"One of the most important games ever made" I really wanted to review the very first Super Mario Brothers for the NES, but I couldn't find it online. So instead, I will review it on th is instead, which is great, because all gamers who have not played this game should get it and msot of all, enjoy it. It's no wonder why so many people, gamers and non gamers, have played this game and enjoyed it the whole way.
Before Super Mario came out, games were alot different. BEfore the release, most games didn't have the same level of play that Super Mario did. This basically means, the multiple levels, the attacking of various creatures using more than one strategy, all kinds of stuff never seen in a videogame before. It boggled the mind back then, it was amazing, and the fanboys whoi lived during that time know what they are talking about. In short, nobody saw a game like this, that had trooping turtles, secret levels, real levels, being able to throw shells, shoot fireballs, too many stuff that nobody has ever seen before. Look back at games before this game was released, and compare it's gameplay to this game. If you really stop and think about what's going on, how you are playing, and what you have to do, it really blows your mind.
Of course, Super Mario brothers may have been influential, but I have to say that it is still fun today. The classic story, the rivalry, the jump,. and even the graphics are still fresh in some ways. Forget about how games like MOtorstorm look so realistic. This game has a reason to be on all of those top ten lists. This game is not overrated one bit, as it proudly stands as the game that shaped gaming.
As for this game, people would kill if they knew you could play this on the go on a Gameboy Micro. Forget about how unrealisc the graphics are (hey, it was 1985. Things had to evolve, you know), and enjoy how good the game is. I certainly did.
"NES the Beginning of Super Mario Bros. Adventures." Playing this game on the game boy advance brings back memeries of the first time Super Mario Bros. was released in 1985 for the nintendo entertainment system. This remake of the original game has all the original sounds and music from the cool classic game. It would be nice if the other classic Super Mario Bros.(Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3 from nes)were released for game boy advance so that we all can relive the cool experience of thoes original nintendo games too.
"awsome game" this is the best gameboy game in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could play this all day
"Still a lot of fun" Just like back in the 80's, I am hooked on this game and still have a hard time putting it down! In fact my 12 year old daughter is the same way. She thinks it is the best game ever! This game is impossible to find in stores. Several of my friends are looking it for.
"Fun, fantastic game!" This classic Mario game is just as I remembered. So much fun!

What our customer's say!
"AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE", THIS IS THE BEST SELLING GAME WITH 40 MILLION COPIES AS OF 1999 AND THE BEST GAME OF THE 80S, 90S, 2000S. IT IS AAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWSSSOMMMMEEE CASE CLOSED. BOWSER LOST TO MARIO.
"Guess who's back?", All right, so I hadn't really played any video game system of any kind for about 15 years. Got back into it last year. I hadn't really gone looking too deep into GBA games because I had the 2 or 3 games I thought I wanted. Then a couple months back I got thinking, 'I wish they would re-release some of the games I played in Junior High and High School.' So I did some looking. Imagine my surprise on finding one of the greatest games ever and one of my personal favorites was released. This has got to be the single best game ever made. I don't care if the graphics are dated or people don't understand it. It's just plain great. Now I do wish I could save my progress, but that's a minor complaint. I'm remembering a lot of the secrets so I can get through the levels fairly quickly. I just got this today, but give me a couple weeks, I'll be going from beginning to end in a sitting.
"A true classic everyone should experience", Not much can be said that hasn't already been said about this all time video gaming classic. For those of you whose original NES will no longer function, despite all of your cartridge blowing and tapping, this serves as a valid substitute.
As far as I can tell, this is the same game that was originally released on the NES. There are no "special features" that are so often included with re-releases. Personally, I prefer it that way but some folks don't. Veteran gamers can relive the magic while new gamers can experience the classic for the first time.
Although this was designed for the Game Boy Advance, you can also play it on your TV if you have a "Game Boy Player", an accessory for the Game Cube. As of this writing, though, the Game Boy Player is discontinued so you'll have to find one used.
"A FANTASTIC GAME!", I'm 12 years old, and it's been a long time since i picked up my GBA. Since I don't own a NES, I have not played the orignal "Super Mario Bros." Now I was looking online and I found this! This was my chance to play the orignal. But I know that the GBA can play original and color game boy games, I looked a little more. I found a game for the game boy color called "Super Mario Bros. Deluxe", which has this 1985 classic on it. So, it's still a great game, but you can get for cheap by buyng "Deluxe".
"Pretty much the same as the original", I'll keep my review to the point:Super Mario Bros. for the GBA is generally no different than the original. After the GBA logo thing goes away there's a split second of black them the title screen. You press start to start playing then you go on a jumping,goomba-squashing spree. Everything is exactly where it was and plays the same.A=jump,B=run+fire balls,Start=pause.Like all Classic Nes Series games, the screen is a little squished because of the change from the T.V to th GBA.So when you're playing it it MIGHT feel a little different. The game might change in difficulty because both the control and the screen are in you're hand.Pretty much the same.HOWEVER, there are a couple of differences as nothing could be the same.First, if you hold L+R a menu will pop up,so you can basically pause the game ANY time with this feature. The menu includes: continue, save high score, reset, linked play, and sleep mode. The other change is that whem you beat the game, you could save with the option to save your high score. Also when you beat the game, koopas move faster and goombas turn into buzzy beatles that follow you when they touch something to make the game harder. So,DON"T SAVE WHEN YOU BEAT THE GAME to avoid this.Basically, it's the same game, with a few new features
You might need this...

"This is one of my favorite games!", My sister and I loved to play Nintendo when we were younger. This is one of my favorite games and I really love it!
"Super Mario Bros.", I purchased the game for my 9 year old daughter. She is extremely pleased with game.
"Remember the 80's", Honestly I bougth this game for my son, who is 4 years old. However, when I was a teen, I had played in the nes console.
"A blast from the past", This game brought back soo many memories. I don't know how to play any of the newer games, so I bought this one to teach my daughter how to use her gameboy. I found myself still playing after my girls had gone to bed. My daughter and I play together frequently.
"Kicks A**", This game kicks some serious A**. I have been playing this game since 1985. I was 4 yrs old when this game first came out. I am now nearly 23 yrs old. I still love this game. I remember where are the secret items are like 1-ups. I guess I managed to remember the secrets to this game because I played like it was going out of style growing up. This game rocks!!
