"Bugs" Don't bother trying to play this game on a laptop -- it never started on mine (a new, high-end dell). I checked the tech support board for legacy interactive and it seems other people have the same problem. Extremely frustrating.
"So Fun It's Agenst The Law!" This Game Is Just Like I Expected. It Has Great Graphics And Keeps You Entertained. I Finished It And I Wanted To Do It Over! If You Want A Good Game And Your A Fan Of L&O This Is A Game For You!
"Please, stop making L&O games." I hesitated to buy "Double or Nothing" becuase I had purchased the first L&O and was very disappointed. Luckily, I got this one at a discount price. I am tired of games that do the work for me. I get to hunt for clues with my mouse but when I find them, I do not get investigate them or make any suppositions about them. That's all done by my helpful partner. Why does he get to have all the fun? Why not give me the opportunity to decide if this is possibly a useful item? There are no real puzzles, all of the questions are spoon-fed to you (even when you do not select that "skill" in the beginning and the game is too short and too predictible. The only good thing about it is that there was no time limit as in the first game. These two games together are so bad that I will never buy another L&O game, ever. I've said the same about the CSI games. I guess you can't blame the makers for wanting to cash-in on the popularity of these shows, but you do no justice whatsoever to the cast, writers and the image of the show. Please, in the name of all that is good, stop making these games.
"The Biggest Bust Ever!" This game was the biggest waste of twenty bucks I have ever spent in my life. The gameplay was insanly easy and I finished the game in under six hours. After that, you don't get any more cases to solve. That is it. Two days of light playing and it goes to the road side. If you want any value for your money, go pick up a copy of anything but this. I will never buy a Legacy Interactive product again in my life.
"Law and Order: Double the Fun" Being a big fan of the TV show, I was psyched when I finally bought this game. I couldn't wait to play it. I had a great time interviewing the suspects, following the leads, submitting search warrants, and finally making an arrest. The trial, part II, was much more difficult. On my first try, the defense was objecting to almost everything I said, and I got to excited and did the same to them. It took me several tries to get a guilty verdict, and there is one major key to sucess. WATCH THE CUT-SCENES, or you will undoubtedly fail. The game pretty much resembles the show, although you don't get to make the closing arguments, they are automatic based on what evidence and witnesses you have presented. Overall, tricky, too single-threaded, but great game. A+

What our customer's say!
"Mostly Nothing", I don't know if the cd was defective or not but I've never had a game that crashed as much as this one. The story line wasn't that good either. Maybe because I was so frustrated with trying to keep it up and running that I couldn't consentrate on the story. I'm giving it a 2 star because I liked the other Law & Order games. Ho Hum, maybe next time.
"Too slow", When you get stuck and think you've done everything you need to do, there is no help button to get a clue and keep going. I got about 3/4 through it and gave up because it was too time consuming to keep trying the same old things over and over.
I loved the game, but when you get stuck, you stay stuck.
"Great 2nd Game for The L&O PC Series!!", First off, let us get the bad done with. In the courtroom, yes, there are a few flaws.. but nothing that would make me take a star off of my rating. p.s. I have yet to review Law & order- Justice is served because i havent finished it yet.
The storyline is very good and in my opinion a little more complex than the first one, it has great fun gameplay, and suspicious characters. More complex extra stories too, that are crucial to the game but have nothing to do with the murderer and finish of the game, it is a great game just like the first one AND like the third one Justice is Served, like i said before you dont even have to like the TV show, (since I dont) the games are fun!! So Buy Them All!!!
"Great plot! Some flaws, as noted previously!", The plot is quite interesting. It is very unlikely that you would find this story on tv so it was certainly more fun for gameplay. The flaws I encountered were in the courtroom. I could not complete the Q&A on about 3-4 important witnesses. The CD just spun and spun -- all I could do was indicate "done with witness". Also, I did not like the "expertise" part of the game, at the beginning, that relates to how the game operates -- the outcome of the answers to those questions is unknown at that point.
"Law and Order: Double or Nothing", This game is a thriller if you are a Law and Order fan you'll love it. There are many plot twists and climaxes in the game. And the best part is, you never know what's gonna happen.

Read this reviews before You buy..."A Grown-up Nancy Drew Adventure", Although I do not particularly like the show Law and Order, I was impressed by this game and would strongly recommend it to anyone that enjoys playing the Her Interactive Nancy Drew PC adventure series. I would make this recommendation on the basis of 3 factors: 1) a worthy storyline; 2) educational value and 3) smooth interface. With regard to the storyline, it involves finding and convicting the killer of a famous scientist who was murdered with a gunshot wound to the head on a busy New York street. As the game progresses, you have to solve the crime by finding clues and interviewing witnesses. There is a good deal of realism in the game, as you must follow police procedure in handling evidence, obtaining warrants, making arrests, etc. There is plenty of educational value in the game for those wanting to learn about probable cause and legal terminology. Finally, the interface is intuitive and very smooth. The games charachters are enjoyable from the suspects to the witnessses. You will also be kept on your toes as you continue to guess about motives for the killing. On the downside, there is really not enough bang-for-the-buck here. Like the Nancy Drew Adventures, you only get one case to solve, and then its over. Diehard gamers might also find that the game is a little on the easy side. Some may also find the gameplay somewhat linear, especially in that the questions that you may ask any possible suspect or witness are really multiple choice. Still, it's an immersive experience very similar to the Nancy Drew series, but dealing with somewhat more mature subject matter. "Glad I found it cheap", I found this game about 2 nights ago at EBGames for $9.99... deffinatly glad that I did not get this before when it was $30... It is a fun game and deffinatly challanging, but like others have said once that case is over... Thats it... There is only one game to do... and a hint if you do get this game in the beginning when it asks you what your strong qualities are its best to put the two that you are the worst at... Cause whatever you chose are the two that you gets hints for... Cause when I first played this I had it on questioning and finding evidence.... On evidence you get a magnifying glass that appears over top of stuff you need... Questioning filters out useless questions... While that was good and all... I am one that once I get stuck I kinda get frustrated so, what I wanted was a few in game hints to lead me in the right direction... so, when I clicked on the chalkboard I found out I could only get them by checking teamwork... So, like I said check the two you will have more problems with as those are the ones you get the hints for... "realy enjoyed", i'm playing this game right now and so far its really easy im not stuck on any parts. its really allot of fun it plays just like the tv show.this is the most fun ive had in a long time.this game is more of a 10 star rateing.when i play other games i get stuck on a part and i just quit playing.this game is easy for me to play theres not allot of action such as jumping, kicking,or punching. i hope they make more of these games. "Too much fun to be this short", First off, the game is totally worth the price - the plot is good, it's challenging without being too hard and the voice acting is way above what you find in most games. My only real complaint is the length - I played this one in just a few sittings (and that was even with panicking for half an hour thinking I had thrown out crucial evidence). But you can't beat the fun you get for the price. The story is compelling, and I enjoyed using interrogation, evidence collection and surveillance to solve the case. I'll be first in line to buy any more Law & Order games that are released; I just hope there's a little more to them. "As Seen on TV", Having only played a few computer games, (I liked my old DOS Transylvania tour on the big old floppies that really were floppy,) I can't compare this to a whole lot. What I can tell you is that I installed it on a Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. and was still playing at 6:00 AM. I played it several times. Like Real Life, different choices result in different outcomes. The theme music from the long-running popular TV show is here, and even the "Cha-chink" noise one hears on the TV show everytime they set a new scene. The player is first presented with the discovery of a homicide. Then, in Part I, with a little (or a lot of) help from Lennie Briscoe (the real voice and face of Jerry Orback,) Lieutenant Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson,) and some guys in Research and Records, Surveillance, the Morgue, and the Lab, the player wanders around NYC gathering stuff that may or may not be useful and interviewing folks who may or may not have "Done it." The Player should eventually, with the help of all those friends above-mentioned and Assistant District Attorney Serena Southerlyn (Elisabeth Rohm,) arrest a suspect. And then, just like in Real Life and TV, the game moves on to Part II, prosecution and trial. During this phase, the player continues to gather evidence and also conducts the trial. I have a few issues with the programmers at this point (questions going to the credibility of a witness *are* allowed on cross-examination. And the options presented the player do not heed Professor Irving Younger's Cross Examination Commandment: "Never Ask a Question to Which You Don't Know the Answer!") But it's a fun way to test one's objection trigger finger. Much more fun than a Bar Exam! /TundraVision, Amazon Reviewer
