"The MOST Reliable AV Software Bar None!", Anytime I've tested another brand, my computer and productivity has suffered. This is ONE company that is getting the AV software right.

Automatic updates CONTINUOUSLY - so when something new is developed, you get it. When I run THIS software even on cabled networks and hotel networks, well, I feel secure that CA is doing what I've paid them to do - to keep my computer virus free.

I also like the updates for detecting potential NEW threats using their new engines.

I've had CA on several of my computers for YEARS. To keep me working smoothly, I continue CA on my computers.

Note that this software is customizable - so you can turn off protection you don't want - Anti-Spam, Personal Firewall and/or Anti-Spyware. I tend to run another firewall and know how to protect against spyware. I also run an optimization program which catches what the anti-spyware programs don't.

So using any option outside of the Antivirus (which does look for viruses in email, downloads, webpages and graphics) is a personal choice.

Here's a PLUS - I was able to put this on a computer OVER Norton - then scan my system making sure everything was copacetic, deactivate Norton's for a few days before removing it from my computer without a problem. MANY other AV makers REQUIRE you remove another product FIRST before you put yours on.

And EVEN if it seems like there is nothing that other program has failed to kill apparent, the act of getting rid of it can load something it quietly sequestered/suppressed that you did not see...

I should know...this happened to me about 18 months ago when I was testing PC Cillin over Norton. It cost me several years of data (due to a computer doctor mishap)...a lesson I will always remember.

"Protection at a Price. ", I've had this program for as long as I've had my current desktop. I've found the interface easy to use and I like that it allows me to take control on what programs access the internet. I also like that it informs me of any dubious attempts to connect to my computer, lets me know where in the world the attempt was made from, and then reports the attempt back to the owner of the IP. HOWEVER, this program has an element called True Vector that wreaks all kinds of havok on Windows systems, causing every kind of system failure imaginable. If you use your computer to play video games or watch DVDs or edit video footage then you do not want this product. You can search for "true vector" online and you will see the widespread problem that it is. I don't know why they haven't attempted to fix it, but it renders the EZArmor program worthless. And the only suggestion I recieved from Tech Support was the usual "uninstall and reinstall" after which they sent me an email saying they considered the problem resolved...even though my computer is still crashing every few minutes.

"Buy This Instead Of The 2006 Internet Security Suite!", This is fabulous easy to use security software. And unlike the disastrous installation problems of the 2006 CA Internet Security Suite, this easily installs in just a few minutes, even if you're offline.

This also has IM security, and IM blocks, as well as a password setting to keep others from tampering with your blocks and settings...great in offices. :)

"This is the best I have used.", I just finished writing a review for eTrust's Internet Security package after I saw the unbelievable amount of negative responses. I will not go back to Norton or Mcafee unless the mimic CA's design and usefullness. I am on my second year with this program and have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. It is does not bog my system down like the "other" two nor did it take a lot of space (space was not a issue for me but it helps keep the system running smoothly). Again, this program is great and I definitly recommmend it!

"Good, although does have a drawback", The anti-virus software, I think, is pretty much flawless, and absolutely terrific in terms of user-friendliness.

However, the firewall is clunky and frustrating. There's no telling when or how it's going to react, and I wouldn't use it over better and cheaper spyware protection. I would say that the firewall really slows performance, but the anti-virus saves is lightning fast, so it's a give and take.

Overall it's worth giving a try, but I recommend just getting the free subscription for a year off CA's website...you might be pleasantly surprised.

"Better PC performance", I had trusted one of the major company's antivirus software, but it caused me a lot of conflicts between softwares, it took me like 2 minutes to turn off, and even longer to turn on. When I scanned the system for viruses I couldn't do anything else. And when I wanted to watch movies there was a lot of skipping.
Now my computer is performing much better with this antivirus and firewall. Now I can surf the net while scanning my system. I upgraded the software and a whole system scan took only 35 minutes. That was pretty impressive, because usually it took me over an hour, no matter the program, with the difference I could do other things with EZ.
Best thing is I got a 1 year license through microsoft and it hasn't expired, but when the time comes I'm pretty sure I will renew it.
You can also configure it to scan files sent through IM programs. It scans emails, with out slowing down the upload or download.
This is the cheapest program, but it really delivers. My sister in England got it too and is pretty satisfied.



"Think again before you waste your money", I purchase this package on 5/10/05 it arrive the next day - free shipping great job Amazon. I installed the program two days later and over the weekend witnessed a fast deterioration in my computers speed, especially on the net. It would hung between pages and not recognize others. I had trouble getting to the CA support page and eventually uninstalled the program, which sped up my computer and got me to their 24/7 support desk. I sent a message on 5/16 and waited for a reply and waited. On 5/22 I received the following -I infer from your mail that your EZ Armor has gone corrupt. Please Uninstall & reinstall it. Which I did removing all trace from my system and the registry. I reinstalled the link they gave me but this failed to install the AV. I sent several comments back but I don't think the person could understand English. The final straw came when the individual blamed Microsoft windows security for the problem and suggest I call Microsoft - for their (CA's) corrupt software Dah!! and offered no other course of redress. I shall purchase another security suite and tell all whom I know to stay away from this product. This is a waste or money and more import a waste of time.

"Awful, awful software and even worse customer service", I absolutely hated this software. Within minutes of loading it onto my HP computer w/ Windows XP, my PC started having issues. For one thing, every now and then since loading it, windows would just start opening at random and it would be impossible to close them all so I'd have to shut down. Also, this software is very strict. For instance, it's recommended settings block auction item pictures on Ebay. I tried and tried but could not find a way to lower the setting for just ebay so had to lower all settings and finally, ended up turning the software off. Customer service with this company is a joke. TO receive help over the phone, you have to pay per phone call. You can email for free but they don't bother to answer the email at all. So basically, if you want to discuss their $39.99 software with them, they're going to charge you $50.00 to do it. What a bargain! Eventually, I uninstalled the software, snapped the CD in half and sent it back to them. They can keep their junk. I uploaded Microsoft's Beta spyware for FREE and it works much better. Don't buy this junk!

"JUNK", I installed this on a brand new Dell computer and when I restarted the computer it would not restart Windows. I spent 30 minutes with Dell support to get my computer back up. I did a system restore and then bought McAfee and it works fine. You get what you pay for.

"EXCELLENT!!!!", eTrust EZ Armor is the simplest and most efficient software I have ever used! I purchased it after my Norton software failed to detect a virus and countless other adwares. Mind you, I am very attentive to update regularly, obviously it was pointless. I purchased McAfee Internet Security bundle and the disc was defective right out of the box! I spent a total of 4 hours and $40 bucks on phone support trying to INSTALL the software. I had enough and quickly demanded a refund for the phone support and will be returning the software as well. The next day, I ventured into the local Circuit City picked this great software up, up and running in less than 8 minutes!!!! I was impressed.

Bottom line for me, Norton is garbage, McAfee is worthless. Big brand names don't always equal quality.
