"A Reveiw of this GOOD Game" Well, to start with, this game is pretty good. It could have been better. As a matter of fact, a company called 969, or somthin' made a almost identical game (on PS2, etc.). I played that game and compared it with this game (which I also own). I find the other more enjoyable. However this game is, in some ways, better than the other game. For one thing, it has online play. Online play is great: you get to face a real team. The graphics are excellent. The player almost look real. The crowd could have been better. Unlocking rewards are way too easy. I unlocked them all (equalling about, maybe 50 rewards) in a month! There are many modes: Dynasty, Exibition, Pither Showdown, Homerun Showdown, Senerio, etc. A regular game takes about a hour if you skip all the replays and everythin'. All in all MVP is good game. It's getting old, though (the year 2005 is 'round the corner) so buy it fast and beat it fast!

"Where's Bonds" I'm not a computer game player but my love of baseball got me into it. There's only one thing wrong, EA forgot to have Barry Bonds playing for anyone let alone the Giants. There is a player for the Giants (Dowd) that can be edited to become Bonds. Overall, it must be a good game if I can sit there for days on end winning World Series after World Series in 'Dynasty Mode'.

What our customer's say!
"SO COOL", I LUV Dynasty Mode...and the "Classic Stadiums" option was the greatest ever. I've always wondered what it would feel like to have a 2004 game played and/or broadcast at Crosley Field or Shibe Park (Cincinnati and Philly for you younger rhubarb fans). I have played as the Twins and have had Morneau and Hunter both hit more than 30 HR's before the All-Star break. What's this about Left Handed batters not hitting taters? BAH! The graphics are hands down the greatest. The fans are still a little thin, but EA is making strides to ensure the baseball stadiums are as lively as the ones in Madden. Give it time..at least MLB bleacher creatures are clapping their hands and you can see some of them in FUBU-like jerseys.
"AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", I LIKE IT!!!!! THATZ Y I HAV THIS IN CAPS! BASEBALL FANS, GET IT, NO QWESCHON!!
"Fun but Frustrating", First off, as far as computer games go this one is pretty good. The graphics are excellent, the menu's are easy to use. But there are some serious kinks in this game. Left-hand batters no matter what their power, rarely hit homeruns. In dynasty mode, players retire for no reason, and many minor leaguers simply disappear. If you don't have one of the 3 or 4 supported gamepads/controllers yours won't work with this game, and using the keypad presents major difficulties, like not being able to lead off, slide, or swing and control runners at the same time. Despite these deficiencies the gameplay is excellent, the difficulty levels and dynasty mode provide great challenges, and their are fun bells and whistles which add to the fun. I would buy it, but don't expect perfection.
"Worst baseball game I've ever played", I've been a longtime fan of the High Heat and Baseball Mogul games, and this was my first experience with the MVP Baseball series. It's definitely going to be my last. While the graphics are great, the controls are completely unamanagable, the gameplay is absurdly unrealistic (everytime anybody throws a pitch over the plate, it's either hit for a double or a home run) and the Dynasty mode is horrific. There's no way to search for players or prospects at all! While the multiple levels of teams and the rookie draft are nice, the rest of this game is awful. Don't waste your time.
"Controller Problems", Great game, but Logitech Rumblepad 2 don't work with it. got the controller for the game but it doesn't work, and you can't play it well with the keyboard

"Fun...but hard to control", this game is great. i love the dynasty mode and the way that you can unlock legendary players. The problem for me is that, while playing with a keyboard it seems that it is so much different from playing with a controller. I can never hit homeruns and it is impossible to control the types of slides with the keyboard. Also, at times it is quite hard to get on base, but when your team starts hitting they can score 10 runs in an inning. I'm a huge Giants fan, and without Barry Bonds in this game...it is kind of dissapointing. Team Chemistry and Player Happyness is a interesting, realistic, but also fustraiting part of the game. Overall, this is one of the best sports games that i have ever played and i am literally addicted to it.
"MVP Baseball", I think this game is the the best baseball game ever. Cool graphic, online play, and the new Easy Swing System and EA Big Play Controls all mix in to make a great game any baseball fan would love to play!
"Decent but flawed", My complaints would be it's seems to run hot and cold. Sometimes you cannot buy a hit, other times you can hit like there is no tomorrow. Had one game recently where the score was 0-0 going into the ninth, The visting team scored 4 runs and then I turned around and scored 5 runs in the bottom of the inning. Good for me but a little unrealistic. Also a lot of times when the runners go past home they do not touch the base but score anyway. Turning double plays seems a little sluggish. Also too many replays although you can skip over them.
On the plus side the Sim option is great. You can play portions of games. Like that because I like batting more than pitching. Still getting used to the Dynasty mode. Ended up spending too much money and had to let computer take over for me. Overall a decent but flawed game. It is fun but overall it could be better.
"MVP Baseball 2004", It is very fun, beacuse it is cool, fantastic, and I can get miliions of homeruns.
"Great game with a few modifications.", The last reviewer needs to get a gamepad and quit whining. You dont play EA Sports games with a keyboard. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Get a Saitek P880 or the 2500 with force feedback to really enjoy the game with all its features. Be sure to download the great mods people have done including the most realistic stadiums yet. Get them at www.mvpmods.com. Also be sure to check out the MVP forums for game mod info and tips. This is a very solid and beautiful rendition of baseball. The pitching/batter interface is outstanding and the overall animations are incredible. You cant miss with this game. It does have some stat bugs in the season dynasty mode though, but that still doesnt take away from the great game this is. I cant wait to see what EA does next year to enhance MVP!
