Others say...
"Works with cell phones and computers" I originally bought this for talking over the internet. However, I made an adapter for it to work with my cell phone to use at home. Since I can call any other Verizon phone for free, I can talk as long as I want without having to use a small uncomfortable ear piece. It works great. It has a mute switch and volume control with clip. The microphone can be rotated up if your eating something. The only problem I have had with it is that it generates alot of noise when you have a fan blowing on you.
"I gave up on skimpy" I used (and broke) several headphone sets before purchasing this one. I kept attempting to go lightweight and behind the head, but I'm just too active in my chair, spinning back and forth between computers, and the poor lightweight sets didn't hold up (I had problems with connectors and cords, and lost function). This set is not heavy, it's comfortable, the sound is excellent, and it's sturdy and has kept up with me very nicely. Love the on-cord mute and volume control.
"Excellent" We needed a good headset for creating closed caption content for a television station. We tried other headsets and found them lacking. This unit gave our captioner the best performance with the voice recognition software and also helped him focus on his task by deadening outside noise.
"Can't beat it for the money." I bought these headphones primarily for dictating with Dragon Naturally Speaking. They have proven to be terrific for that purpose, both in terms of accuracy in transcribing speech to text and comfort for long-term use. An added bonus is that they sound pretty darn good for listening to music. If I had any complaint it would be that they are not particularly portable but then again, the only reason that's become an issue is because I find myself wanting to take them everywhere I go.
"Excelent mic and head set." I have owned this head set for 3 years now and they work perfectly for late night gaming while the rest of the house is still fast asleep. The sound is rich and full with base you could swear you can feel. The mike is the most sensitive i have ever used. I have a roommate who sleeps during the day so when i talk to my parents or girlfriend i talk in a whisper i can barely hear myself. I always get good conformation from them i am coming in loud and clear.

What our customer's say!
"Bulky, Good Sound. ", Are too bulky. Sound quality is good. Has inline volume and mute but never use it. RCA/analog jacks. Haven't used the microphone so can't comment on that. I would not re-purchase. I think there are better alternatives. I was happier with my previous Plantronics, which was much lighter and sounded just as good but the cheap foam covers on the ear pieces wore out and no replacements at the time.
"best value for money", Had them for over two years, great with music and gaming. Have held up well.
"Gift item", I bought this for my then girlfriend but she loved the item. She said it had good sound but she rarely used the mic on it so I can not review its quality. Lasted almost 2 years with her dropping them, beating them around and generally abusing them. On a side note...wow but Amazon holds out hope on people submitting a review. :-)
"so-so", Great for Skype calls.
Not so good with music because the sound quality just suffers.
"Fantastic gaming headset", Purchased this headset a few years ago and I have nothing but positive things to say. Lightweight, affordable, excellent sound quality for the money, mic quality is great for gaming/VoIP/etc., great for music also. Extremely comfortable if you're wearing them for extended periods of time. These suckers can get loud. Definitely recommend them if you've been using the 7 dollar cheapies from GameStop or something for years. The immediate difference in sound quality will be significant, I promise you.

"Pretty good for dication", Excellent for listening, but I bought it for dictation. Works rather well for Dragon Naturally Speaking, but the microphone is not long enough to be directly in front of my mouth for optimally dictation.
"One of the best small dollar purchases I've made in a long time", Title says it all. While not the best set of headphones out there, the sound quality is likely unbeatable for 40 dollars. The range of tones is also amazing. Add to that the fact that they're quite comfortable, makes for a good purchase all around.
Oh yeah, the mic doesn't suck either!
"Uncomfortable & Poor Sound", I ordered these to replace my old Plantronics .90 headset after careful consideration. One of my friends has this Sennheiser headset and said it was working well for him. We both use it for gaming and especially with Ventrilo. First thing I noticed when I started using them, was that the sound seemed to be louder in the left ear than the right. I confirmed this by checking my audio balance levels and also testing a different set of headphones. I don't have over-sensitive ears as someone else mentioned in a review, I had a friend check too, and he agreed with me. Secondly, the sound from the Sennheisers seemed echoey... as it sound was coming from a cave. The inline volume control seemed poorly constructed, had a kind of cheap feel to it. I didn't feel like I had very accurate control over the volume, and would rather adjust the volume on my computer controls.
On top of this, the headset was very uncomfortable... instead of fitting over/around my ears, the earpieces sat right on my ears. If you look carefully at the pictures shown here on Amazon, the first one looks as if the headset will fit comfortably around your ears. Yet if you look at the third picture, you'll notice the earpieces don't look as soft and seem to be more like a thick donut. The latter is what I received, and they were not comfortable at all. They clamped down on my head and pressed down on my ears with no way to adjust the pressure. I couldn't stand wearing them for longer than 10 minutes or so (besides the already mentioned poor and unbalanced sound).
About the only thing that did not seem bad, was the microphone. My friends didn't seem to mind it when I spoke on Ventrilo.
Not very impressed with these Sennheisers, I'm going to just get another pair of Plantronics. I know these are cheap headsets, but for around the same price, the Plantronics I've had I've been VERY pleased with... now if only they'd last longer than 8-12 months. But hey, what do you expect from headsets around 30 bucks?
"Great Headset!", The sound quality is great and this headset picks up my voice easily when talking with my friends. I like these compared to audio .90 and dsp 500 and they seem to be more durable. I would recommend these to anyone!
"I like...its very nice!", I think these little headphones are great! I even use the mic for recording music. They are comfortable and sound great. I'm using them with Skype, my friends say it sounds like im talking on a real phone and not a computer (although could due to Skypes quality as well)! I recommend these headphones for music or chat, just great!
