"When will they do this movie justice???", This a review for the "Special Edition" DVD of Christmas Vacation specifically, not the movie itself - which deserves more than 5 stars. "Christmas Vacation" is a true classic, and why is hasn't been remastered and presented in true widescreen with a 5.1 soundtrack is beyond me.

I've had the full-screen version of the movie for at least 8 years now, which starts out by saying that it's been formatted to fit my screen. So, I decided to buy this so-called "widescreen" edition. Long story short - they took the 4:3 transfer and cut the top and/or bottom off! Yes indeed, it's almost the exact same thing as hitting the zoom button on your TV. They haven't cleaned up the transfer, and they haven't done anything to the sound. All they've done is taken the old picture and cut more of it off, leaving us with probably 50% of what was shown in the theaters.

As for the other movies, I'm too disgusted to watch them after seeing what they've done (and haven't done) to "Christmas Vacation". It's still a good deal at $17, but a major letdown when you're expecting the "real" version of the movie.

"funny", funny family movie which you can watch with your family at the weekends if your plan is to stay at home..

"Great Franchise All-In-One!", Everyone has seen at least one of these movies and now you can get all four of them in one place. I highly recommend the Vacation movies as classic, silly, comedies that the whole family can enjoy.

"Loved it", We all had a blast watching Vegas Vacation for the hundredth time. And now that we own a copy we can watch it hundred more times!!!!

"Excellent collection but...", A couple of the DVDs skip here and there, but this may be attributed to my very cheap and old DVD player, not necessarily to the quality of the product. Maybe it's time for a new DVD player?? ;) I'm still happy with my purchase.

"Vacation marathon right this way . . . . . . . .", Bought this for my step-dad for his b-day. He loves a good laugh & I know he'll get more than a few from this package. Was very pleased to find this & the price was great!

"Can't go wrong with the Grisswalds", Bought this for my husband for christmas, though he's already got it. Nothing like Griswald's for christmas! Sure wouldn't be christmas without them!

I like the fact this came as a set instead of having to buy each one or hunt them all down.

"fab", National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (Special Edition) all the vacation films are a must have if you enjoy comedy make sure they are with actor chevy Chase though as there are others out there and they are crude and not amusing at all,also a must have is Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn in "almost like old times" fabulous.

"Ultimate Vacation Collection (Vacation / European Vacation / Christmas Vacation / Vegas Vacation) ", Funny...very funny. Excellent DVD's having comedies which are of excellent humor.
