"I've had this mouse about a year now"
It's really great and I haven't had any problems at all with it. There are probably newer mice out now that are better but this one is still a great upgrade over most mice that come with a new computer.

"Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin!"
Initially I balked at the thought of paying more than $15 for a mouse (this was back when you would have to pay $50 for this model.) and considered it for a long time. My biggest thing is that it has to be able to multitask and whether I'm in a video game or surfing the web, ALL buttons must function. Period. Having decided to upgrade to "gamer" equipment, that too caught my eye.
Upon arrival I thought that perhaps the shape might pose a problem, as I was used to the rounded-dome mice. It fit comfortably and snuggly in to my hands and all buttons were within easy reach. I have never had an issue with it being unresponsive or jumping around that wasn't solved by removing a stray cathair from underneath the optical sensor. It has gone strong through 3 moves and 2 years worth of gaming and the only thing that bugged me was the pads on the bottom wearing down and wearing off.
I adore this thing. It has become virtually indispensible when I am online with MMORPGs, allowing me to save moving my hands to different parts of the keyboard to strike hotkeys that were taken over by buttons on the mouse (and I didn't have to program them, to boot, it naturally picked up some of the more useful commands!)
I like this thing so much that when my last one met with an unfortunate orange-juice incident that warped the left click and stuck the back and forward buttons above the thumb, I immediately went out and tried to find another one. I'm glad I did, as I find this to be an incredibly reliable and useful mouse, and I have not once regretted the money I spent on it.

"Great, but..."
This mouse is great except for one major flaw. I haven't heard of it anywhere else but it has happened on 3 different computers. After having the mouse/computer on for extended periods of time, when I turn it off and then back on later, the optical light will not turn back on. It takes from a few minutes to several hours, usually the latter. Ruined the mouse for me...

"Great Mouse!"
I love this mouse. I have owned it for a couple years now, and haven't bothered to changed to anything else, and if I did, I would just upgrade to the laser version of this same product. It fits perfectly in my hand, has many useful buttons, and I really prefer it to my other mice (which includes a MS Wireless Intellimouse Explorer, etc)

"Good mouse!"
Stylish, responsive, high resolution, good contours, and button location. I have one at the office and at home. Very satisfied.

What our customer's say!

"Perfect gaming mouse", I love this mouse the fact that you can change the sensitivity on the fly helps alot. I would have want the thumb buttons to be placed a bit different but still pretty good.

"The best darn mouse I've ever owned", I've had this mouse for about 3 years now, and I have to say that it has served me well. I don't do much gaming but I do use the mouse to work in Photoshop, which requires some level of precision.

Pros: Speedy response time, optical reliability, forward and back
buttons, useful scroll wheel, looks cool with my black case.

Cons: Doesn't work at all on a glass desktop, 'alt-tab' button doesn't
work in Vista, finger prints show up on glossy surface really
easily.

Overall: I love this mouse! It replaced my stock mouse on my last
computer and has stayed with me for this last system build.
I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!

"MX510", Personally it was too big and my hand got tired easily due to high angle curvature. Optical sensor was good but the cord was bit annoying. Overall average mouse. Changed to wireless laser mouse.

"An absolute must!!!", Never had a better mouse!!! I changed more than 40-50 mice (both at work and at home), from many manufacturers (Microsoft, Logitech, IBM, HP, Razer...) and I kept this one for the last three years without a single problem. Works flawlessly, perfect, even after years of heavy pounding of CounterStrike, Half-Life2, DOOM3, and other FPSs. I changed for these three years three computers (two desktops and one laptop) and the ONLY thing of all accessories that I kept was this mouse.

I bought recently Logitech's G5, This mouse rocks, but it's not nearly close to its predecessor MX-510, so I moved G5 to work, and kept sweet MX-510 at home. If you have any doubts whether to buy it or not, DON'T. After couple of minutes using this gem you will be assured that you made good choice.

"Nice mouse some problems", nice feel and balance, mine did break after about 12 months but thats some very heavy use... to be honest the mouse still "worked" but at detail work it had trouble sensing my movement. Switched to another logitech and put this one on an old PC still pretty happy with it.

"Perfect after 2 years and many drops", You can find out how it feels, but the reliability is really important. I'm a gamer and I've been using this mouse for 2 years. Buttons click like they always did, and I've dropped the mouse more than a dozen times (desk to floor) and it has not been damaged in any way!!

"Still going strong!", I ordered this item back in 2005 and am still very pleased with it! Works very well, no maintenance like the mice with the 'ball' in the bottom. LOVE the wheel scroller! If you can get past the fact that the buttons on the side (back and forward buttons) are easy to hit unintentionally, it's a great mouse. Fits my hand very well, especially since I have carpal tunnel. Angled well so as to be comfortable to use. I've had no need for the gel wrist rest that I had to use with my former mouse. Looks nice, too!

I'm strongly considering purchasing another to use in my office at work, even at my own expense. :) After using this one so long, I absolutely HATE to use a 'regular' mouse. LOL

"Scroll wheel broken", For whatever reason, the scroll wheel stopped working about a month in. That's not a good thing, as a scroll wheel is extremely important for gaming. Dunno if it's an isolated problem, but I'm definitely not buying a Logitech mouse for a while.

"Wonderful Mouse", If not for an annoying clicking noise that it developed after about 6 months of use, thsi would still be my main mouse and would not have been banished to my laptop case for travelling.
I suffered using my touchpad on my laptop for a month while I tried to find a store that actually had these in stock. Everyones shelves were bare and after reading tons of favorable reviews, I knew this was the mouse for me. There was a noticable difference in accuracy betwenn a standard Logitech mouse and this gaming mouse.
Again, if not for the annoying click, I'd still be using this full time. I can't really slight the mouse, I just got a lemon. But only 4 stars because "I" got the lemon (take that Logitech!).
The Logitech gaming mice are worth the extra $10-20 over a standard mice if you game or need a precsion mouse.

"works great", works great. amazon disappointed me a bit though, because less than a week after my purchase the price dropped by almost half.
