"I'll remember to never buy refurbished", I suppose this product will teach me not to buy a refurbished item. When I use this mic, a loud drone can be heard like a very low key siren. Thank God my camera comes in with a built in mic. That'll have to do until I get a better mic.

"Good Mic", Nice looking mic, sleek and good quality. Wow, seeing the price that it is now, makes me happy to say that i paid less than $20 for. In all, great deal, great price and worth the price for great quality. Even if i paid the $40 for this, It would be very worth it. This is a mid priced microphone. I give it 4 stars because it's simple, and sleek. No problems with recordings and chats. It's also mountable to your monitor.

"Does the job", Bought it for my son for pc gaming. His friends can hear him using vent and teamspeak.

"mic", The Logitech Ddesktop Microphone works just fine. it is handy, not in the way, and easy to adjust.

"NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MACS!!", This product is NOT compatible with ANY Mac which is why I am unsatisfied with it. I literally went to the Apple Store WITH my computer and we were not able to get it to work. We then tried it on at least FOUR OR FIVE OTHER MODELS OF MAC (iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Book, etc) and still had ZERO SUCCESS.

It is plain FALSE ADVERTISING to say that this product is Mac compatible because it isn't, plain and simple. If I try to return it to Logitech they will charge for the shipping and handling and I will LOSE MONEY for sending it back it and I've searched for a very long time for an adaptor but I've been unsuccessful.

You're probably better off buying the USB version of this product since USB works with just about anything.

"not great, but works", wasnt what i expected. it works, but the quality isnt that great. i guess its meant to used casually only.

"Its An Inexpensive And Great Microphone", Logitech's Desktop Microphone is an efficient and inexpensive microphone that is easy to use. It simply plugs into the back of your desktop with a pink male plug. Go into your "control panel" and set the volume sensitivity through SOUND, then RECORDING and then MICROPHONE. It picks up your voice from as far away as six feet, but the cleanest sound is about one foot from the mic. Too close and you can get distortion. This is a great way to record sound clips for home videos, practicing speech recognition programs or just practicing learning a new language. There is also an attachment for the side of your monitor if you choose to leave your computer tabletop clear. The mic also rotates and can be adjusted up and down about 10 inches.

"I'm impressed.", I switched to this when my headset/boom microphone died, and was surprised to find that it worked better. I've got a soft voice, but I was even able to turn off the mic boost/gain in Windows' volume controls.

The mic sits 18-24" from my mouth (in front of the monitor, overhanging the keyboard) and picks me up loud and clear. I've hears nothing but positive comments from other Ventrilo/Teamspeak/Skype users. If I raise my voice I can talk at it from a few feet away.

"Desktop Microphone", This Logitech Microphone does an exceptional job. It is stylish and the mute button right at hand. I would order this product again if the need arose.

"You have to speak right into it", The only problem with this microphone is that you have to speak right into it. I wanted something hands free, where I could talk over the internet with friends while doing something else in the same room -perhaps like a speakerphone. This microphone won't let you do that. If you move your mouth more than 6 inches away from the mic, the people on the other end can barely hear you. If you want something really hands (and head) free, try something different. The Logitech Webcam/Mic has great range, but it gives a lot of static (randomly, not due to noise...)
