"3.5" floppy drive", The SmartDisk USB external drive performed exactly as I had hoped. All I had to do was plug in the USB cable and my computer recognized my new A-drive. There have been no problems reading from or writing to this drive. It is nice to get a product that does exactly what you expect.

"Works as promised!", This USB External Floppy Drive works great right out of the box. Both of my newer PCS came without a Floppy Drive and I needed to be able to read floppies that were created from way back in the days of Windows For Workgroups, V3.1, to Windows ME. With two PCs, one running XP/2 and the newest running Vista/64bit, I would have needed to buy two internal Floppy Drives. This USB Drive moves easily between both PCs. I'm very pleased with its fast, faultless performance too.

"Smartdisk floppy drive", This product arrived in 3 days. I've used it to move files from one computer to a new one and to load old programs onto new computer. Works just fine. Quick and no problems with it showing up as a drive on either computer.

"Great Extermal Drive", I still had the need for a floppy drive when I bought a new computer, rather than transfer the floppy drive from my old computer, I decided to purchase this one. It is very reasonably priced and did the job just fine ! It came with a cable, so no need to buy one separately.

"Flawless", I have used this device on occasion on a Windows XP notebook with no problems. Today I used it for the first time with a Vista system. Flawless!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"MINT!", This thing was great it helped me recover so much that I had stored on floppys but had no drive in which to get to the tens of thousands of items stored. It worked quick and I have all the stuff now onto an external hard drive and on HD data discs for safe keeping and back up.

"Nice to be able to use my floppy disks again!", This product is very easy to use. Just plug it in, and it is immediately recognized by my computer. No software to install, nothing. Literally Plug and Play.

"Doesn't work", This product has not worked properly since I received it. It tells me the disk needs to be formatted every time I put in a disk. I can put the same disk in another drive and it works fine.

"Light, Swift, and Accurate", It's only been a month, but this floppy drive has been impeccable with everyday use --- mostly transferring graphics. Not one problem since I plugged in the USB . . . my computer did the rest.

"SMARTDISK FDUSB-TM2", I had purchase this product because I needed a floppy drive and their website mentions it was compatible with Vista O/S. When I recieved the floppy drive it just would not work with my Vista O/S it kept asking me to insert a disk in the drive when I already had a disk in the drive.
I also notice the Smartdisk box had no printed any notice on the box itself to be use in any Vista O/S. I guess it was take your chance.
Printed were 98e to XP.
But the FDUSB-TM2, FDUSB-B2 did not work on my Vista O/S.
Perhaps it may work on yours.
I guess it would be great for XP users and take your chances for your
Vista machines.
