"Carpal Tunnel Staved Off Once Again"
After months of near constant typing on my Dell Latitude, my wrists showed signs of taking a serious beating.

A brief prayer to the Amazon gods of technology led me to discover Kensington's wrist rest.

Regular use for nearly two months has alleviated the strain I previously felt and, in fact, has improved my usability with laptop.

I always appreciate products that strengthen my relationship with the digital world.

"Makes typing on small laptop less painfull"
I purchased a 13.3 inch laptop over a year ago, it's small form factor is great for portability, however the keyboard being so small was an unanticipated problem. Within about 8 months of using this laptop almost full time for my work, I started getting pains in my wrists and forearms. I shopped around for a laptop wrist rest for a while trying to find something that was portable enough to be taken with me when I couldn't use my external keyboard.

This item fit the bill and I've been fairly happy with it. Using my laptop keyboard with this wrist rest is still less comfortable than my ergo-keyboard, which I've started using whenever I can, but it comes in handy as many of the meetings I go to it's not practical to take my external keyboard with me.

Several of my colleagues have purchased this wrist rest after seeing me use it at meetings. I'd never heard these people complain about their wrists and hands hurting when using their laptops until they saw this wrist rest. If you're having problems with wrist, hand, or arm pain while typing on a laptop keyboard I'd recommend you try this out--while not a perfect solution, it's as good as it gets for this price.

"Saved me from my stupid Compaq laptop"
I got a Compaq 6910p laptop from work as an "upgrade". While it performs like a champ, the size & shape really suck, and it was driving me crazy that every time I typed, my wrist was banging up against the corner. No carpal tunnel, just banging my wrist. I work from the couch every day (don't have a desk), so I had to find a way to make this work.

This was the only product I was able to find that seemed like it would help, so I gave it a shot. It makes all the difference. No more wrist pain. The only thing that's a little lame is that the picture here is a bit misleading. It makes it look like the pad clamps down around the laptop, hugging it to stay in place. That's not the case. It's actually much taller than it looks in the picture (probably because they wanted it to fit much thicker laptops,) so it just kind of sits on it loosely. If I pick the laptop up, it will fall off. My laptop's base is about 3/4" thick when open.

"not for thicker laptops"
intended to use on my gaming laptop so i don't get oil stains from my hand on the nice finish.. with ergonomic support as well.. i guess its for the conventional laptops (not thick gaming laptops).. works very well with my ibm.. I still use it on my gaming laptop though.. still fits, just that it doesnt sit as nicely as it should..

bottom line.. i would still buy it if im given a second chance.. i recommend this product.. my gaming laptop is 15.4 inch, ibm is 14.1 inch.. haven tried on a 17 inch though..

"Nice laptop accessory"
Solid rubber constructions with smooth padding. Works very well for me. Can only recommend.

What our customer's say!

"Wrist Rest", Not a bad wrist wrest. I don't if I would give it a blazing review but for the price, it sure is easier on the wrists after typing for a long period of time. I packs away easy too.

"Just what I needed..", It fits perfectly on my Toshiba 15.4" Satellite Laptop - perfect wrist support! It doesn't cause me any problems reaching the mouse or anything.

"It's OK.", My laptop is one of the larger ones with a 17 inch screen so it does not work very well with it. ALthough I think if my laptop was smaller it would work better.

"Perfect for using on a train", I work on my laptop while travelling to and from work on a train, and the bone at the base of both of my hands has been getting sore from having to push down on the laptop to type and to use the touch pad. This notebook wrist rest is great, the gel is located in exactly the right spot to allow me to both type and use the touch pad, and it's rubbery material holds onto the laptop quite nicely.

The only annoying thing about it was in working out it's actual shape before buying it. It is actually one wide piece of rubber at the bottom, with the two wrist pads wrapping around on the top. Also, I had trouble getting hold of it here in Australia.

There doesn't appear to be anything else like it in the market, and I'm really happy with it.

"Not entirely effective", I ordered the wrist rest to alleviate pain from typing on my Dell Latitude D610. This does help - it tilts the keyboard to create a somewhat better angle. But it's not designed for thick laptops -- unlike in the picture, my rest lies flat against my keyboard -- the angle is not that dramatic, so my wrist position is still not ergonomically correct. And it doesn't have any noticeable impact when the laptop is on my lap -- it just raises the surface of my keyboard one half inch. The product isn't useless, but for serious wrist strain and a larger laptop I would recommend looking into alternatives.

"It's ok... ", This is ok. I was looking for a wrist rest that would fit over my laptop because of how the keyboard is set back. This fits and is made of flexible plastic, so that's good. The part where you put your wrists is pretty hard, not all that comfortable. And I have to consciously make an effort to position my hands in such a way that the base of my palm is sitting on it, rather than my wrist. (It doesn't naturally guide your hands into the right position or anything like that.) But that position is more comfortable with this product than without it.

"Wrist Rest", I had always been a desktop guy and resisted a laptop partially because I found them uncomfortable to type on because of the harsh edge that pushed into my wrists. My need for a laptop now outweighed comfort but I got lucky and found this wrist week just a few days after the laptop arrived.

This a an excellent product that is well worth the price. While the preset distance between the two supports is OK it would be nicer to be able to adjust the distance as not all laptops are the same width.

"Does the job well", I do a lot of work on my Apple iBook, and I need to be able to treat it as an actual laptop, i.e. use it on my lap rather than at a desk or workstation. When my doctor told me that I had the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome, I struggled to find a way to make my laptop more ergonomic without compromising my lifestyle. I ordered this as an experiment, and I am very pleased. It's comfortable to use and seems to do the job. My wrists feel much more comfortable.

"Great for sore wrists", I use a Dell Latitude, and my wrists were in constant pain, this accessory is light weight and effective, and since it grips your computer you can pick it up and take it with u to meetings & everything - comfort everywhere (not just the workstation)

"Very comfortable notebook laptop accessory", As a technical consultant, I have to use a laptop 40-50 hours a week. The Dell Latitude keyboard I use is killer on my wrists.

This accessory is superb. Very comfortable. I now longer have to work from home and use my desktop ergonomic keyboard when my wrists hurt too much.
