"Red Alert and Yuri's Revenge Make it Well Worth It", Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge are both a lot of fun. The missions give you tough scenarios and introduce you to some the different strategies and unit combos that help you win, both for that particular mission and for future missions and skirmishes. What's especially fun is that often, the mission needs a certain "trick" to beat it, and it might take a little while to find out, but you find out eventually. It's like a puzzle. (When you lose patience, find one of the walkthrough websites that are online).

Once you're finished with the missions, you can have a lotta fun with the skirmishes. The trick to keeping this interesting is to use the different maps--they each present different opportunities and challenges.

After playing the Red Alert games, the Tiberian Sun games appear to be in Nintendo-era graphics. It's hard for me to imagine anyone liking those after playing Red Alert and YR. I uninstalled them after an hour or so.

Renegade is fun for a few hours, and woulda been a great game, except that I kept finding that I needed to get somewhere else on the map (maybe through a building, or something) and I had no clue on how to get there, and the game map doesn't tell you. After running around lost for an hour over the same ground that I kept covering and not finding the way out of the building that I needed, I gave up. I uninstalled this game after a few days. If anyone knows that I'm missing something in using the map, or something, please let me know--maybe I'm wrong about Renegade after all.

In short, Tiberian Sun and Renegade are not worth your time, Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge are both excellent, and make this package well worth your 20 bux.

"Great Game and training in strategy", highly recommended for kids and adults who like computer games and are into highly charged and challenging games.

"Command and Conquer Collection", Product arrived timely and was as represented. We are unable to install two of the games for unknown reasons - perhaps a glitch in our computer. Experience has taught us to be sure system requirements are sufficient for any game software. An older Command and Conquer disk was not compatible with our Windows XP o.s. Contact seller if unsure.

"This Collection Conquers!", Although I came aboard late in the series, Red Alert 2 had me mildly addicted from the start. I had to get the collection if not for completion's sake the price was a steal. This is for any lover of Dune 2000, The StarCraft or WarCraft series. It is a collection that will capture your attention quickly. Although the graphics aren't the greatest, after all these games are a bit dated, the game play more than makes up for it's lack of visuals.
The bonus here is the Renegade game. As an avid lover of first person shooters this was a pleasant surprise for me. It contains all the same weapons, facilties and vehicles of the other gamepacks but with first hand perspective.
A must have for any classic PC game lover, and at this price there is no excuse not to own it.

"Really good value.", Many people seem to prefer the polished Tiberian Sun, but Red Alert 2 really sticks out in my mind. It is one of most enjoyable games I've ever played. It is sillier than most, but very very well done, and the lighter atmosphere is really refreshing. I'm sorry I skipped this game when it first came out, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to play it while it could still be found.

Renegade is fantastic. It's really fun for an original Command and Conquer fan to be able to run around "in the game" in first person and actually fight into and destroy "The Hand of Nod." Renegade isn't something a person will replay a thousand times, but it is something I'd recommend in a minute to every C&C fan.

Technical note: I couldn't get everything to play properly under Windows XP SP2 either, not out of the box. And I too fixed the problem by setting compatibility mode as described by T. Tschirgi in a previous comment. I haven't attempted any multiplayer functionality.

This collection is easily the best value for the money of ... well, pretty much anything. I would recommend this collection as a package in a heartbeat. There is a lot of gameplay here, and the simpler graphics and simpler gameplay translates into a faster, cleaner, less choppy and less frustrating experience. You can't really buy anything anymore without hesitation, but I think this is an exception.

"Perfect Collection NO PROBLEMS INSTALLING", anyone who said thier having problems installing must just not know what thier doing at all, its the easiest thing on earth.

This collection is perfect. it has 2 of the greatest war stragety games and thier epansions plus an alright fsp. these games will give you hours and hours of enjoyment, ive been playing them since they came out and still am not bored with them!

"Tricky Setup for Win XP, Great Entertainment", It's hard to beat getting 5 game disks for under $20. It makes a person think there must be a catch, and in this case, there is:
You need to do some extra steps to get it to run in Windows XP. I assume its fine on Win 95 or Win 98, but I'm no longer using those systems.

Comma To make it run on Windows XP, you have to tell Win XP to run it in Windows 98 Compatibility mode. This includes the installation programs on the disks;

This is what we did:
Click Start - Run - Browse to bring up the menu of the installation disk.
For each program icon on the disk;
Right Click the icon, select Properties - Compatibility;
click the compatibility box, and choose Windows 98.
Apply and close. Then go on to the next program and do the same thing, until you have done every executable program on the disk.
After that, it installs and runs just great!


It only took an hour or so to load each game in the set, but we've played them for many hours more. Because the game allows you to set the number of enemies and their difficulty, the game can grow in complexity each time you play-- Or you can leave it on the easy settings, if you like smashing the enemy every time.

The soldiers scream briefly when they die. Other than that, it is probably the least bloody computer war game I've seen.

"Look at it", You get 5 great grade A games for 20$. Thats a highway robbery. Red Alert and Yuri's Revenge cost 28$. Thats saveing 8 bucks and getting 3 great games free. This the best deal ever. You need to buy this pack.

"Great Game for the Strategy War Gamer", The C&C collection is a great game for war gamers,however I could not install Renegade on my XP all the other games installed fine though.Also EA tech support is horrible.This game is still great buy.
