"good but...", Is good for learning the sound of letters but I have to say that I was expecting an interactive game like the others leapster games. Is like a video to help kids the sound of the letters but not how to write it.

"Great Game!!", We boght this for my 2 year old daughter thinking it was something she could grow into. This has been the best game ever for her!! in a day or two of recieving it she was flying through it. Even thoug she could do it with her eyes closed now, she still enjoys sitting down and playing with it! Great buy!!

"Buy the video instead", I was disappointed to find this "game" to be more of a video. Since we already own the video, this has been a waste of money. Plus, very, very, little interaction. They can only play a game after each "chapter" of 4 or more letters. That's it, the only game option! It only asks a basic question, like, which letter says "Ahh" or which letter is "A"? IF YOU OWN THE MOVIE, DON'T BUY THIS GAME! I gave it 3 stars because my daughter loves it (just like bringing the movie everywhere)and it's been her favorite movie since she was 2 1/2 yrs old.

"My 2,5 Year Old Loves It", Yes, I know the recommended age bracket - but my 2.5 year old absolutely adores the DVD version and the Fridge Phonics product that LeapFrog produces. He also will snap up anything electronic because he sees that both his parents are constantly "wired". The Leapster and this cartridge seemed like a natural purchase and he's loved it.

He was already so familiar with the way LeapFrog teaches the alphabet that he had no problem working his way through the game. He's so proud of himself for being able to do it and, on top of us being terribly proud of him, it keeps him entertained while reinforcing his learning.

"Reading and writting at its best for early learning", Leapster is a wonderful, durable and entertaining product for young children. The Letter factory cartridge has kept my 5 year old grand daughter captivated, entertained and enhancing her basic reading skills for hours. with a school teacher mother, of reading skills, this module has passed the test with full marks. Battery life is excellent. The unit survives the beating of a two year old sister without a hitch.

"Great!!!", My girls love it. They've watched it over and over again!!! Very pleased.

"Great game and it's educational too!", I purchased a Leapster for my 4 yr. old son not really knowing what it does. All I knew is that Leapfrog makes great products and it was at a really great price before Christmas. What a find! My son absolutely loves The Letter Factory. In fact, he chooses it over Dora and Nemo. He is learning his letters and identifying words that start with each letter. It goes in the car, to the grocery store, and it is great for some mommy time. Being a Kindergarten teacher it is important to me that my child is not just sitting around playing some meaningless video game. Not only do I purchase Leapfrog for my child but I also purchase it for my classroom.

"Buy the DVD instead", Other than asking the kids which letter makes the " " sound, this is just a video. We have the Letter Factory series of DVD's and my 3 and 5 year olds have learned their letter sounds from them. (The DVD's are great by the way). My kids show absolutely no interest in watching the movie on this game. The game itself is barely a game.

"LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT", My 5 year old daughter got this game as a gift. Within 3 days of playing it she had ALL of her letter sounds down. I am very impressed by the fact she was able to learn so quickly.

"One of the best educational videos", A friend of mine had purchased this video for her 1 1/2 year old. In no time she knew most of the letters and the sounds they made. I thought I would try it with my son, who is the same age. In just a short time, while watching this video in the car when we went places, he learned all of his letters and the sounds they made. I encourage any parent to purchase leapfrog videos for their little ones. This not only helped my two year old learn his letters, but helped my five year old learn to read. I don't like to see my children watch a lot of tv but leapfrog videos are an exception, they are great!
