"Good mouse for a good price"
I needed a mouse for my MacBook Pro. I wanted a wired mouse so that I didn't have to worry about batteries. The Mac mouse is nice, but overpriced and the reviews are not stellar (especially when you compare prices)
This is a nice mouse. Looks okay, fit okay, price great.

"Good for PC, Bad for MAC"
This mouse works great on my PC, but when I plugged it into my MAC, for some reason, it had a mind of it's own and refused to work correctly after a few minutes. Overall, it's a good inexpensive mouse and I would buy it again.

"Real good"
This mouse is all that I expected and more. It surpasses the one that came with my IMac. Has a wheel to navigate and is a lot of fun to use.Came real fast from the vendor and in great condition.

"You can teach an old "dog" new mouse tricks!"
In 1984 when I bought my first Macintosh, I was so computer illiterate that it remained on my desk for two weeks as I circled around, gathering the courage to open the instruction book and learn from scratch. I recall how my daughters laughed at my "conservatism." Mom was actually afraid of a little ol' computer.

Needless to say, I mastered that machine, Words, PageMaker, Quicken, PhotoShop, and every program thrown at me in the course of publishing my own newspaper in Silicon Valley over a period of 15 years. I never procrastinated on any of the software as I had on the Mac (that cute little one with the ten-inch screen ... Remember?).

Anyway, I'm a creature of habit and would NOT give up my BALL mouse for anything. So when my daughter Deb got me this Kensington 2-button, scroll wheel model, I wouldn't let the mouse out of the box. I got it for Christmas and didn't touch it until a few days ago. Playing "chicken" again!

Well, I must tell you I'm as thrilled with this little gadget as I was with my Macintosh. I can't believe I didn't make my life easier by switching to this more up-to-date, easier-to-use mouse years ago. Wow! It's awesome.

Like the ads say, this mouse's optical technology works like a breeze with my Mac. ... Right out of the box, it matched my fastest movements, scrolling around the screen like an INDIE 500 race-car. I love it!

Yes, you can teach an old "dog" new tricks.

"Defective"
This mouse randomly sends the pointer across the screen at unpredictable times. I went back to my old style ball mouse.

What our customer's say!

"GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE", Works fine for me like any other mouse on both Macs and Windows, no problems. Had it for about a month, very little often do I see the mouse moving across (particularly up) the screen as with a mind of it's own, but my desk is uneven! Thanks be to the makers Kensington for that great mouse!

"Goes nicely with Mac Mini", I got this mouse to go with a Mac Mini. The finish of the mouse looks great with the anodized aluminum finish on the sides of the Mini and Apple's new 'chic-let' thin keyboard. It is glossy where your fingers rest and very easy to wipe clean if you get dirt build-up.

The Kensington is a bit large, but very comfortable for adult hands. If it is on a family computer, where small children will be using, I would maybe look for something that would better fit small hands. But for this price, you could always try it and still get another smaller mouse if necessary.

Most of the functionality of Apple's mouse is there with the exception of horizontal scroll and the side buttons, which I rarely use on my other Macs with Apple mice. It is currently on a wooden desk with no track pad, yet this optical mouse tracks perfectly. For the price paid, this is a nice looking mouse, with enough features for regular users.

"Works fine with Mac ", Disappointed with the frequent pairing issues with the Logitech wireless mouse I bought for my iMac so went to this simple corded product. Simply plug and play. Always works. No problems. Don't know about durability as only had for a month.

"Computer mouse", The mouse has worked very well and was delivered just as stated and when it was promised.

"It Will Drive You Crazy", I purchased this product hoping it would put an end to cleaning the old ball type mouse. I am very disappointed with the Kensington Mouse and will be going back to my old mouse. Basically, the mouse has a mind of it's own!

"you're right on targer", ...and you know that I think about negative reviews on this mouse, it is either wrote by other companies' mm or people with so much malware & spyware on their computers that they can hardly know what's going on their screens. I bought this mouse about year ago. I was looking for a simple optical mouse with the cable (wireless is just a waste of money -> on batteries, unless you're on the go all the time) and found it. I dropped it more than 10 times, spilled drinks nothing happened. It is nicely designed and comfortably fit in your hand. Splurge few bucks even on used one you won't regret it and it'll work for the next 2 years unless you steamroll it.

"Problem with down-click", I bought this mouse relying on the Kensington name brand. Since I bought it, this mouse has continually given me one problem: I'll be holding the left button down, trying to drag the cursor over something, and suddenly I find that the cursor is no longer 'dragging.' It's as thought the mouse 'forgot' that I was holding down the button. This can get very annoying, and sometimes even problematic, since this odd behavior can cause some very strange results when using multiple monitors... windows jumping to places they shouldn't be, windows disappearing entirely, and others. There is another review here with a similar complaint, so this doesn't seem to be an isolated issue. I do not recommend this mouse.

EDIT TO ADD: After contacting Kensington about my problem, they sent me a replacement mouse free of charge, no questions asked. (The tech support guy spoke with such a thick Indian accent I could hardly understand him, but that's a different story...) The new mouse does not appear to have the problem that the old one did.

"Excellent Design for Lefties!", There are lots of choices for optical mouses(mice?), but the symetrical design and long buttons (levers?) of this mouse make it incredibly comfortable. Without special software, this mouse plugs in, works, is accurate, tracks smoothly, and is completely compatible. I have had more difficulty with other Microsoft and Logitech optical mouses than I care to recollect, particularly getting them to switch sides and stay switched! This is an excellent product at a very fair price.

"best cheap mouse I ever found", I'm a Mac nut. In ten years of using mac products the one thing I've never been impressed with is their mice.
This little Kensington does everything you want with a left click/right click scroll wheel mouse. It's well built, solid, and operates smoothly. It puts apples worthless mighty mouse to shame.

"Basic Mouse works just fine", Just bought this from Kensington at a better price! This is a bare bones two button with scroll wheel mouse. It feels good in the hand, functions the way it should and doesn't even come with software! uses the drivers you already have - no problems on my Mac at all. Scroll wheel works excellently which has been an issue with other mice on the Mac without a dedicated driver installed. Couldn't be more simple. If you are looking for a four or five button mouse - this isn't the one! I love the looks which complement my eMac very nicely. Kensington has a good warranty and I know from experience that they stand behind it. Of the four or so Kensington mice I have purchased over the last 15 or so years for several computers - 2 at home and one at work, I have had to replace one - and they sent it out promptly - no hassle.
