"Best Controller for Wii (GC & Virtual Games), Best Also for Gamecube" The Wii classic controller is a bit awkward and hard to use. Although it has an advantage of being wireless, you still need to attach it to the Wiimote (where it dangles like the Nunchuk). This is more of an issue when you play older Gamecube games and downloadable virtual games when you need to press a combination of buttons to run and jump at the same time. Too bad, the jump button (on the Wii classic controller) is far from the run button and much smaller than the original design. For these reasons, the original GC controller is still the preferable choice. I have used other 3rd party controllers and nothing can get close to the original Nintendo controller.
Pros: - Perfect response. The most annoying thing that some 3rd party controllers are notorious to is snapping back to the opposite direction when you wanted to have your Pacman or Mario guy turn right or left. - Perfect handgrip - rumble effect - Unlike the Nintendo "Wavebird", this is still available.
Cons: - Wired - Expensive, as Nintendo has almost abandoned the Gamecube console for Wii and very few are left.
"Love the Gamecube Controller" Nintendo did an awesome job designing the GameCube controller, I believe. The button placement, for me at least, is very natural, much more so than the Xbox controllers or the Dual Shock controllers. Of course, if you are looking at this you probably already own a GameCube, thus own a controller and have your own opinion.
This is the controller to buy though, you definitely want a Nintendo brand controller. Third party GameCube controllers, from companies other than Nintendo, tend to be lower quality and will not last nearly as long. It may cost a bit more for the Nintendo brand, but the quality is worth it.
"Nice Controller!!" This controller is excellent, it provides all the buttons and analog sticks (thank God). As other peoples reviews are saying, " I can't reach the Z button, the R and L are in a awkward position." Well, hold the controller right for goodnes sake. Now take my steps on how to hold a controller:
1. Hold your hands out 2. Turn them so the pointer fingers are pointing at each other. 3. Seperate the Thumb and Pointer finger from the three others. (Still using step 2) 4. Curve the three left-out fingers. 5. Put one thumb on the Analog Stick and the other on the A Button. 6. The other pointer fingers should be on the R and L Buttons with a closer click on the Z Button.
Hope it helped!
"It acts all crazy after you use it a long time!" I got my GameCube and this Controller, when I was 4. After 6 years of playing Video Games, the Controller acted all funny and stuff. It was acting weird, like the analog stick I wasn't moving but my character on the screen was walking into wall and boxes, without me moving the stick. I turned off the system and read the Instructions. I did what the Insrtuctions told me to do and everything was fine. Then it happened again in about the first 10 mins., I was playing. It was strange because it was working fine the day before that. So the Controller has like 4-7 years, when it starts acting strange.

What our customer's say!
"Gamecube controller, platinum", Great product, works great too. The only problem I had was that when I ordered it said the shipment would be trackable so I didn't worry, shipping was critical since it had to arrive before a certain date in order for me to receive it.... found out no tracking once purchased and all I was told, after communicating with the seller, was "don't worry it'll get there", which didn't help. It did arrive, at the last possible moment and under the wire and I would have been more comfortable if I had been told the truth. Don't promise something if it will not be done, is all.
"Kinda awkward but good for Soul Calibur 2! ^_^", We logged in countless amounts of time, sweat, tears and blood into that game! Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros. were loved also. Mario Kart: Double Dash was good for multi-player.
Overall, it's not that hard to use but I agree the Z button is kinda hard to reach at times. The layout isn't perfect but it's better than some say.
3.75 stars.

"Great Controller", I've been wanting to buy this GC controller so that i can play Super Smash Brothers Brawl on my Wii and it works perfectly. Not only that but now i can now purchase Wiiware and Virtual Console games that cannot be played by the wiimote alone. As we speak i am playing the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The controller has been marvelous and works great. Of course like many others might have stated in the past the only problem i have with it is the awkward placement of the Z button but other than that everything is fine. I would recommend it to everyone.
"3rd Party Gamecube Controller", As expected for a 3rd party product, the purchased controller lasted 1 day. I personally recommend to obtain an original controller manufactured by nintendo.

"AS CONTROLLERS GO, A GOOD ONE!", I recently purchased two more of these controllers so I could play with my grandson and there would always be an extra. Actually, since we also own a Wii I find that these controllers are easier for me to use than the Wii remotes are. I have never had any problems with mine although there are times I wish it were a little longer.
"This is a controller... not a game.", Anyway, this controller was shipped fast, was in the condition pre-described, and works perfectly. Would do business with again.
"Loving it !", It has a wing grip on the design, first-time user (like myself) might be awkward the holding it initially, but as you get used to play GCN games with this controller, it'll be tighten & firming control of it. What's more for this controller ? I use primarily for GCN games & Virtual Consoles (SNES/NES/N64) games for Wii. It is also long lasting & durable. Buy it !
"Gets the job done, BUT....", I have four of these hooked up to the Wii (primarily for Super Smash Bros. Brawl). The cords are a bit short for comfortable playing distaces - especially in front of a large-screen TV. I bought these because I've had some annoying experiences with clucky, cheaply made wireless controllers and their abysmal battery life. However, if I could choose again, I would go with the wireless ones: no cable clutter, and you can play from the couch instead of the floor.
"Good controller", I purchased this controller to use to play Smash Bros Brawl on wii and found it to be alot easier to use then the wii remotes or arcade controllers. I also chose to go with the cheapest 3-5 day shipping and it came on the third day after it had been processed, no problems at all.
