"Makes Great Coasters!"
Great if you like to have coasters that look like old 45's :(

No joke. I love the look, but I'm not into wasting time and money, and I used both a Plextor Burner and a Lite-On, (both are fast dual core pc's), so it's not my hardware.

Very dissapointed, I'll never buy Verbatim products again.

I love these CDs. They are so unique and when I make CD mixes for my friends, they really stick out. Everyone always asks me where I get them and I never know whether to reveal where or not...I kind of like being the "coolest kid on the block" with these. Recording quality is good, they seem to scratch less than conventional CDs and they just look great. I recommend these to anyone who wants to be more unique with their music.

"Loved them!"
I bought these for our retro themed wedding save the dates.
Of the 100 or so I burned only 1 didn't work and we burned them at a higher speed.
My guest are still raving about the look and I even had to burn a few extras for co-workers that didn't get one.


"Never a bad disc"
Having had a horrible ratio with Memorex CD-Rs, I have never had to throw away a Verbatim CD-R because it was could not read data ... positively pleased.

"The retro-cute factor here is irrestible"
People still double take when you hand them one of these. They're perfect for band demos and the like. My last set had a deep nick in the top of every one of the discs, but they still look great.

"Cute and Perfect for Music CDs", I bought this product several months ago, and I have been burning my own mix of music via iTunes. No problems so far and they look real cute, just like old records. My batch actually came in multi-color, so it's not just the yellow color shown on Amazon's product photo. I am purchasing another round of 50 today!

"Vinyl-look CD-R but not black CD-R!", Buyers looking for black CD-Rs should read more carefully the description. I brought this pack but found that it's not really black CD-R. If the recording side is the ordinary silver color, I don't have to spend this much for a pack of only 50s!
Verbatim should make real black CD-Rs on the recording side.

"Verbatim Discs", The product was hard to find locally, so I used Amazon. A little over priced, considering I later found the item locally, regularly price at about 25% less. I am happy with the service though...

"Wax for the new age...", What can I say? These CD-R's get the job done and look good too. I put my MP3's on them, so it just seemed fitting to get this design that looks like a vinyl record.

"These are great!", These disc have great recording quality and very unique looks! I had first intended to use these disc for my "TDK" standalone Digital cd burner. They would not work on this burner even though these disc are considered digital. So if you are buying these for a standalone cd burner refer to your manual for the brands of disc that work for that burner. I now use these discs for my computers cd burner and they sound awesome and look pretty cool!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Bad quality", I don't typically write reviews but 50% did not work. They look cool but quality sucks. Those that worked had scratches throughout the songs. Even my very cheap blank CDs had better quality. 1 star for looking cool though.

"Looks cool but low success rate", The only saving grace for these is their appearance. They do look very cool.

We ordered about 400 of these to give to our wedding guests. What a pain! Even burning at 4x, about 1 in 10 of would still fail data verification. The first tracks on these failed CDs would be fine but the last few songs would be dead air. After doing about 50 (which took forever), we decided to just get some plain silver CD-Rs that would burn reliably at 52x.

The amount of time it takes to burn just one of these and the fact that it STILL makes the occasional coaster are two good reasons to consider something more reliable (and cheaper). However, if you are looking for a unique looking CD-R and have time and money to waste, then try these out.

"great", these discs cost more but are great for gift giving and make a nice presentation piece

"Verbatim CD-r 50 Not like I'm used to", I have been buying the verbatim disc for nearly 2 years with great results. The Cd's I purchased from Amazon on the spool seemed inferior in every way to those I have purchased before. I use them for Karaoke CDG recordings and they fail regularly and have a much more pronounced inclusions of garbage in the text. Very disappointed and won't buy again. The metal disks I purchased work more like the Verbatim Vinyl I'm used to.

"Great look and no coasters so far", These CD-R's are a fun way archive your music. Several times they functioned as a conversation starter, especially when I burned a CD for my older History teacher. So far, I haven't encountered any coasters so I can't complain there.
