"Its only for MAC"
The product packaging fails to mention that it is made for Mac's only. I purchased it and had to return it.




"Good camera but EXTRA SOFTWARE PURCHASE REQUIRED FOR MAC USE"
This is a great little camera and a good value for what you get. That said, if you have a Mac, you MUST *BUY ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE*. It should only be $5, but this isn't stated anywhere on the packaging - you may figure this out only after troubleshooting why it won't work with iChat/Skype. A good value for a little flexible, portable camera, but be aware that there's an additional cost involved.

"Put Yourself on ICEcam!!!"
This is a great little camera and very easy to set up. I immediatlly started using it and talked with a good friend in S. California (and I'm in Portland, OR. This is a GREAT little unit for the money>

"Only option for Macs without USB 2.0"
I have a 12" powerbook from 2003 which has only USB 1.1 and Firewire-- no USB 2.0 ports and no ability to upgrade. I found that this was the only webcam option for me. The picture isn't great, but it is easy to use and it works. Even the Apple store no longer carries a Firewire webcam and every other Mac webcam I found required a USB 2.0 port. I'm very happy to have found this camera (the third one I purchased). Maybe this will be of help to someone with the same computer.

"Not good for movement"
The update speed of this camera is horrible. Any movement at all results in a massive blur. Great camera for remote monitoring of potted plants. I returned it for a Logitech, which was at least usable if nowhere near as good as my MacBook's built-in camera.

"Poor Quality, Doesn't Work With Skype", The options are bleak if you're looking for a USB web cam for Macs these days, so I reluctantly gave this one a shot. The image quality is terrible -- it's extremely grainy and of poor contrast even in good lighting conditions. Furthermore, it doesn't work with Skype -- even with the help of the iUSBCam software. A complete waste of $30.

"Waste of money~ doesn't do a darn thing", Absolute POS waste of money. Do not, under any circumstances, purchase this if you have a mac and want to use YIM. It will crash as soon as someone connects to see you, or within a few seconds thereafter. It would have been better to burn the $25... at least it would have produced a little bit of heat and light.

"Some work, some don't", I bought 2 and had to send 2 back before I could get us both working -- and even now sometimes the system just locks up and I have to quit the chat program and launch it again.

Tech support is great!

"Amazing web-cam", The camera is very easy to install and use. We can talk to our son out west and look into his eyes. Wonderful technology.

"Good for Skype", This camera works well for Skype but as most if not all of you know, Ichat is a different beast all together, since I was looking for an inexpensive way to video conference via Skype I'm fairly happy w/ this but the picture quality isn't the greatest. At around $33.00 including shipping I cannot complain. Alls well that ends well.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Good as a basic camera", I've been very pleased with the camera's quality. The picture tends to be fuzzy the further away you are from the camera, so you need to keep your face within 2-3 feet of it to get the best picture possible. The bendable neck is very helpful. Overall, the camera isn't high-end, but it definitely gets the job done for a reasonable price. If you're looking for a basic camera to talk to friends and family with for a good price, get this one.

"Best and easiest option so far!!!", I have tried to use 3 or 4 different webcams and by far this was the easiest one to set up. Considering the price, it makes this item the best I have seen of any of them out there.
