"Decent"
The best thing about the game is the multi-player option where you get to run around and lightsaber people in a free for all like counter strike.

"Sweet Game!!!"
You should totally buy this game. It will keep you going with hours and hours of fun. From capture the flag, and free for all battles and other game types,
slice your way thorough with a lightsaber and many other available weapons. You can even design your own lightsaber, have one in each hand or a double sided one. Overall, this game is great. The only thing I didn't like was the Graphics, but other than that, The combat is great fun, you can play online with your friends, and capture the flag is a really fun thing to play on this
game. When I first played this game at a friends house, he told me it was only ten dollars, and I couldn't believe it!

"The Force is with you all night"
I cannot get engough of this game. One the most fun First and third person shooters. The lightsaber fights are excellent plus the use of all the force powers make it more intersting. The game is smooth, fast paced, clean with enough Jedi power to please the most uptight star wars fan. The graphics are great as well. You even get Mark Hamil playing Luke!! Buy this now for true game enjoyment.

"Multi-player is still alive in this game"
There are 120 other reviews at the moment that tell you how the game is so I will tell you a few things I would find usefull. Also this is a review aimed toward Moms =]

There are tons of servers on multi everywere and there are plenty of servers that have good rules such as being respectful and no cussing an such.
I am in a clan that is Christian as well and it is awesome. There is no blood because it is sabers, in fact in multi-player there is no body part dismemberment unless you download a mod to make them fall apart =P in single acassionaly a storm trooper will lose an arm or hand or something but never are they chopped in half or beheaded. Anyway this is a really fun game I have been playing it for 3 years and I am still playing it every day =].

"Run, jump and slash: lightsaber-wiedling fun"
You're a new recruit at the Jedi Academy. Pick out a wardrobe (after you've chosen your sex and species), design your lightsaber, and you're ready to meet your instructor, Kyle Katarn. He'll lead you through a short series of training exercises before you're off on your first mission.

This is an easy-to-use game that requires no strategy and minimal puzzle-solving ability. If you can run, jump and swing your lightsaber, that's about all you'll need to get through the game. You'll have a whole host of Force powers to choose from, everything from healing your bruised body to shooting lightning from your fingertips. And while those Force powers provide an added level of fun, they're not absolutely necessary; I was able to finish the game using only Force Push (good for knocking opponents of cliffs, ledges, and bridges), Force Protect (your own full-body shield), Force Speed (run circles around slower opponents), and Force Heal. In addition, there are perhaps two or three occasions you are required to us Force Sense to find hidden objects.

The game is built around a series of short missions, many of which are irrelevant to the main story, which involves a cult that worships Ragnos (an ancient Sith Lord) and which has been spotted throughout the galaxy at places where high concentrations of Dark Force Energy are to be found. The cultists are siphoning this energy for unknown but obviously nefarious purposes, and along with the other Jedi at the academy you have to interrupt their plans and finally chase them down to their base at Korriban, the tomb world of the Sith Lords.

For a game that was released in 2003, the graphics and game play hold up pretty well in late 2006, with the exception of a few contrived missions that involve traversing all four corners of a large game map to free prisoners, or to plant (or disarm) explosives. There are few long cut-scenes to interrupt the flow of the game, and the ability to save at any point during saves lots of frustration at having to repeat sections of the game. As there is no over-arcing strategy to the game, it's ideal for people who want to play for 30 minutes or an hour at a time.

If you're looking for a Star Wars game that requires a little more concentration and attention to detail, you might like to try Knights of the Old Republic. But if you want to just whack away with a lightsaber for a few hours, Jedi Academy is just what you need.

What our customer's say!

"A message for George", Great Game! You actually need skill to play, not like the Battlefront games. Mr. Lucas why have you abandoned the game genre that started it all?
Please continue the story, especially for us who are still using a PC.

"Keeps the kids busy for a long time", My sons, 11 & 14 adore this game! They continue to beat it and go back in with different scenarios. Very compelling ( I chose not to say addictive in the same sentence as kids)

"Star Wars Full on FUN!", Jedi Academy---
don't get caught up too much on the plot, storyline, or roleplaying depth of this title. the game is pure, full on FUN. it's like the designers of this game saw star wars when they were 8 years old and then came along here and put every single thrill-ride of the 3 (original) movies in this game.
you got lightsabers -- of course. you got force powers -- of course. you get to ride a tauntaun charging down snowtroopers with your lightsaber, you get to go on a wild speederbike level (i played rocket jockey, those saps didn't have a CHANCE!), you get to hop in an AT-ST and rampage around. the controls aren't so complicated that you keep crashing into walls and have trouble surviving due to that.

i have a save game for the prison mission. it is TOO fun. you get captured and tossed in jail, and lose your lightsabre. the sadistic boss hogg warden is bored -- he wants to let you lose, and you're supposed to run to your ship to escape.
i say, 'oh you THINK that's how it's gonna go, do you?' forget lightsabre, i have force lightning level 3! i walk out of there with bare hands, two guards see me, and BOOM! i nail them good! bodies are flying, men are screaming, things are blowing up.... too fun!

"This game rocks!", I first started playing this game when I was little. And a few months ago, I said, "I can't remember anything about Jedi Academy, so I think I'll play it." To make a long story short, this game is awesome. But I think you would probably rather hear my entire opinion about this game, so here we go.

This game had an enjoyable (if not unpredictable) storyline with fairly realistic characters. The levels were cool, and the creators of the game did an excellent job in making the planets and objectives different each time. The boss levels were really cool as well, and I thought that they did an especially good job with Vjun. I thought it was neat how the character creation was made. You can choose a main outfit color, a hairstyle, and the torso and legs of your character's outfit.

However, I'm not crazy about the fact that you can't choose your own name. I understand that this is for good dialogue in the cinematic parts, but I like making up crazy new names. The battles are a bit repetitive, with the mercenaries and stormtroopers the easiest. Although I have to admit that it was a nice change when they introduced the big stormtroopers. I found that there were two extremely difficult levels (the one with the sandworms and the one with the mutated rancor), but other than that, the levels were fairly easy. I especially enjoyed the level with the swoop bikes.

In short, I loved this game! I love to replay it over and over again. Plus, I found that it was cool that it works on Windows Vista. You see, my dad switched my computer over to Vista when I had just finished the game for the first time. I highly recommend this game. I also think it was good that there was no blood in the fight scenes.

"Great game", Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is the third game in the Jedi Knight series. I haven't played the first two, but I probably will after playing this game. The models in this game are very well detailed, and the graphics aren't too bad. The gameplay overall is very fun. The only downside to this game is that it is relatively short... maybe around 5 hours. However, I would recommend picking up this game.

"Wicked Game", This Game is awesome man. My friend has this game and its wicked. It's a little confusing and hard when you start, but you get the hang of it. You can change what you look like and what your lightsaber looks like. It is funny when you rescue prisoners because you get to a safe place away from the rancor, and then all of a sudden a prisoner turns a corner and the rancor comes chasing after him. There are cheats you can type in. I`ll give you one cheat. You press and hold down the left shift, the plus sign, and then the ~ buttons. Then type in helpusobi 1. Then type in "undying." What I really like about this game is the swinging, throwing, and shooting action. My drain is level 6 right now and grip is level 4.

Single Player- Great
Multiplayer- Good
Selecting Character- Good choices
Overall a great game.

"Hey, Your Very Own Lightsaber!", This is a great game for those with limited time to play, who want to be able to use force powers (and choose which ones they want) design a lightsaber to use from the get-go, and use a character template to design how you want your character to look (albeit with limitations).

May not be as interesting to those who want a more 'Knights of the Old Republic' experience to their game, with KOTOR being considerably more textured in story and possibilities, but great for those of us who want an easy to handle adventure in a comfortable universe, complete with a lightsaber to swing!

"Excellent graphics and gameplay", I was amazed at how long the storyline was in single player and how different each area was. I also play the multiplayer with some brothers and it has been a lot of fun and challenging. I would recommend this to anyone that likes games.

"Exellent game Rocks", i think that this game is recommended to all ages except young kids and i hope u agree with me! ive have yet to beat it but its still fun!

"Jedi Academy", Amazon was a reliable site from which to obtain this product. It is about what I expected.
