"Very effective product", My Toshiba laptop would not stay on for more than short periods of time. I suspected it might be getting too hot. I read some reviews on coolers, and thought this one sounded good, and the price was reasonable. Since I've been using this cooler, my notebook has not shut off prematurely at all. It is not uncommon for this computer to be on 24/7.
The one thing I didn't care for was the blue power on light. It was so bright that it was very distracting. A couple layers of black electrical tape dimmed it enough to not be bothersome, yet still be visible.

"Recommended", I have had this laptop cooler for several months now and have been very happy with it. Some people complain about the blue power light, but it doesn't bother me at all. I also like that it has both low and high settings. I keep it on high while playing games, and although it makes a little more noise it keeps my computer cooler. When I'm just browsing I keep it on low and I don't even hear the fans. Probably the best thing about this cooler is that it works very well both on a desk or table and while sitting on my lap. I even bought one for my roommate for Christmas because he liked mine so much. One thing to keep in mind is that it won't work as well for smaller laptops. I have an older 13" Macbook and it is just barely big enough. Also, unlike most other coolers (I think) it sucks air down away from laptop instead of blowing air up into it.

"Just what I was looking for!!!", I was looking for something more substantial than my previous cooling pad (Targus Laptop Chill Pad - PA248Y01U) and this product is perfect. I love that it is made of metal and the taller rubber pegs that the laptop sits on are a better height to facilitate cooling. Also, the rubber feet make it completely non-slip. Thanks Antec!!!

"cooler is better", This is a nice unit for the price. I have only run it on high and wish it would produce a little more cooling. Doubt I would use it at low fan speed. I do have my laptop running 24/7 so it gets pretty hot. But it does do the job. Would like to see it run a little cooler and also be available in bigger size.

I guess the rubber feet that your laptop sits on could me adjustble , location-wise.. but this is minor.
I am using this with a macbook and it is very nice to be able to use my mac without burning my legs!
The usb plug that plugs in your laptop is open-ended so you do not lose one of your usb ports. Very cool.


"it works; it lasts", We just replaced this cooler after our old one (6 years old!) finally started slowing down. Before we replaced it with the Antec, which is what we'd had, we foolishly bought a different one at the big electronics store ...it died in the second month. This cooler is great for a laptop that gets moved from surface to surface (e.g. a shelf to your lap) becuase it is stiff, not all wobbly like some of the others. Only odd thing is a really bright blue light on the new model - might be problematic if you're working in the dark.

"works well", Have used one for over a year. Bought this one as a gift. Effectively cools notebook. Given only four stars because USB connector is bulky enough to block both USB ports on Dell 5150 notebook. Fortunately, the Antec USB connector provides an additional port.

"Works great", I have had this cooler for a week or so,and am very satisfied with it.
It does exactly what it states it does.I have a new laptop that I use to play high-requirement games,and this barely audible cooler keeps my computer running smoothly.Plus..it emits a cool blue light and I am all about cool lights.
I would recommend this to anyone who might be concerned about killing a laptop with overheating before its time.


"Worked great for the first 2 months then started making noises", I was very happy with this cooler at first. It kept my laptop runner cool as a cucumber. Some people have noted problems with the feet that elevate the notebook, but I've had no such issues there. I am though not happy with the very bright blue light that stays on when its in use. It's very noticeable and annoying to me. I ended up using a small piece of black duck tape to cover the light which has worked well, except that now theres a piece of duck tape on an otherwise aesthetically pleasing device.

Now the big problem. After only having it for less than 2 months it has started making this horrible vibrating noise. It's as if the fans are not balanced or something. But whatever the case, it's a major killing point to what was a great item. I'll be returning to it amazon.
