"Kick @$$ Game!!"
I LOVE the sims online...It's very addicting and not to hard to get the hang of. There are tons of people willing to help, especially at Newbies Job-Skill Center in Mount Fuji (A city you can choose to live in in the game). I HIGHLY Recommend it...and if you get on and are in Mount Fuji, and need help drop me (Megan-Beth) a message and I'll be more than willing to answer your questions!
"Good Concept, but Falls Short"
At first, TSO sounded like a great game. After I bought and played the game, however, it seems a little...well...pointless. You go around to other properties and make "money" by playing mini-games (that are strange, time consuming and not fun). Then you use the money to buy clothes, furninshings and building materials for a house. And then...not much happens after that. I wouldn't even categorize this as a game. There isn't really an obejct to it.
If you're considering buying the game to make friends and meet people, use AIM. TSO is the same concept except you see a fictional image of the person you're talking to. Not too exciting there. And all the interactions get really old after a few days...heck, the whole game gets old after a few days. Not to mention the monthly fee you have to pay to play. Definetly not worth it...
"The sims games"
It is a good game and keeps you occupied for hours. If you get bored with one family you can change it so that you have loads of different ones to play with. You can also make your own sims and choose their personality if you want to be original. Some sims are interesting and will get married and have babies but some are boring and are always depressed. It is a good game with thumbs up!

its ok. a little pay per month. My best and favorite part of the game is when you get money, money really important in the game. If your really want to save money if you just started, go ask sombody to to live with them like roommates. A. You can either just stay there and slack off. B. Or work around the house and get rich then move out and your roomate will start begging for you to stay then you say "no" Then help a newbie and they become rich then you start begging.

"havent put it down in 2 years", i play sims everyday. it has times when its boring; but its a good way to meet new people and i think its very addicting. its been updated a lot since this release though and u can probably find a newer version on its website (for free).

"Ten dollars a month FORGET IT", I'm truly a sims lover. I have every expantion pack and sims 2. I just recently got this game because I didn't have it and I saw advertisment on the back of some Sims games. It looked cool that you can talk to other people online and that you can make friends. Also you can share a house with a husband or a best friend. Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun right?? Well I got the game thinking that it was a lot of fun. When I opened it up and discovered something that was not said in the advertisements. If I wanted to play this game it would be ten dollars a month. That is just as much money as it costs to buy this game. I told my parents that it was 10 dollars a month and the first month free. My parents said no. Listen to me and don't waste the money buying this game in the first place.
"An Amazing Game", TSO (as referred to in the actual game) is one of the best games ever.
You might've heard rumors about mafias and other people who aren't nice in the game, but through my experience, that isn't true. If you are just beginning the game and want to meet nice people, start out in Jolly Pines. Everyone helped me when I was new, and all of them became my good friends.
Just try this out. I think they are still offering your first month free, and you will quickly know if you like it or not. So give it a try, and see how you like it.

Read this reviews before You buy..."Addiction not just a game but so much more", ok imagine everyday life, in the sims online you can be whatever you want own a store make a night club be a roommate.in tso you have to study to build up your skills like in everyday life the higher the skills the more money you get paid to do job objects.you can build love houses deal with in game roof artist who can make pictures for you on your roof of anything to attract people.the best part is the chat you get to meet tons of new people i met so many new friends and i continue everyday i cant imagine life without tso its like a combination of the sims and aol in one for 9.99 i canceled my aol account thats how addicted i got "Beware - Very Addicting!!!", My son bought this game (without realizing you have to pay monthly) but we signed up anyway. I used to get mad at the kids for playing too long and not wanting to get off the computer... until *I* tried it - I am so hooked its ridiculous! I even paid real life money to buy extra Sim money! Yep, you can do that and people actually make real money selling it! I think I most enjoy the "house decorting" part of the game. Making money is very time consuming but its fun to chat with other players. I do NOT like the fact that we have to pay about $15 a month to play online. That is WAY too much for one game, especially when we also pay for XBox Online and PoGo! I wouldn't mind $5 a month - maybe. Anyway, I love this game and I am almost 40 years old!
"Good way to pass time...", I'd say the sims online is good and bad...it is a very good way to pass the time. The Good Sides:

Money Making is very hard
There is alot of Scammers in TSO , so better watch out... Overall , its 50/50...but I'd sugguest you wait till The Sims 2 (can't wait)Coming September 17th , 2004
"Okay, here goes.......", I have been playing quite awhile but thats because of the attitude I have towards the game. Yes, there are many people who have left the game due to boredom, broken friendships, mafias etc. However the game is what you make it. One thing you will miss most about the offline game compared to this one is the option to increase time speed. Skilling is not fun, especially if you dont have enough skill locking points. Money making can be boring depending on the house you are at. Many owners choose to do trivia or have contests to promote more fun. It is frustrating starting out with only 10k. Not the mention the horrible lag. It doesnt make sense to put a limited population on the popular cities as someone has mentioned before especially since their servers are half working at the time anyway. Don't get me wrong, I have been playin this game for almos two years now. I like it but I will be honest about the reason why I remain...for the friends I have met. however, everyone will not have the same online experience as myself. Whoever the person was that suggested getting the trial version first, I agree. This game is not for everyone so dont waste your money on something you are unsure about. I also agree with the person who said its nothing like the offline game. So dont go in expecting it to be anything like it. So that this doesnt get too long or boring, I will conclude with this: Get the trial version and see for yourself. Everyone on this board is correct, though conflicting views. So save yourself some money and get the trial first........
"Disappointing.", I ordered TSO from the us, I was sooo excited since I love the other The Sims games and it seemed so great to play it online. So I spent most of my savings, got it in the mail and played it like, 3 times until I got really bored by it. it's simply boring. stick to the offline games or wait for The Sims 2, don't waste your money.
