"How 'bout that! Small, but oh my. . ." I'm very pleased with the little jewel of an amplifier that Sonic Impact puts out. The first one I purchased failed within hours, but Beach Audio replaced it promptly, and I have been using it on a nearly continuous basis for weeks now. The clarity of sound is outstanding and rivals that of any sound system I have owned (and I've owned a few!). I bought a power supply (14v 2+amps) from Fry's Electronics to power it. That was a wise decision, as I now get about all the sound I can safely wring out of this little unit. I coupled it with a pair of JBL Control One speakers, and when disappointed with the lower end (hey, forgive me; I'm a string bass player!), I added a powered sub-woofer. Now my CDs and XM radio broadcasts are reproduced with clean power and sound fantastic. So much belt for the buck!
"Battery Powered Amp" This is a great little product for those who want a little better fidelity, but don't want to carry a "Boom Box" around with their MP3 player. Very efficient amp, it runs all day on one set of "AA" NiMh Batteries. I have a small desktop speaker that I connect between a positive terminal on one channel to the negative terminal on the other channel for a monoral output. (Both are driven 180 degrees out of phase.) That 8" footprint produces enough sound for a hotel room. I have a couple old bookshelf speakers that I purchased at a thrift store that work very well when I am outside and can tolerate the 2 foot tall, 15 lb speakers.
The only negative thing is the battery connections are very poor. I broke mine the third time I installed a set of batteries. The top negative springs are way too long and interfere with the insertion of the lower batteries. The bottom springs are so long that they end up folded sideways behind the battery most of the time. There is an external power connection that saves the day.
"For the price, unbelievable" I am using this amplifier to power much larger speakers than it is designed for. It does an excellent job. The only problem I have with it at all is that I cannot put batteries in; the compartment is just too cramped for my fingers to navigate. I simply leave it plugged in all of the time. For the frugal shopper, I think this is a must-have.
"Amazing little amp" This amp is great. I made a couple of two-way bookshelf speakers with 8" Dayton woofers and connected this amp to them. The sound is high quality! It's also plenty loud for an outdoor picnic or poolside. The connections seem solid enough to unplug and plug over and over again. The batteries are not easy to get in repeatedly though. That's actually a big understatement. It's a serious pain in the butt. I will have to be careful or it will eventually break. I only want it for portability, but it's good for home use too. It takes a 2Amp power supply or 4 AA batteries. The batteries last about a half a day. Dayton has a multi purpose 2A power supply for about $28 delivered. For the warranty to work you have to get the proprietary one that costs a bit more and isn't versatile at all. I don't think $32 delivered is much to worry about though.
"great amp just as expected" Have owned and used this amplifier for approximately 4 months. There weren't many options for miniture amplifiers, but it was great to find such a perfect solution. The Sonic Impact T-Amp received great reviews, so I figured it would be a good purchase, and it has been so far. I only use it with an AC/DC adapter, so no idea if the battery operated feature works well. But it works great with an AC/DC adapter. And it is really easy to use. Only the on/off/volume dial leaves a little to be desired. It is flat against the surface of the product and does not stick out enough to grasp with a finger and thumb, so you end up using the friction of a finger or thumb to turn the dial. Wish they would have used a knob, but I presume I could change that myself if it really mattered.

What our customer's say!
"Great option for computer audio system", This amp and a $15 regulated power supply replaced a Hafler DH-220 that was drawing 120 watts at idle and 180 watts in operation. This set up will eventually pay for itself in power savings. As a bonus, it sounds as good or better in my computer audio system.
Initially, the amp was really bright and harsh, but I let it run with an input signal for 72 hours and the sound improved significantly. I wasn't really a believer in "break-in" for solid-state electronics, but the sound did improve over time. I have a separate high end system, so it's not just becoming accustomed to the T-Amp.
The T-Amp and power supply combination isn't especially attractive, but it fit in with the rest of my hardware environment. I see that there is a version two T-Amp with power supply close to the price I paid for the amp and separate power supply.
"CANT GET BETTER FOR LESS THAN $500", I have been in the audio industry for 10 years, and never have I seen a product sound so good for so cheap. This amp is practically a miracle !!! Put one in every room!!! Incredible imaging!! Super fast!!! Quiet!! And you can use batteries and power a pair of speakers at the beach!!! Every home should have one!!
"Little giant", Excelent product....there is nothing as good for the price....I own it with my media player slimdevices squeezebox, and they match perfectly! If you have a small to medium room, and a pair of speakers with at least 89dB, this product is for you!!

"Sonic Impact", The product was faulty. One of the springs in the battery compartment was broken off, so it will not hold the batteries properly.
"much music for little money", By far best ratio good value for money on the market. Only (little) problem : sensitive speakers are a must for getting the best from that little beast but it's a bit worthy !

Read this reviews before You buy...
"Waste Of time", I bought this mini amp to power my 2 20 watts speakers and it never worked, don't waste your monies as its nothing more then a toy.
"Wow !!!!", By no means am I a rabid audiophile, but I know good equipment when I hear it. This little thing rocks HARD! Definitely buy an adapter or it will eat your batteries. I mostly use it to drive outdoor speakers that are connected from my computer. Also works great with MP3 player and laptop.
"Expectations satisfied.", This product is made cheaply worth its price of $30. The technology inside this box is worth over $1000.T-Amp can be the next big thing in amplification, although, the company who developed it, Tripath, is in bankruptcy. Buying this amp is the best introduction to T-amp concept.
"Fantasically great yet cheap", Nothing new about this review. The audio quality is fantastic. The components are ridiculously efficient (sounds more like 50 watts than 15). And the casing and connectors are beyond cheap. You typically only find this kind of "build quality" at the Dollar Store. But strip the components out and embed them in another device and you'll have a great system.
I recommend a 2 amp power supply. I had an old Energizer battery charger power supply (actual charger had long since been lost) that worked great, but the connector is buried deep inside the T-Amp, so the connection wasn't good until I pulled the thing apart. Now I'm running it on a 12 volt 5 AH SLA battery that also charges my iPod. Great setup, WAY better than Apple's iPod HiFi, and WAY cheaper. Just get an Insten brand dock with remote and some good speakers and crossover network (partsexpress through Amazon is great) and you'll have a wonderful, affordable, powerful system.
"Tiny AMplifier", I bought this amp to power my outdoor BOSE 151's. Not only will it max these speakers when plugged in, it also can be run on AA batteries. $30 well spent.
