"Does the job - with a catch", This worked great, totally removed the loop hum. Only problem was that it also filtered out bravo HD. All other channels came through, no clue why.

"works for optimum cable in NYC!!!", This little adapter solved a bunch of headaches with my group loop hum problem in both video and audio. When introducing a 3 pronged plug (an Xbox 360 to be exact) into my TV/cable setup, I noticed a horrible ground hum in the speakers and picture even with 360 powered off. If I disconnected the coax from the cable box or that 3 pronged plug, that annoyance would disappear. So I opted to get this isolation transformer and placed it in between the affected cable line and cable box. That solved the group loop audio hum and scrolling horizontal bars. I am receiving all of my cable channels as well.

For the money, this adapter can't be beat and it actually works for Optimum digital cable in NYC.

"simply awesom", My problem was that I was getting some very annoying speaker hum and more specifically my subwoofer. It was getting to the point where I couldn't watch cable tv with my subwoofer on because it was just horrible. I started to do some research and read about power conditioning and was about to buy this $300 power conditioner just to get rid of the hum. I'm glad I didn't buy that power conditioner because this little thing fixed all my problems. No hum, cleaner picture (no rolling lines) and best of all it saved me $300. Highly recommend this product. Oh and if you have the onkyo sr705 and your reciever/speakers hum try this first before going onto the higher priced fixes.
