Others say...
"it's way better than the touchpad" This is a really great product! I can't stand the touch pad that you get with a laptop! you don't need a mouse pad because this mouse uses LED's instead of the friction type devices.
"Right button clicks by itself, and the red light is annoying." Wow, how common are optical mouse these days. Yes, they were a minor miracle when they replaced ball mice, but you'd think by now you could take certain things for granted, like not having the right button click itself every time you drop the mouse more than a half an inch on to your mousepad. It makes a difference when you are in the heat of a computer game, or your little kid is just learning to use a computer. Get this mouse off the mousepad just a little bit and bring it down too hard and panels corresponding to the right mouse button start popping up on your screen.
And, kick back and relax with your favorite DVD on your computer monitor, and find yourself at eye level with the big red light at the back end of the mouse. Do I need a big red light to find this thing? No. Do I need a big red light to tell me that it is on? No. Do I need to turn this mouse around every time I watch a DVD on my computer. Yes, or there's a big red light in my face.
Nice going whoever thought of that. Probably the same people who put bright red and green and blue lights right under TV screens and monitor panels. Just because they can. We need more little bright lights right next to the things we want to watch.
"This mouse is the big cheese." This mouse works great super saver shipping is exellent. Comes with optional pc2 adapter for older computers. I highly recommend this mouse.
"A Mouse Among Men" What a wonder little device. My son suggested that I join the modern age and get an optical mouse. I am certainly glad I took his advice.
I love my new Microsoft Optical Mouse which looks as fun as it is functional.
A great buy for the money!
"Great Mouse for the price!" This is a fine mouse for the price! Easy to use and very comfortable! Highly Recommend! Needed a USB mouse and this one is great.

What our customer's say!
"Good wired mouse", I bought this mouse to replace an IBM optical mouse I used with an older Dell desktop. This Microsoft mouse is built well, comfortable to use and performs well. I went for a Microsoft mouse because I already own two of them (white color though) and I have never had any problems with them, unlike GE or IBM mice I owned.
"A very good mouse.", This is a computer mouse that gets the job done. It works with Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows XP. It fits my hand very nicely. This mouse is well made and reasonably priced. What else needs to be said?
"Simple, Comfortable, Reliable...", If you need a simple, comfortable and reliable mouse, this is it. I have three at home and one at work. I have never had a single problem with any of them. The mouse has a good tactile feel and fits an average sized adult hand perfectly. I don't normally rate things with five stars but I can not honestly find a reason to knock it down a star.
"Actually pretty cheap all-round..", I know from some of the other reviews that this mouse COULD be kinda 'exciting' compared to an ancient 'ball mouse'.. (Does anyone even have one of those anymore?) But when it comes to our modern 'sensor-mice' of today? This thing is actually pretty so-so. (though for a quick $19 buck fix.. propably ok.) Like some others have stated, I've noticed that the wheel and buttons are none-too precise. TOO 'sensitive' when you wouldn't like them to be.. and alternatively not quite so responsive at other times. The buttons and wheel do routinely 'click/move' themselves which can be a minor annoyance. On top of that.. the whole thing has a bit of a 'cheap flimsy' feel to it.. and the wheel likewise has a very cheap clunky feel to it (I kid not - It's like a wheel on a cereal-box toy) and broke down on mine after a few months. And as someone else mentioned? The BIG RED light on the back (the things 'snazziest feature') is actually pretty annoying come movie time or likewise. (I have to turn it around as well) After having tried out this one Microsoft mouse?.. I'm actually perplexed why so many people think they're so great. Seriously, the mouse that came with my old HP (which I wouldn't have even thought much of at the time) - spun wheels around this piece of junk.. and lasted a HELL OF A LOT longer!
Sorry, put the only impression I got from trying this one Microsoft mouse - was never to bother buying another one from them again.
2 stars for an barely-average sensor mouse at a minimal $20 bucks. That's it.
"works great ", works great for the money and the included software lets you customise what the middle button does and allows for faster vertical scrolling with each turn of the middle wheel

Read this reviews before You buy...
"Couldn't be more pleased!", I purchased this new mouse to replace original mouse with my Gateway system. This mouse has all most anyone would want, unless you need a cordless model. It has operated flawlessly and is very smooth, as no ball is under this mouse. I don't know the life expectancy of this model, but whatever it is, I would consider buying another at the price I paid.
"good quality but", the click is too sensitive and the shape is bulky. otherwise it is good.
"Drop dead simple and reliable...", I'm in my third year with this mouse. It worked the first time I plugged it in, and never fails to connect and track accurately. The feet are in the same place there always were, and the scroll wheel works perfectly. Aside from an occasional wipe down of the mouse and a dusting of the optical port, I've just USED it! I've tried to replace it several times with wireless mice, but the comfort, reliability, and build quality keep bringing me back. A great bargain at about $15.00 or less.
"Great Product", Used to replace old-style ball mouse for my computer at work. I liked it so much that I bought another one for home as well. It is maintenance free - no more cleaning ball and inside! I also like it better than wireless once since this one has no batteries to change!
"Not a right hand mouse AND quality inconsistent", Bought 2 - same lot per packages but one has a funky right click (slow response). Despite pic this is NOT a right handed mouse; the contour is identical on both sides. Is USB but comes with USB to PS/2 connector that *actually* works as such (YEAH! and I can use it as an USB when I upgrade!). I'd give it a five except for the funky mouse which my husband (who doesn't use a right click as much as I do) has volunteered to use (isn't he a prince?).
