"Great for Wii"
these batteries are great for the wii. Tehy will work for 3 to 5 days and then I just change them for a fresh pair. I use the slow charger I have 10 bateries for 3 controls and I'm never out of bateries.

I think these batteries are primarly for toys.

"The savings will be worth the money!"
I bought this because I am always eating through batteries for my camera, they are more expensive up front (espically since youhave to buy a charger), but it is going to be worth it, I wont have to buy batteries for years!!

"powerful!!"
2500 mAh Energizer AA : These batteries are POWERFUL. You will need to use an overnight charger & let them charge for the whole time listed to get the complete & fullest charge for these batteries. The quick chargers are good for keeping the teary eyed toddler from throwing a fit, then after he goes to bed, put them in the overnight charger. These batteries have been in our son's Leapfrog Clickstart keyboard for over a month & they are STILL going strong, longer than the regular AA's, and he uses it everyday. We have the C size in the console & same there, over a month now - almost 2 - lasting longer than the regular batteries did (only a month) I am completely amazed at how long they hold a charge. I am getting more because we seem to have quite a few things that need AAs. The price may seem steep at first, but we will save quite a lot in just a year by using these rechargeables.

"Don't even bother"
Since I have a lot of devices that use batteries (X360 controller, remotes, clocks, camera, wireless keyboard/mouse, etc.), I decided that using rechargeable batteries would be best. I decided to invest some money in a couple of these batteries (roughly 16 AA and 8 AAA). Starting off with only 4 AA, it slowly amounted to what I have today.

In a nutshell, I've never been so disappointed in a set of batteries. I understand that you can't rely on cheap batteries, but I figured that I couldn't go wrong with sticking with the big names when it comes to dependability. This is where Energizer has completely convinced me otherwise.

If you just picked up a set of these batteries, they'll seem amazing for the first few usages. I have had some of these batteries for almost 2 years now, and they are all but dead. I'm not talking about leaving them on the shelf, I'm talking about dead right off the charger. I'm using the LaCrosse BC-900, so I know its not the charger. Prior to that I use to use one of Energizer's $30 chargers, but switched because I thought that the charger was the only problem. I sure felt like an idiot a year ago when I was asked to be the photographer for a rehersal. For this, my camera was the Canon A620 which uses 4 AAs. I took what I thought were completely charged batteries and left for the event. About 3 hours later it was time to take a lot of photos. After about 20 shots the camera powered down, and everyone was staring at me. These pictures were taken using manual mode without any flash. Needless to say, I had to run to the gas station across the road to get some batteries. Now switch to a more recent event. Last week I took 4 batteries off the charger to use with my camera. The camera powered up then powered off. My other devices will run on them for awhile, but then they don't use that much energy. Needless to say, I don't even bother to replace my batteries with batteries that aren't coming right off the charger.

A few weeks ago I purchased a set of 4 Duracell rechargeable batteries (AA/HR6/DX1500 NiMH/1,2V/2000 mAh). So far they've been doing quite well, as well as the batteries that came with my charger. However, I'll have to see if they stand the test of time. Afterall, that's the whole purpose of using rechargeable batteries. I'll also pickup a couple of Eneloops.

"good batteries, could be better"
i havnt had a set of rechargeable batteries without a high discharge rate, which leads me to believe that its the norm. that said, im rating these in comparison with other batteries of this type. they do what they are supposed to do. theyre batteries people, if they die out, go and buy new ones. if they lasted forever, energizer wouldnt make any money. this isnt a stride gum commercial, its a business. buy them, enjoy them, and rebuy them as necessary. take care and i hope this review helps.

What our customer's say!

"don't last more than a few months", I bought an 8 pack of these 2500mAh for my fiance at Xmas 2007 for her new digital camera. For the first 4-5 months they worked well. Over the past few months they rarely hold a charge for more than 7-10 pictures. Have now read a lot of reviews on the very fast shelf discharge rate they have. Which explains why just recharged batteries sitting in the camera are dead in a day w/o the camera ever being used.
Do not buy these batteries.

Sam

"great price on rechargeables", These batteries were a great price and were delivered to me in an extremely speedy fashion.

"Not worth the time you spend charging them", In an effort to go more green, I decided to buy these batteries and their associated charger. For all intents and purposes, the charger seems to work very well, but these batteries are the worst. When I first bought the set about three months ago, I could charge the batteries and have them last for a very long time in my electronics. Now, I can fully charge them on one day, and by the end of the next day (in a remote control), they are dead. We're not even talking about a digital camera. I've used the same batteries in household clocks with the result of them dying after only 2 weeks. And forget about putting these things in a Wii-mote. I know that all rechargeable batteries discharge their energy over time, even if not used. But these Energizer rechargeable batteries seem to lose their energy faster than any other brand I've used. I would not recommend these for anyone looking for good rechargeable batteries. It can drive someone to not being green in this area.

"deserves a minus ten . . .", Avoid these batteries!!!!!! They are so bad they deserve a rating of minus ten. My experience is similar to many others. Good initial performance, and then after a while these bloody Energizers can't hold a charge. Unfortunately before I discovered how crappy they really are, I bought a bunch of them, for use in my digital cameras and camera flash units. When these babies fail, performance falls like a lead balloon. They might have enough power to operate a remote control unit, but you can forget about powering anything with a major power draw.

Unfortunately Energizer is extremely successful at getting stores to stock this junk. I get real annoyed whenever I see them on display, because it reminds me of all the money I wasted. They seem to be available everywhere, a constant reminder of a disaster. How does a product that is so bad, get such great distribution and remain available for sale? Energizer probably gets off easy, because it takes a while for their batteries to go bad. By then, it's less likely that people will complain or return them. Blasting them wherever I can is like therapy for me. Believe what you hear people, these batteries are terrible!

As an alternative, I have been very satisfied with the performance of Ray-O-Vac Hybrid cells, both the AA and AAA sizes. Take a look at them.

"Don't Waste your Money - stay away!", I bought 16 of these batteries at 2 different times. I recently purchased a La-Crosse BC-900 charger thinking I could recover them, but they still self discharge to less than 1V in as little as 2 days, and always less than 1 week.

I have much older Energizer 1700 mAh batteries and even older (about 10 years old) Sony batteries (1600 mAh and 1450 mAh) - all hold a charge longer and work better than these 2500 mAh Energizers.

These are no good - stay away!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"These are great for small electronics", Remotes, Wii Controllers, MP3 portable speakers, Umbrella Lights, X360 controllers, Solar rechargeable patio lights, and many other uses. while some reviews are that these don't hold well in digital cameras, i have found that for all of my above listed these batteries perform very very well. I own about 20+ of them, and i have yet to have one that has gone bad over the past 4 years of using this brand. My only problem is the mass amount of devices that i have that use AA batteries, and that is the only reason i own so many. The small 4 battery charger is all i use, and has worked great for years!

"Very Low Quality", I'm surprised at how these Energizer nimh batteries don't hold up. They don't hold their charge after a few months of use and their discharge rate is very high. Don't expect to use them after a few weeks on the shelf. I highly recommend going with a low self-discharge nimh or anything other than Energizer.

"Energized All The Time", What the?? For the past 2.5 years, I have used the same four Energizer 2500mAh in my Canon S3 with no issues whatsoever! They hold a charge even when my camera sits for weeks. I usually take between 100 - 300 shots when I go on vacation or to a ballgame, and I have never run out of power. Also, longevity is not an issue for usage in my Wii remotes. Go ahead and buy them.

"Energizer Rechargables ", We bought dozens of these batteries. They worked great for the first few months, then sharply declined. They do not hold a charge for more than a day left out on the counter, and to use them in a radio or digital camera, we literally get only a few minutes out of them. The package says they can be charged 1000 times. There is no way we have even come close to this number yet. What a waste of money!

"Works great in my Digital Camera and for my Wii Remotes", I bought these a little over a year ago and have been using them in my Canon S3 IS. I usually get about 500-520 shots per charge. I tend to use my flash about 20-30% of the time and I am always playing around with the zoom. When it is really bright outside, I will turn off the LCD and use to viewfinder. When I was on vacation charged all 8 batteries prior to leaving and had enough battery life to fill both my 2 GB cards and still view the pictures.

I have also started using these in my Wii remotes and they have worked for weeks without needing a recharge.

As many reviewers have pointed out, these batteries do discharge when they sit unused. I have had this happen twice when I have let things sit for 4-6 weeks unused (e.g., third Wii remote)

Minor complaints...as another reviewer pointed out, these get hot when charging. I have the slower charger that takes 4-8 hours to get a full recharge.
