"My favorite Matrix"
Truly stunning visual effect. Keanu Reeves,Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss totally rocked in all that action. Hey it's sci-fi fantasy the story line can afford to be blurred.

"Definitely Reloaded "
Part 2 may have been the best as far as action goes out of all three. I like the story line and yes there were some holes but it is still a movie. The Matrix series is one of those movies where it's basis was more about life and reality as we know (or maybe don't know it)but they used the ides of computers and technology to explain it. Hence the coming of the chosen one to save the human race, the architect, and this reality not being our real home.

"random and incoherent"
this is the second movie in the Matrix saga.it chronicles the
continuing fight of the resistance to free humanity from continuing
enslavement from the machines which keep reality hidden from them.this
is not what i would call good movie.it is a collection of repetitive
and ridiculous unrealistic fight scenes, coupled with an incoherent
storyline.plus there a lot of 'profound' sayings which aren't really
profound at all.then you have characters speaking in riddles which are
gibberish half the time.at time,i felt i was being preached a
philosophy lesson. My vote for The Matrix Reloaded is a 2/5

"There is something wrong with every aspect of this movie"
I am a huge fan of the first movie and have a special place for it in my heart. Unfortunately by the time Reloaded came around the Wachowskis lost their original spirit completely. The only way to fix this would be to come out with a 4th movie where neo comes back and destroys the entire matrix and gets a new body (preferrabley with eyeballs). Anyhow, The Matrix Reloaded can't stand toe to toe with The Matrix.

They gave purpose to all of the characters though its often contradictory and changes from scene to scene. This purpose was also in conflict with the motivation and emotional side of the characters themselves. Further, the narrative of this movie does not weave any meaning together on a grand scale. This movie also managed to destroy the purpose of the original, which was bucking the system totally and unplugging yourself. Remember the feeling when Neo was going to go in and destroy the entire matrix and do what know person has tried before?? Thats not here by any means. By the end of the third movie Neo is also no longer a hero. He basically gives up and dies to preserve the matrix. Disappointing right? Another reason this movie destroys the first is that Neo's arch nemesis changes from the matrix itself to agent smith. Thats a huge change and might be the sole reason why this movie is a failure.

The Wachowski brothers are not story tellers, but copy and pasters of everything from art to philosophy, and this time they had no idea what they were doing.

Although it has some of the best special effects of alltime this can be contributed to the CG artists.

Plot holes galore:
How does Neo know to go to or find Seraph without even knowing who he is?
Why would Trintiy leave Neo when he is going on the most dangerous part of the mission?
The only reason for the Link character is to remind you that you that they are still in the matrix. Somehow he gets more screen time than both morpheus and trinity.
For the many years and technological advancements that Zion has, why does it look like they are all in poverty?
Why does Morpheus need neo at all??
For all the time they had, and technology in Zion, didn't they realize that nuking the machines on the surface was their only choice in ending the war? Killing everyone in the matrix to shut it all down becomes the ONLY satisfactory option when the machines are dangerous to the small, surviving, population of Zion. The movie doesnt address this fact.

Neo had no single agenda, whether it be staying with Trinity, killing smith, or killing off the matrix.
If they had stuck to a single resolve many of my negative points and plot holes would not have arisen. But look what happened, they didnt. That makes for a poor, unemotional, hodge podge puppet show that cost millions of dollars to make.

The real viruses are the wachowski brothers for wasting my time and money on this series.

"This move will make you want to take the redpill"
I don't understand why people are so against this movie. It had everything from great special effects to a smart script. Look its not
the writers fault that some people didn't get what was being said durng conversations. This movie was 10 times better than the 3rd movie, and I know I sound crazy, but I would say that it's just as good as the 1st if not a little better. Now going back to watch the first and seeing how much of a wimp Neo was in the first drives me crazy. Take it that in the last 5 minutes of the first he could finally bet Smith looks so silly.
Especially now that he can take on hundreds at a time. In a movies I want to see things that are impossible. Its a shame they had to end it on such a bad movie as the 3rd one. I only bought the 3rd to complete the series, other wise I would have skipped that one. GET THIS MOVIE!!!!

"Simplemente me gusta mucho The Matrix Reloaded", Estoy enteramente satisfecho con el DVD que compre. A la pelicula no le pongo ningun pero. Simplemente me gusta mucho The Matrix Reloaded.

"STOP DROP AND RELOAD", Reloaded is the second film in the Matrix trilogy.Following the events of the first Matrix film,Reloaded brings back the original cast to continue their fight against the "system" known as the Matrix. With the machines digging ther way towards the last surviving human colony,it's up to Neo and his comrades to bring down the system before all is lost.Just as the original Matrix set the benchmark for visual effects,Reloaded sets it twice as high by using the latest CG tools to create some of the most mind-blowing and visually stunning fights and chase sequences ever seen, along with more of the same extraordinary character depth that these films are famous for.Though not as strong in storyline as it's predecessor,Reloaded provides a refreshing and intellectual movie experience and sets the stage for the war to end all wars.

"Interesting but flawed", The Matrix revolutionized the action genre with its amazing storytelling and incredible action sequences. The Matrix: Reloaded continues the legacy of incredible action sequences; however, the storytelling has suffered over these years. In the previous film, action complimented the ideas the plot needed explained; the notion of matrix reality vs. actual reality was enforced greatly thanks to fights that culminated in short lines ("You think that's air your breathing?"). Reloaded faces the challenge of developing new ideas about the matrix as well as the reality outside it. Unfortunately, explanations come and come and come...Long conversations and speeches seem independent of the action in the film, and, as a result, the film has an odd pacing which contrasts greatly from the constant adrenaline rush of the first. I felt I needed a flowchart to fully grasp the characters and their places in this story. The confusing and tedious storytelling aside, the plot continues to be intriguing and I anticipate the third installment. The following of the first will guarantee this saga success, despite some problems.

"Too Philosophical, Too Fake, Too Confusing", After being absolutely blown away by the original "Matrix" film, I was expecting much of the same the second time around. Unfortunately, that is EXACTLY what happened...albeit too much.

The major appeal of the first film was that the complex story was put into terms that, while sometimes complicated, most people could still understand. "Reloaded", however, ratchets that level of difficulty in understanding the subject material into the stratosphere, as characters expounded on the notions of "rogue computer programs", "choice", and "free will". Far too many times I felt as if I needed undergraduate degrees in philosophy and computer science to understand what the heck was going on!

The other readily-apparent flaw in this film was its overuse of action scenes. The first film provided just the right combination of talk vs. action that made the showdown with Agent Smith all the more enjoyable. "Reloaded" throws scene after scene of intense martial arts at you, in the process making those scenes a whole lot less unique and thrilling. Plus, the scenes are often so over-the top (where it is too obvious for a major motion picture that high-tech computers are used to shoot the entire scene) that the entire film has a fake feel to it.

With those major critiques out of the way, however, the film did have its bright spots. For me, the experience of watching this film can be summed up by Neo's meeting with "The Architect"...though I was fascinated but what was being said, I could only comprehend every third or fourth concept due to the highly-complicated nature of the subject matter. Like I said, one must be almost professionally versed in philosophy and computer programming to know exactly what is transpiring.

Overall, then, I would recommend this film to all the hard-core computer programming nerds out there that will be absolutely fascinated by its musings. For the more casual science fiction viewer, however, just try to comprehend as much as you can and wait for the big conclusion coming in the third film.

"Mostly Action", I agree with most people that this Reloaded sequel doesn't live up to the original The Matrix. To me that just compliments the original, though. I wasn't expecting anything better than the first and neither should you.

To make up for the reuse of the recycled elements of The Matrix, they've poured in action to the brim. It's almost too much. Where as before one agent could kill all three or more of them, each individual has this new confidence and ability to handle themselves, not to mention Neo who can just Superman his way out of a 25-Smith situation. Very convenient.

Still, it's worth seeing how the story plays out being you can buy this DVD new for $5 including shipping. Can't beat that!

"Better Effects, More Action, bit too Light", WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILERS !!

Overall a good sequel. Just that it got away from the semi-gloomy theme of the first matrix and that turned me off a bit.
Nice allusion to some human fantasy characters and their purpose for existence in the 'matrix-world'. Which is anachronistic being the the machines took over in the 21st century.
Put a dent in my expectations of Neo's possible rising omnipotence and his place as the singular 'hero' figure.
Gave Morpheus and Trinity a good test run of their skills against the agents.

In itself a great movie, not as good IMHO as the original but a great movie for Matrix fans.

"action packed and chock full of parallels with our own reality", There is no excuse for anyone to have not watched this movie. But how many people who watch it really understand that it is gives a superb analogy to understanding our current reality.

We live in a world of illusion, distraction, economic slavedom and material indulgence. Breaking free from these culturally programmed distractions will enable you to break free from the real Matrix that we inhabit.

Still think the Matrix is fantasy??? To really explore the reality of our 'matrix' try reading the book by Ouspensky called "In Search of the Miraculous", and the book by Laura Knight-Jadczyk called "The Secret History of the World".

It's your choice, get swallowed up in the illusion of job titles, pensions, media propagated fear, control and consumption or start living your own truly free life!!!!

"Excellent sequel!", I know of friends who only saw the first Matrix movie and that is a shame, as all three parts of the trilogy belong together as the journey of Neo and the change that happens to him along the way. It is a fantastic job that has been done in keeping the quality at the top without descending into making B-grade follow up movies as is often the case with sequels.

It is a movie that can be seen on many levels. Some will see it just as a great action movie which it is, but there is so much more to this film. It is a fantastic depiction of the journey of the spiritual seeker and the difficulties that he encounters within himself as he starts pushing against the prisons of his own mind and the multitude of programs that operates and which keep us small.

It also neatly depicts the way humans are kept as 'food for the moon' in Gurdjieff's words or simply food for ultra terrestrials. In the film this is depicted as humans, being little less than cultivated biological batteries for the machines.

The story is part of a trilogy and all three parts are worth watching more than once, as you will undoubtedly see new things each time. Things that start making sense only after some time of reflection and reading. In this regard I can recommend reading the book by Ouspensky called "In Search of the Miraculous", and the book by Laura Knight-Jadczyk called "The Secret History of the World".

"The Matrix Rehashed", "The Matrix" was an innovative,thought-provoking movie. It had a Buddhist/Christian allegory with the "Chosen One",Neo being "awakened" (like Buddha) to the reality of existence and being "resurrected" (like Jesus) through Trinity's kiss. It's an enjoyable,rip-roaring film.

"Matrix Reloaded",on the other hand,is a major letdown. It has the special effects, the same trio of heroes (Neo,Trinity,Morpheus)..but lacks its soul. The spirituality of the first has been replaced with "look what we can do now." The heroic trio confronts the Merovignian (a legendary descendant of Jesus and Mary Magdalene),his cleavage-baring wife Persephone,as well as the albino Twins. These new villains are incredibly confusing, and don't have any basis in the first movie. Why do they even exist? As an excuse for fight scenes? At least Hugo Weaving returns as the only engaging villain,Agent Smith.

There's a pointless orgy/rave scene in Zion that's supposed to be life-affirming. One expects to see Nelly Furtado emerging from the shadows to belt out "Maneater",but that's a FUN video, and a better song. Neo and Trinity have an unerotic consummation scene. It could've been incredibly sensual and romantic;but the leads lack chemistry. Perhaps the Wachowskis should've left the Neo/Trinity love scene to the imaginations of the viewers.

"Matrix Reloaded" has some amazing visuals, especially at the end when Neo confronts the architect of the Matrix surrounded by TV monitors. The battle scenes,as always, are spectacles. Unfortunately, the human and mystical sides of the story are significantly absent.

"The matrix trilogy", We finally got the Matrix Reloaded to complete the trilogy..the best thing about having all three movies..is being able to watch all three in sequence over and over again, every time I watched them I understand more about the story being told.
Great stuff!!!
