"Problem solved"
I took a trip in my MINI Cooper S (JCW). We were using the DC power outlet to run a radar detector. But when we wanted to plug in our iPhone or MacBook Pro to recharge them, we had to unplug the radar detector. When I learned about the Lenmar SPP-04 Power Port 4 Outlet product, I ordered it.

It fits nicely under the center console and provides enough ports for my radar detector, laptop, phone, and ipod. I recommend it to anyone who feels port "poor."

"Great little accessory!"
Used on a vacation trip to Canada to use vehicle power for laptop with GPS device and an MP3 player. Worked very well.

"Really holds four adapters and they don't fall out!"
We already had a power port similiar to this (with only two sockets) but it did not hold the adapters in tightly. They would constantly come unplugged and we would lose power to the portable DVD players and have to go all through the menu again and scene selections. This one is great! It tightly held the adapters and we have had no power loss problems.

"Worked perfectly!"
I bought this to use as an extension cord/multiple outlet to use in my car. The cord extends about 4 feet, allowing the main unit to sit comfortably in the middle or back of the car. While a different (cheap) multi-plug outlet died early in the trip, this unit survived the full journey (many 12-hour driving days), powering one GPS, two cell phones, and a portable fridge! There were absolutely no problems with this unit. It didn't blow a fuse or even warm up at all. The unit isn't nearly as huge or heavy as others claimed - it is exactly the size and weight I'd expect for a four-outlet unit. Measures about 5.25" x 3" x 1.75" with a removable bracket on the base. A great product for the price!

"Piece of junk"
I bought this to power a Garmin GPS and radar detector in a Pontiac Vibe with only one DC socket. It worked several times on long trips, then ceased functioning when a smoker used the lighter I purchased at Wal-Mart in the one socket designed for a lighter. You don't pay much and you don't get much.

"What did I do without it?", I always read the reviews which I find quite helpful before I purchase an item. When I read that this unit was so big, I almost didn't purchase it. I am so glad that I did purchase it! How can anyone really complain about the size when you are getting 4 inputs for 1? It really isn't that big at all (I was expecting something that would have to sit on the passenger's chair... not at all). The unit also comes with a double-sided sticky tape to hold it up. I drive a Nissan and find that it fits right to the left or right of the console without really noticing it. Plus, it works! Go Lenmar!

"It works", Hey, it works. Gives me extra 12vdc power receptacles for the various toys. Haven't had a problem with it.


"John Howard", I really like this thing. Agreed, it's a little large, but it's great having all those extra sockets for all the things I have going on at any given time. I went ahead and hard wired it directly to my battery, and it works great.

"Good outlet", I am skeptical of cheap car adapters but I got this particular one b/c of the decent reviews and I must say it worked great with my car (but only tried with only two ports).

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Perfect Solution!", I bought this item because we have so many different "technological" things to plug into the car. It arrived just in time for a weekend trip out of state. It was perfect! We had the GPS, the Ipod, and 2 cell phone adapters plugged in and everything was powered at once! We use it all the time now!

"4 ports are better than 1", First, I want to clarify from the other review that said this only had 3 usable ports and 1 for the cigarette lighter only. This didn't make sense to me because a normal cig. lighter is typically used for other DC items. The fact is, there is one marked for a cig. lighter, and the other 3 cannot. But all 4 can be used for any electronics. There are 4 12V-DC power sockets.

Second, the size is not that bad for having 4 ports. I ordered the 3-port and 4-port and they're both the same size.

I've been using this with a GPS, Sirius radio, and phone charger with no problems. I'm sure I'll be able to add more items as well.

"To good to be true!", I thought the price for this item was tooooo good to be true and it was. It stopped working the second week after I received it. I will not purchase anything else like this item.

"Add number of power outlets", Have used this power port on several trips and actually around town. We can leave our music adapter and GPS plugged in all the time and still have open sockets for the phone charger(s) in the crowd. I love it. We have a tray in the van that this sits on (I didn't adhere it to anything), so folks in the backseat can reach. Nice!

"Very Nice", Installed this in my car a month or so ago and have had no problems with it thus far. Serves it purpose keeping my GPS charged and also my Sirius Satellite radio on at the same time. Great product
