"Nice lens ", This telephoto lens works well with our DSC-W1. It MUST be used with the VAD-WA conversion adapter. The lens and adapter are both screw mount and can be left attached together. That way you only need to screw the lens "assembly" directly to the camera. No fuss.

When you go full wide angle with the telephoto attached, there will be some corner darkening, but this can be fixed by zooming out a little.

Pictures at full zoom are sharp. We are very happy with it.
