"Great Job", I very satisfied with the purchase of the Hoover SteamVac. Assembly was fairly easy.....about 20 minutes total.

"Another Great Hoover Product", This Steamvac was a gift for our daughter because she was always borrowing our Steamvac. She says this one works great. We have had our's for about 6 years and with 2 dogs coming in the house with mud & slush our carpets look new because we give them a deep cleaning with the Hoover. I love that they are so easy to fill and empty and that the carpet dries so quickly.

"Works Great!", I had a similar model to this for several years and just wore it out from use. I wanted the new version of basically what I had before, because it worked so well. We have four kids and a dog. The carpets needed cleaning a lot. Also this came in very handy twice when the basement flooded because of the sump over ran. It works great with the hand attachment to clean carpets in the car. This is one of the best products Hoover has ever made. It does a great job. It's easy to use, cleans well. You will be stunned how much dirt it will pull out of carpet.

I got this newer model just before Christmas and did the whole house. The house had new carpeting installed in July of 2007, I cleaned it once before. The new Hoover just does a great job. This is a great value! Well worth what you pay for it. (No I do not work for Hoover! :) )

"super machine", I owned Bissell's for years. This Hoover far surpasses the performance of the Bissell models. I even bought another Hoover for family. Excellent product.

"What a Lifesaver!", With 2 toddlers and a new puppy, this is a must for any mom or big family. This thing is easy to use and cleans like a dream! I have older carpet that had kid spit up, dog hair, etc. and after only a half hr of cleaning, it looks like new! The Clean Surge is great for high traffic areas--the dirt was ground in and it cleaned it up no problem. I cleaned the carpet right before bedtime and it was dry in the morning, even on the Clean Surge wettest parts of the carpet. The convenience of having this is worth the $150. I don't have to worry about unexpected messes--LET EM PLAY!!

"Your Carpet Can Not Be As Dirty As Mine Was! ", I have had carpet shame for sooo long that I almost just bought hardwoods until my husband got the flat screen instead! So I began my thorough review and research on the best steam cleaning products out there. As a member of the medical profession, I don't do anything with out lots of research behind it! My white carpet is unbelievably clean after using this machine. I did have one initial problem where the automatic suction valve (this prevents further suction of the dirty water when the compartment is full) would close preventing suction even when the compartment was completely empty. I realized that my nasty carpet had left grime around the filter that led to this valve and after pulling the gunk off the filter I did not have any problems. I have paid for professional cleaning forever and this looks better! And best of all the carpets were dry with in an hour. But I am neurotic about slowly pulling the vac over the carpet to increase dirty water suction and prevent moisture and residue from sitting in the carpet. So it took me 2 hours to do a nasty 500 sq ft area. I pre-treated and used the clean surge feature almost the entire time. But I can't believe the results. I had old coffee, wine, cat puke, children's drinks and you name it stains that are 95% gone after my first pass. The hoover's 12 amp system and scrub brush system work hard on stain removal and on leaving your carpets dry. Good luck in your hunt and I firmly believe this is the best you can buy. Tip: if you have a stain, make sure to pre-treat before deep cleaning, and then let the hoover's spinning brushes stay over the stain for 30secs or so before sucking out the cleaner. Takes longer but it gets the job done.

"Excellent home steamer", I have 2 dogs, a toddler, and another baby on the way. In shopping for a steam-vac, I wanted something that would not only clean well but would also stand up over time. The other reviews here can attest to the longevity and I can now attest to the capabilities.
I just completed the first pass on our family room and was impressed with the capabilities. The water that was sucked up was gross, which is a good thing here as it's no longer in the carpet! The cleaning that was done was top notch. I expected that with my first use I'd have to take another pass as I learned how to use it, but I was surprised at how few "bald spots" were left. At this point, I'll just have to spot treat the more resilient stains. The hand unit was great on the stairs, so I'm sure it'll be great on those spot stains.
The other great point of this cleaner was that the carpet was left pretty dry. I had the carpet professionally done in the Spring on '08; it took 3 days, with fans blazing, to dry out the family room. Today, I did the main area of the family room, and all the high traffic areas, and it's already just barely moist now, 4 hours later.
I'm officially happy with this purchase.
(If it'd killed the spot stains, I would have given it 5 stars, but I try to give 5 stars sparingly)

"great machine", I've only used it once so far and am very impressed. It cleans quite well and has exceptional suction. No complaints at all. Excellent cleaner, excellent price.

"I'm a Believer", This is my second Hoover steam cleaner. The first was one my husband bought about 10 years ago and it did an okay job but just couldn't handle the dog stain issue very well. We have installed hardwood floors in all but 3 rooms in the house and I didn't want to buy a steamer for 3 rooms. I rented a rug doctor and spent nearly 30 minutes cleaning someone else's filth out before I could use it. It didn't do very well on my cream colored carpet. I finally decided I would buy this one because of the great reviews and the cost compared to Bissell. I couldn't be happier. It did a fantastic job on the carpet and the cream colored one is cleaner that rug doctor ever got it. The cost is reasonable enough to justify buying it to use 3 or so times a year on each of the 3 rooms because of the dogs. It will pay for itself in a few years time over the cost of the rug doctor and with proper care and cleaning should last a good long time. The other Hoover lasted 10 years so I expect this will hold up well as long as it is taken care of which I am a fanatic about doing.

"Great Product", Great product although the clear water tank is a bit small and needs constant refilling. Appart from that, excellent results.
