am the mom of 3 kids. I love this game and saw it reviewed in Family Fun magazine as their top software pick. The cut scenes in this game are hilarious. I think that these magazines are right on the money with how well this game is made. My husband and son play this game all the time and have a great time. Anyone looking for more info on this game may want to check out the Dec/Jan issue of Family Fun magazine. This gives an accurate picture of how well done this game is. As a mom, this game encourages me that it is not some shoot em up game!

"Buggy and frustrating", I tried to post this review once so if it comes up twice I will delete one, I was booted off the system.

We have been playing Tak 2 and own the game. Our impression of the game is it is very average. Me and my son have been playing the game together for about an hour a day for the past week. I believe we are fairly deep into the game. The best part of this game by far is not the game play it is the cut scenes. They were done really well and are funny and entertaining. The game does have all the formentioned issues of camera problems, lack of instruction, it is a fairly slow and tedious game to get through and there are parts where kids will get very frustrated because of not know where to go or what to do next. With that said we still wanted to play through the game to see the cut scenes and we are $39 invested into the game.

Here is where the frustration started, we got to a part in the game where there are two spinning wheels in the air and there are sheep inside the wheels. The user needs to throw "Jobly?" across to the sheep which causes him to run and a platform to raise. Then you throw Jobly? over again to the other wheel and another playform raises you can jump across both and reach a rope bridge. My son through Jobly and hit the sheep but was not standing on the raising platform. When he did the platform did not drop, there was no way to reach it no way to continue playing the game. We ran around, we tried killing our character, we tried throwing Jobly across at the different sheep, we tried backtracking we could not get the platform to drop. So ultimately we decided to reset our machine and hope that we would be back into the level with everything reset. When we did this, we received a memory card message that our data was not valid and there was no recognizable save on the card. So our dilema, do we replay 4 hours of a game we are not having much fun with or do we put it down? We unanimously decided to put the game down. I cannot believe that this bug was not caught, I am not sure who to be upset with THQ, Sony or Nickelodian but as a parent this is completely unacceptable. Thanks for the $39 worth of frustration and 4 hours of completely wasted time for both me and my son. I will not buy another game from this company and certainly do not recommend this one to anyone.

"great game", i like this game alot. it was fun to play. we rented it first and then we bought it. my only bad thing about this game is the camera work. the game looks better than any thing else out there. if you check the gaming magazines they give this game great ratings. you should read ign's, nintendo power, etc to get a really good idea about this game. i like this game becuase you go through dreams and nightmares. i give this game the following.
