"the "boss" of distortion", this product changed my attitude towards playing guitar. i think mine is 3 years old and the only problem is that it doesn't work well with batteries at all. trust me use an AC adapter it will make it sound better. however it doesn't work good with small amps, in fact, it even controlled what my old marshall did. it will make a difference on any guitar u try, and i love how i can make so many EQ settings. i got mine at guitar center, don't bother buying it online as i found its hard to get it that way.

"Great for metal and rock guitar.", I bought mine used three years ago and it works great. It works for a Metallica, Pantera type sound. You can also get good rock sounds with the gain turned down and eq. adjusted.

"Boss is boss", I've had my Boss Metal Zone for about 15 years and have never had any issues with it. It's an incredibly versatile distortion pedal (whether you're playing Thrash-metal or Brit-pop). I've used other (cheaper) fuzz-boxes etc, but I always come back to the Boss. Well worth the money.
