Others say...
"Many Twists and Turns" This was the first Law and Order game that I played and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It came with a bonus copy of Law and Order: Dead on the Money and I think they have made a lot of improvements in Justice is Served. Besides just looking better, I like that they have cut down the time it takes for the labs to process stuff. There are many different characters to interview and puzzles to solve along the way, and the story does have many twists.
However, there still are some problems with the game. The first is that in order to get a search or arrest warrant, you have to have to know exactly which evidence backs it up -- a lot of the time I felt like some evidence was important but the makers of the game apparently did not agree. This was also a problem in the trial part of the game.
And of course, as with all games like this, this is really a one play game unless you just want to see if you can get a higher score.
"Great game" This game puts you in an episode of L&O. The actors voices are used, the script is great and the game flow is good. This is the best of the L&O game series.
They took out the timing criteria from the previous games so now you can take your time and investigate every clue. Less bugs. More enjoyable. Get the game!
"The game does not load" I think I would really enjoy palying the games but I can never get them to load on my computer. I have bought three Law and Order games now and all have not worked in some fashion or the other. I have, since the first game I purchased, purchased a new Dell so it is not my computer. I am by no means a computer wizard but I certinaly no how to install a game. I am very disapointed in Legacy Interactive software.
"Just Not As Much Fun" I liked the first two games much better than this one. This one was more frustrating, it just didn't "flow". I would often run out of things to ask people and would have to look at an on-line walk through, which I hate to do. It usually ended up being some silly thing I missed, but would have never thought of and/or didn't seem logical thing to do. The game didn't seem to have any sequence, like the others, and felt very "mixed up". The puzzles varied from very easy to medium difficulty. The dialog was very annoying, your partner constantly comments on every little thing, and I mean EVERY LITTLE THING! There were a few bugs in the game, freezing, jumping, etc. The graphics I did not feel were as good as the prior games and some of the characters voices were much lower than others. The plot was good, but again, not as much fun as the other 2 games. If you like the series, it's worth playing once, but don't expect it to be better than the first 2.
"Solid, entertaining game that plays like a TV episode!" The third of three L&O games this one comes with new features such as the 'Tell me about ...' feature that allows for a broader questioning phase (like you have person (or evidance) on file that you want to know more about you can ask witnesses about it), and does away with the detective strength/weaknesses that was part of the early games. This makes for a smooth, fluent entertaining game that gives you the feeling of being inside the TV show. This is the best game of the three as it has quite a few challenging puzzles, more witnesses and less patches to be downloaded (!!) The bonus disks of 'Dead on the Money' work fine if you already have 'Law and Order II: Double or Nothing' installed on your computer. If not, you will need to download the patches off the offical webpage in order to play the bonus game. Also, in response to another review on this webpage, the time limit given in the bonus game can be turned off if at the beginning of the game you choose 'Efficiency' as one of your detective/lawyer strengths. The countdown is MUCH slower.

What our customer's say!
"I think I'll rather wash the dishes.", Having played Law and Order: Double or Nothing, I was looking forward to the next part entitled Law and Order: Justice Is Served. I notice a few changes: new usage of cell phone, replaced actors/actresses, a change of inventory buttons, a different way of questioning, and longer game play. For that latter part, that's where the fault lies. The longer Law and Order: Justice Is Served is, the more boring it gets. I actually forgot what the case was all about during the sleuthing, and I forgot who Elena was. That's how boring the game actually was. There were too much point-and-click, ridiculous puzzles, and too much subplots that had me going in a Labyrinth maze. I got tired of some dead end moments, so I resorted to a strategy guide to get me through to the end because I didn't have the heart to care about the game, just wanted to beat it and move on. All in all, Law and Order: Justice Is Served turned out to be chore that is no fun. As for the CD, it worked well for me except for a couple of occasional shutdowns, so I had to save the game from time to time just in case. One odd thing occured during the lawyer part where Missus breaks and enters (or is it unbreaks and enters?) in a storage space rented by an individual, ain't that against the law and not to mention unethical? I noticed a spelling mistake by the lawyer during the case: judgement instead of judgment. Come on, this is poor.
"Really fun!!", I had a lot of fun playing this game!! For people who like this kind of game it's worth it!!
"Ok Game", Something tells me being on the show isn't as difficult as playing this game. The controls are sloppy, there's no easy way just to get into the game and play, you have to jump through some serious hoops to get far in this game.
"to slow", this game a lot bugs and freezes new computer found paches in net its worth the price.
"I Love This Game!!", I purchased this game on a whim while actually looking for another software package totally unrelated to games. Since I am a major fan of Law and Order, I decided to try it. I waited a week or more before I had time to look at the game and from then on I was hooked. Since them, I have purchased all 3 Law and Order games and would recommend them to anyone who enjoys mystery games. This game was so engrossing that my entire family was playing it with me for hours.
There were some places where you could get stuck for hours, but it made it all the more challenging for me. I am going to wait for a few months and play it again to see if I can do better on my score.

"I liked the old versions better!", This game is WAAAY too short. They took alot out from the last 2 and IMO it just wasn't as fun. They really should have had 2 cases going on at once with some link to each other in the end if they were planning on making it shorter than the other 2.
Mine came with a free copy of Dead on the Money... I wonder if they did that to apologize in advance...
"horrible!", after playing the CSI games, i guess i'm spoiled. the graphics with Law and Order are pretty good, but navigating throughout the rooms gives me a headache, the instructions and hints are vague and worthless, and the case itself is boring. i unstalled it without even obtaining a search warrant.
"Best of the Bunch!!", I have been playing adveture games for years and was a big fan of the Law and Order show when the first of these games came out and was really impressed by that game. Of course there were some kinks, which is why I like this game the best in the series.
Just like the first two games, this new one does a great job of capturing the feeling of the show. The graphics are realistic and I loved that they use the voices of the actors on the show for the characters. It makes you feel like your in one of the episodes. I just wish they had used Sam Waterson's character. It took me about 14 hours to finish Justice is Served, mostly because there are more puzzles. (This game seemed longer than the last two.)
I've played other mystery/detective computer games before, but I think the Law & Order series is the best of the bunch!!
"Just didn't care for it", My review has mild spoilers.
I've never played the first two L&O games so I cannot compare Justice is Served with them but I can compare it to other adventure games. I didn't find the game interesting at all and I thought it was really cumbersome. Unless I missed something, in order to save a game the player has to access the Menu, select Save, choose a spot for the game (there were only about a dozen save slots), press Save which brings up the Menu again and then select Resume Game. That's an awful lot of steps when you're like me and saving every couple minutes. There is no autosave feature which would have made the process easier.
But the whole "Save" issue wouldn't be a big deal if I had liked the game. I just didn't find it interesting to spend most of the game asking people questions. Many questions/answers led to a new location to visit but when you get there there isn't much to do - minimal exploration (you find only a few hotspots and not all on them are relevant) and the puzzles are incredibly easy. Find something locked and you'll find the answer on an item you found at a hotspot - almost always at the same location you find the puzzle. The only puzzle I had a problem with was a musical one.
I got as far as the court room but the accused ended up being acquitted and I just didn't care enough to return to a saved game and retry the case. For me there just wasn't enough content to make the game interesting. I had just finished playing Myst III before playing Justice is Served so it is rather difficult to top that for gameplay.
"Good work - best of the three!", A good job, and a lot of fun. These games just get better and better!
Game play is smooth and intelligent, except for the irritatingly small number of saved game slots. Writing and acting are both topnotch, with three of the actors from the series doing voice work. Graphics are good and have improved dramatically, to the point where the characters' expressions match the emotion in their voices. Puzzles are mostly well-integrated into the plot; a few are a little unlikely, but since none of the puzzles are too difficult, I'm not going to fuss.
The time and space constraints that made the first two games so frustrating are completely gone, and you no longer have to choose whether you want to be smart or fast because you can't be both. It's really refreshing to see a game series that takes out the bad and leaves the good stuff -- thanks, guys!
Well worth your time whether you're a fan of the show or not.
