"Rocking Afghanistan", First, I had NO IDEA HOW TO PLAY the guitar before I ordered this 'cheap' guitar and had it shipped to Afghanistan where I am currently stationed. It arrived FAST, which is great. It arrived in good shape, which means that the packaging is good. After I put it together (strings anyway) I busted the small string (whichever one that is). Fifteen minutes later and a little theft from a buddies string stash I had my guitar strung and tuned.

Since there are hundreds of podcasts on how to play a guitar for free and books all over this base on how to play the guitar - I am proud to say that I can now 'get by' with a a few tunes.

This guitar plays well, it is light (which I like), sounds nice (a little twangy) and is perfect for the price.

I will be leaving it here is Afghanistan when I return home, but it will continue to be enjoyed by soldiers for a long time as the quality of the manufacturing is good and sturdy.

"Awesome Guitar!!!", To begin with, I will give you my honest opinion about this guitar. Being that I'm a beginner, I can only give you my honest opinion as a beginner. The reason I purchased this guitar is because of the great 5 star reviews it had on Amazon. I was still a little skeptical about it to the fact that it was an online purchase and I was afraid of the "what if(s)" were to happen, and I would have to end up given it back with a hassle. But anyway, I found this to be an excellent guitar overall. When I first received it, I immediately began playing it. I've noticed right after, however, that the strings were making rattling noises next to the frets on the guitar, and I said to myself that this couldn't be normal. I had even tried tuning it from the tuners on the guitar. Being so skeptical, I took it to a nearby pawn store close to my house. They sell guitars there and have guitar experts, so I knew that I could get an experts opinion on the rattling noises. The expert told me that it just needs tuning up and I would have to get an electric tuner with a mic to tune it properly. He told me that this is a great guitar and I shouldn't worry. Furthermore, once tuned properly, the rattling noises will go away as I play, being the fact that the guitar is new. So I quickly purchased a tuner, which he recommended called Korg Chromatic Tuner CA-30. And let me tell you, he sure was right. As I'm playing the guitar now, I don't hear any rattling noises like I did before. The guitar plays superb, a lot like the expensive guitars. So I do recommend getting an electric tuner, especially the one I purchased, when purchasing this guitar. This is definitely worth the money.

"Nice beginner guitar", I bought this guitar for my 15 year old son to learn on. My brother has several guitars, and he thought it was good guitar for the money. By no means is this a professional sounding guitar. You can definately tell the difference between this and one of my brother's which are expensive. But for a beginner this is a good choice. One of the strings was broken upon receipt as well as a scratch on the front of the guitar, but I was going to change the strings anyway. It can make a big difference with the type of strings you use as well. My son brings it to school every day, and after over a month it is holding up well.

"Great guitar", I got this as a gift for someone. The guitar sounds great, feels great, could be a little easier on the fingers, but the person who recieved the gift had/has no complaints.

"Best bang for buck and beyond", Bought my Jasmine S35 at a local music shop. I own a fine Larrivee acoustic as well as several other guitars. The action is adjustable, and I have set it just right - low action, no buzzing. The construction is remarkably flawless. It plays (action) very well, unlike the laborious and discouraging quality normally found in inexpensive instruments. Although it does not ring out like more expensive guitars with finer spruce tops, it has a unique tone for blues fingerpicking and a nice, even strumming sound too. It doesn't look cheap. this guitar is a steal at $100.

"Good Beginner's Guitar", This is a nice beginner's guitar. The action is kind of high, so you will earn your calluses quickly. I bought mine from GearTree through Amazon, and it arrived quickly in great condition. However, consider buying directly from a vendor's website, because some offer free shipping when you buy directly. Then you can buy a decent case or a strap as well, and for the same price as shipping would have cost you. Also, get an inexpensive tuner as well - you will be playing the day it arrives!

"Takamine S35 Guitar", This is my third guitar. They have all been entry level instruments, and it seems as fast as I buy them I give them to my children. This one I will keep. This is by far the best guitar of the previous two, and thinking back the least expensive. I cannot believe how well-made this instrument is, with close attention to detail. There were no short-cuts taken when assembling this guitar, those small details that usually distinguish entry level instuments. I would recommend this guitar to anyone.



"Very good acoustic smooth sound", I have been using this guitar for about a year have posted pics also on amazon. I got it from geartree for 99.99 and I am glad that the guitar was so nice. Bass string and treble string 1-6 just sound so clear and seperated in this guitar. I'd suggest any beginner to go with this guitar. Even proffessionals can try too if they haven't tried it. worth

"Great guitar!", I've had this guitar for about 2 years now, and it's absolutely fantastic. It's got an awesome sound, and it's a good size. It's great for a beginner, or someone that doesn't want to spend a whole bunch of money, but that wants a full sized guitar.

I didn't get mine from amazon, so mine was more than what they say it is on this site. That's a pretty good price people. My advice right now would be to buy this guitar on this site for a great price. This guitar is fantastic.
