Others say...
"Some improvements over Yugi, but still room to grow" In my review of Yugi, I had pointed out some problems with that title that made the game go stale rather quickly: no increase in Yugi's playing level, rather limited number of cards, relatively poor AI, and repetitive dialogue that you can't shut off. So, would the next game in the series address these issues and become a real improvement on the original?
The final verdict: a mixed bag. Kaiba does increase his skill and deck level as you make upgrades in your deck, so he makes for a more formidable opponent. Not only do you have access to all the cards you accumulated in the Yugi game (and can immediately substitute them in the rather-weak starter deck you first receive) but you also can win cards from an additional trove that comes with the Kaiba game (over 300 total between the two). The AI is far better, as well; Kaiba rarely makes the more horrendous errors that Yugi does--though he can still have his "duh" moments.
So what wasn't improved? For one thing, there isn't a way of tracking your progression or playing level except by the number of new cards you've won. You can tell that Kaiba is playing with tougher cards, but there's no "rating" system that really lets you see that in any tangible way. And there are limits to how much improvement Kaiba makes. Hence, while it may take longer before you reach the "ho hum, we've done all this before" stage than it does with Yugi, you can eventually reach that point (though Kaiba will still give you more of a challenge than Yugi). Also, there's the "repetitive dialogue that gets old quickly" problem still present, and still no way to shut it off. Finally (and perhaps a little picky here) the music in this game is rather lame. The opening title sounds more appropriate to a duel with Dracula than with Kaiba, and the duel music sounds like it was performed by someone who's seen an electronic keyboard before, but never actually used one. (I do like the "rock-paper-scissors" music, though.)
Overall, Kaiba is an improvement over Yugi, but it still has room for some significant improvements.
"Programmers forgot some major details" Love to play the game, with the same exceptions noted by others (the dialog gets old very very quickly and no you cannot shut it off - jeez)
The biggest problem I have with this game is that running under windows 2000, even though I followed all of the advice in the tech support site, I cannot load my saved decks after I log off and log back on.
I cannot justify playing a game that is so difficult to build a deck when you cannot successfully save and retrieve the deck. This problem makes the fun game into a pile of junk.
" A nice addition to the saga" Being a previous fan of Dual Monsters I of course had to check this game out. I do agree with others that posted a review, the repeat of dialogue does get old fast.. but.. nothing that would make me want to stop playing. The interesting thing about this game is that Kaiba will adjust his deck as you upgrade yours. Making him a continual challenge ! This game links with both "Yugi the Destiny" and "Joey the Passion" which is very nice. I can win cards in 'Joey' or 'Yugi' and they show up in the Kaiba version, which makes the headache of building your deck much easier. I highly recommend buying the other 2 versions within the 'power of chaos' series to get the full effect of this game. All 3 in the series offer different features. The main one being that the 'Joey' version allows you to dual against others connected on your network (ie.. only within your house or computers you link together =( .. but still a very nice addition. Also .. 'Joey the Passion' unlike Kaiba , will actually use decks seen on the television show. For example, he used Weeble's deck a couple of times and wooped me pretty good. All in all I give Kiaba the Revenge a 4 out of 5 star rating. 4 stars vs 5 mainly because of the repetition of dialogue and the fact that they should have implemented the online play earlier. Still.. it's worth the purchase.
P.S. If you want to experience the same type of gameplay with an added bonus of being able to play against ALL the popular characters of the show... I recommend Eternal Dualist Soul, or World Wide Edition, the Gameboy Advanced version of this Dual Monsters game.
"Another Great Game" I've had this game for MONTHS now & still enjoy playing it. I did a review for the first Power of Chaos (Yugi the Destiny) & believe it was great for newbies. This game is a definite improvement & continuation of the first. There are a ton of new cards & I've learned the fine art of putting together different types of decks. My son (who I mention in my other review) loves Exodia, so he always plays that deck. I pretty much play with all the decks I've created. The A.I. is still not too hard, I've been beating Kaiba steadily since our first duel. So again any experienced duelist will have no problems with this game. But experimenting with different cards & putting together new decks is fun. Of course just like Yugi, Kaiba says the same phrases over & over so it will get annoying. (turn the sound off) But overall I enjoy this game & believe that anyone looking to learn how to play Yu-Gi-Oh but doesn't have the time or money to put into buying tons of cards, should start here. Or at least start with the Yugi version & continue here. I'm definitely going to get the Joey version.
"DRAGON" IT IS REALLY FUN YOU GET TO DUEL KAIBA AND HE PULLS ALL SORTS OF COOL TRICKS. THE DOWNSIDE IS THAT IT GETS IRRITATING WHEN HE SAYS THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OWER AND HE SOMETIMES DOES REALLY DUMB MOVES. THE GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME THOUGH. OVERAL THIS IS A GREAT GAME. I WISH IT HAD MULTYPLAYER IT WOULD BE AWESOME.

What our customer's say!
"Kaiba Klutz...", I bought Yu-Gi-Oh! Power Of Chaos:Kaiba The Revenge about a week ago and it came in the mail several days earlier than I thought it would! Anyways,I ordered the Yugi The Destiny version as well but that one has yet to arrive...however,I played the Kaiba one several times and can beat him with ease more often than I lose thanks to his stupid "Blue Eyes" so I'm a little curious on how Yugi will fare against me since Yugi ALWAYS beats Kaiba in a duel but I do realize that Kaiba may wield a few "Blue Eyes" and one EXTREMELY powerful Ultimate Dragon version of his "Blue Eyes" but on the flip-side to that coin is that Yugi has possession of Exodia(THANK GOODNESS THERE'S NO GOD CARDS TO WORRY ABOUT OR YOU'D BE AT THE MERCY OF A PENDING ATTACK OF SLIFER IN YUGI'S CASE OR OBELISK IN KAIBA'S!so I'm prepared for anything but at least Yugi may very well have some manners since Kaiba insists on calling his competition a "dog" OR "mutt" but oh well! That's Kaiba 'til the end for ya! I didn't care for the Kaiba version since he's got such an obnoxious voice let alone a poor personality but a hilarious one at that...the music sounds like drills going into your teeth at a dentist's office but needless to say that the title screen music would make better for the CastleVania series for all fans of CastleVania, you'll know what I mean. The title screen music could also qualify for being recorded/burned for music to play during the much anticipated upcoming Halloween night which may and may not spook out some young trick-or-treaters! Anyways,if you like Kaiba then all I have to say is God Bless You but I hate Kaiba! To all that LOVE Kaiba, enjoy!
PS I'd like to see more versions out of Yu-Gi-Oh! Power Of Chaos as I've got a few ideas right now: Rex Raptor The Rampage,Weevil The Sting, Bakura The Darkness(I'd like to see what would happen IF you lose to Bakura since he'd more often than not would send your soul to The Shadow Realm for certain IF you did lose...THAT WOULD MAKE HIM EXTREMELY HAPPY SINCE HE'S ONLY WON ONCE...I BELIEVE IT WAS TO BONZ,THOUGH.),etc. *J.Allen* **Ryou Bakura Girl** (^_^) *~_~*
"A very good game", This is a very good game because it helps a lot for those who don't understand the duel monsters game.
The game graphics are good, the music is OK and the cards in the game have very good effects. It's a shock to suddenly see the Cyber Jar on the field and having all of your monsters destroyed!!
This game helped me to learn a lot and I am a pretty good duelist now. It even includes an update for Yugi The Destiny. The update makes better decisions and makes Yugi even better. Also, if you have both games, you can bring more cards into the game and make Kaiba's Revenge bigger and badder!
I recommend this game to any Yu-Gi-Oh! fan.
"Dont buy it", Do not buy it!! First of all i have win2000 and after contacting tech support they could not help me.
-CONS-
-First of all you can save your deck, but you can NOT load it. -The dialogue is repetative and boring. -The theme music sounds more like you are having a duel with dracula. -the duels are repetative and it is so easy to beat Kiaba.
If I were you, I would keep the money and spend it on Yu-Gi-Oh! Online instead. It is a much better game than Kaiba the Revenge and is worth your money.
"The Non-Save Game!", This game seemed to be very hard but we worked our way through the challenges to build a pretty good deck. The problem is that you cannot save and reload the deck. Each time you open the game you start for scratch! Way too frustrating for kids under 10 years old! Big disappointment!
"Very good game, got me to like the show, exactly.", I've read some of the reviews of this game and the Yugi and Joey game and if all anybody can say is that they get sick of the repetitive dialogue, then you are stretching.
I am in my mid 30's and I simply love these games. All three have their own dueling patterns (actually, I think Joey is the strongest. He switches up a lot and uses a lot of theme decks. He is also the king of powerups and defense, in my opinion).
Kaiba is straight up, a beatdown master. I love playing with him because he enhances his deck when you do and he knows when to play cards like Raigeki and the Blue-Eyes.
And as far as repetitive dialogue, everytime he says "I'll activate my spell card", I get nervous.

"Cool all I can say it has something bad", I think this is a great game it has 3 cards and they are cooool!! You can play versus Kaiba and he changes his deck when you do so you wont get bored. I wish it had the following things Multiplayer/more duilest/3d graphics/and the EGC's
"Good game", This game is very fun but the cards that come with it one card is the new rare version of blue eyes white dragon and two monsters i never even heard of but it still a great game
"great game", Great game. Kaiba talks and is pretty good. Who cares if there is only one druelist. kaiba changes his deck when you change yours. easy way to change your deck and a tutorial to show you combos with cards. it also has 300 new cards and can be used with Yugi the Destiny. it also come with 3 limited edition cards. Blue-eyes white dragon, Seal of the Ancients (pay 1000 life points to pick up and see all face down cards your apponent has on the field), and aqua chorus which isnt that good. great game you should buy it
"nice game but could of been better", i only give it 3 stars because mosty it needs to be multiplayer and needs more computer players with more things to say then the samething over and over. other then that its a great game. they fix this then it will be a 5 star game...
"All I Can say is WOW!!!", This game just plain absolutely rocks! Stunning graphics, new cards, new voices, and so much worth the money, even if it costed over onehundred dollars, i would still buy it!!! PHENOMENAL!!!
